God’s Word instructs us to pray regularly for those in authority over us. According to 1 Timothy 2:1-4:

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. (New Living Translation).

We work year-round to inform, connect, and mobilize intercessors to “stand in the gap” for our nation and our leaders. As hysteria and the drumbeat intensify among our president’s opponents to move with lightning speed to try and finally remove him from office, an urgent call to prayer is critical at this pivotal time.

Trump: I’m Draining the Swamp

President Donald Trump shared a video message recently reminding Americans that the opposition party is attempting to impeach him because of his promise to “drain the swamp.”

“What’s going on now is the single greatest scam in the history of American politics. The Democrats want to take away your guns. They want to take away your healthcare. They want to take away your vote. They want to take away your freedom. They want to take away your judges. They want to take away everything. We can never let this happen. We are fighting to drain the swamp and that’s exactly what I’m doing and you see why we have to do it, because our country is at stake like never before.”

Our president concluded by stating, “It’s all very simple. They’re trying to stop me because I am fighting for you and I’ll never let that happen.”

This is an Emergency

For those who dismiss this as simply “political theater,” it’s time to stop and face the brutal reality that the leftist leaning Democrat party, along with the Trump-hating media and Hollywood celebrities, are deadly serious. These so-called “progressives” who want to “fundamentally transform our nation” have been belligerent in the past pushing for the impeachment of Donald Trump, William Barr, and Brett Kavanaugh. They are now gleeful on steroids in their attempt to try again removing the man they believe stole the election from Hillary Clinton.

Biden’s Conflict of Interest

The silence is deafening from the media concerning the unscrupulous and manipulative activity of then Vice President Biden (which he admitted on a widely circulating video) pressuring the Ukrainian president to do as he demanded so his son could make millions through his Ukrainian involvements. Hunter Biden and his dad are emblematic of the swamp Donald Trump seeks to drain.

I believe that what our president did with his request of the Ukrainian president is no different than what other presidents have done in the past on classified phone conversations. There is absolutely nothing that rises to the level of a national security crime. Nothing. Nada.

Proverbs 18:17 (AMP) cautions us, “He who states his case first seems right, until his rival comes and cross examines him.”

My urgent appeal to every reader at this time is twofold: 1. We rally around our president remembering what he promised and accomplished; 2. We respond with prayer and fasting to thwart the powerful demonic forces at work to divide and destroy our nation.

Remembering Promises Kept

The year prior to President Trump’s providential presidential victory, I sat among 1000 Christian leaders for an invitation only gathering in New York. I counted it an honor to be present with Franklin Graham, David Barton, James and Shirley Dobson, Ben Carson, Governor Mike Huckabee, David Kubal, and multitudes of humble servants who came like me to learn about the man seeking the presidency and passionate to work with all of us to get our nation back on track and “Make America Great Again!”

To be transparent, I agonized constantly during the eight years of the Obama presidency. While I prayed for him every day, I was heartbroken and grieved as I watched him brazenly lie and lead our nation on a downward spiral antithetical to our heritage as a Judeo-Christian nation. At our New York leader’s gathering, I listened to promises and pledges that Donald Trump made and I, like multitudes present, was greatly encouraged and hopeful for a turnaround in America. Was it possible that God would answer the sincere and fervent supplications of millions of patriotic, faith-filled citizens for an “awakening” amidst Goliath-like opposition?

In the face of seemingly insurmountable odds, Donald Trump won the presidency and has worked indefatigably to fulfill the commitments he made at that gathering and overflow rallies.

A Man Who Keeps His Word

President Donald Trump appointed constitutionally conservative Supreme Court justices and judges throughout the land; surrounded himself with Christian cabinet members like Mike Pence, Ben Carson, Sonny Perdue, Mike Pompeo, and Betsy DeVos; stood against the leftist push for globalism to dismantle America’s sovereignty and promote “open borders;” rebuilt our military and stature as the moral leader on the world stage; cut taxes to restore a robust economy and achieve record employment for everyone, especially minorities; restored our relationship with Israel and transferred our Embassy to Jerusalem; worked aggressively with the Heritage Foundation and other organizations to restore eroding religious liberties; stood against illegal immigration and resistance to a secure border wall; confronted the corrupt media and journalists misleading and deceiving the American public; removed unnecessary restrictions and regulations for energy independent, no longer dependent on OPEC; ended the irresponsible “deal” with Iran; and, unashamedly and uncompromisingly stood up for the sanctity of human life and protection of unborn babies.

Defending Unborn Babies

The Bible commands God’s people to protect the unborn and respect human life from womb to tomb. Scripture makes it clear that you cannot be a Christian and endorse murdering developing babies in the womb.

Consider afresh Donald Trump‘s State of the Union address in which he made clear what should be paramount for every God-fearing person- an uncompromising pro-life conviction:

“There could be no greater contrast to the beautiful image of a mother holding her infant child then the chilling displays our nation saw in recent days. Lawmakers in New York cheered with delight upon the passage of legislation that would allow a baby to be ripped from the mother’s womb moments before birth. These are living, feeling, beautiful babies who will never get the chance to share their love and dreams with the world.”

“And then, we had the case of the Governor of Virginia where he basically stated he would execute a baby before birth.”

“To defend the dignity of every person, I am asking the Congress to pass legislation to prohibit the late term abortion of children who can feel pain in the mothers womb. Let us work together to build a culture that cherishes innocent life. And let us reaffirm a fundamental truth: all children – born and unborn -are made in the image of God!”

Having served in the pro-life movement since 1973, I can tell you that Donald Trump is the most pro-life president we have ever had. He’s defunded Planned Parenthood and foreign abortions and was the first sitting president to personally be involved in the March for Life.

Far left, pro-abortionist, Democrat presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, said in her campaign that “a nation shows its character by the way it treats its children.” With the entire Democrat party supporting a pro-abortion platform endorsing the execution of innocent babies in the womb at any point and for any reason up till and even after birth, should we trust the character of this now leftist leaning group and give credence to their almost hysterical push to steamroll the removal of our duly elected President?

Call to Prayer and Fasting

The Democrats have attempted over and over again to remove President Trump. They initially declared the election a fraud. They propagated the notion that President Trump sexually assaulted multiple women. For 2 years (wasting over $30 million in taxpayer money), they hyped the Russian collusion “smoking gun.” Now they’re determined to extract from a phone conversation charges of criminal activity -“high crimes and misdemeanors”- that they maintain warrants immediate removal of Donald Trump as  Commander-and-Chief.

Here’s the deal: As we’ve prayed repeatedly for our president, it’s time to pray again to God “who sits in the heavens and laughs” (Ps 2:3). May it be said, “We have escaped as a bird out of the snare of the hunters; the snare is broken, and we have escaped” (Ps 124:7).
