Pastor Che Ahn, founder and senior pastor at Harvest Rock Church in California, said Marxist ideologies are driving the left to attack the church because since the founding of this nation, the church has been a voice against government control over the people…
“When the pandemic happened, I think a lot of what I would call left-wing governors, you can call Democrat or liberals…seized the opportunity to really control society and one of the areas that I think they really like to control is the church because historically, the church has been the most outspoken against government control in this country,” Ahn whose parents fled communist religious persecution in North Korea told The Epoch Times.
Since the pandemic Pastor Ahn has opposed restrictions on religious freedom and has led a legal battle against California’s violation of the first amendment and won a court case that reaffirms religious freedom…
California has had the most severe restrictions in the nation for places of worship…
More specifically in August 2020, California’s Gov. Gavin Newsom…created four Tiers, keeping 90-plus percent of the churches under a no worship ban, but allowed secular gatherings like large-scale protests like Black Lives Matter.
From August 2020 Ahn, staff, and parishioners faced daily criminal charges of one year in jail and $1,000 in fines every day that Harvest Rock Church remained open…
Harvest Rock Church staff and members stood against these threats and unconstitutional mandates, risking criminal charges and fines. Ahn took his fight for religious freedom to the courts and…won the case with the supreme court ruling, allowing all places of worship to open.
“But thank God that we chose to…[defy] [Newsom’s] orders because we feel strongly that the Constitution is the supreme law of the land, and no one’s above the Constitution…the Constitution protects our right, not only for free speech but for us to assemble, to worship…” said Ahn.
“They gave three rulings: one is that you can have in-person worship. Number two, that we can meet in homes and have Bible studies and prayer meetings because Newsom had forbade that as well, and thirdly, that we can sing because Newsom was really clear that you can’t sing,” said Ahn.
Ahn told The Epoch Times, that he thinks socialism is, “not about we the people…to me as a pastor, I see [the shift toward socialism] as a real “spiritual battle.”
“Marxism is a religion. Humanism is a religion…That’s why we’re having such a battle in our nation against the values of our founding fathers who…mostly…had biblical values…” said Ahn.
Ahn said not only did they win the case but their membership expanded after people heard about the Church standing up for religious freedoms…

Herb, I just read your reply to my reply to your reply, whew! If am remembering correctly, your home state is CA and you are experiencing drought, a backlog at the docks (like never), an unsuccessful recall of a greatly duplicitous governor…really countless issues. However, your comments never reflect those seeming insurmountable problems.
When you wrote of your accomplishment this past year, I remembered Romans 12:2″… let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” God’s Word IS good and pleasing and perfect! “For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.” The Word made flesh. We must read the WHOLE Word, from “In the beginning” to “Yes, I am coming soon!.” Much like the study of history, the Bible is meant to be taken from the beginning to the end as it is HIS story. I believe that I have lost track of the thread of thought ,,being followed, here- as far as I remember my comments on california were about a month prior, or at least quite a while ago.
I remember my initial response in this thread being to Pastor Che Ahn’s victory for freedom- however, and nonetheless, I think i will adhere to praying on my own, for a while ,while reading these articles,and refrain from commentary

Loving, Merciful, Father, Thank you for the example of this man. Thank you for Intercessors for America and Dave Kubal and his staff that keep us in focus in prayer each day. You know Lord I am so very grateful for them. They have a big job give them strength each day. Lord you told me last week to be steadfast. Defined that means the quality of being resolutely or dutifully firm and unwavering in adversity. A similar word is constancy. Thank you Lord for examples like this Pastor and Dave and his staff. Lord I plead the Jesus over Pastor Che Ahn and his church and for Dave and the Intercessors for America staff. I know we are in a war zone and I thank you for the blood of Jesus.
