I Prayed have prayed
Lord, help us see, know, and reflect the awesome love in Your death and resurrection.
Reading Time: 4 minutes

Recently, I was engaged in a conversation with my 6-year-old niece, and she asked me where I work. I explained simply that I’m a writer, and that I do my best to write what God wants me to write. She smiled and said: “That’s good, Tía Gloria [Aunt Gloria], remember to let all the people know that Jesus loves them. You should write about that.”

Let the IFA community know how to pray for you.

My heart melted. The child’s message was so simple, and so powerful, and yet we all tend to forget that message. But with Resurrection Day just around the corner, it’s certainly fitting to remind you that Jesus loves you.

If Jesus Christ, the Holy One and Risen King, were to be described with just one word, that word could be simplified as this: love.

And love is not just what He did, it also embodies who He is.

“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:12–13).

Sadly, some may equate love with weakness, but that could not be further from the truth. Love is a powerful force. It was the love of God that led Jesus to the cross and kept Him there. Remember what He prayed in Gethsemane:

And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will” (Matthew 26:39).

He left His splendor, honor, and glory in heaven to be born here on earth with nothing (see Isaiah 53:3).

He was innocent, but was counted guilty for sins He did not commit. He bore our sins on that cross (see Romans 5:6–8).

His body was battered and broken, so that our bodies could be healed (see Isaiah 53:5).

His head was pierced with a crown of thorns, so that we could have the mind of Christ (see 1 Corinthians 2:16).

Just a single drop of His blood is enough to make our scarlet sins turn white as wool (see Isaiah 1:18).

Through His death, He tore down the veil of separation that kept us from God. Now we can boldly approach the throne of God to find mercy and grace when we are in need (see Hebrews 4:16).

When He rose from the dead, He was victorious. He has all authority over death, and we no longer have to fear it anymore. He lives! (see 1 Corinthians 15:55–58).

We who were once enemies of the cross are now called sons and daughters of God, and we are seated in heavenly places with Christ (see John 1:12; Ephesians 2:6).

When we are struggling or feel rejected and alone, He is at the right hand of God interceding for us (see Hebrews 4:15; 7:25).

When we fall short, He extends His grace and reminds us that His grace is sufficient (see 2 Corinthians 12:9).

He loved us first, and this is how I know what love really looks like (see 1 John 4:19).

He is the standard of love.

His name is Jesus Christ — Yeshua the Messiah — and He loves you, even on days when it’s hard to love yourself.

He laid down his life for you at the cross.

He is alive! He still heals today. He still loves the unlovable. He still intercedes. He still saves. He still is unwilling for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance. He is Jesus! He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

And if that isn’t love, then I don’t know what is.

There is no greater love. There never will be, but it doesn’t end here. Now we are to go forth and share His message of love with the world. We are called to demonstrate His love. The love of God in us shows that we are His disciples.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:34–35).

By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth (1 John 3:16–18).

As Resurrection Day approaches, let’s celebrate the resurrection every day because He is the resurrection and the life. Let’s share the love of God with everyone — and not just on Sundays, but every day. Let’s not be just hearers, but doers also. Let’s not just be talkers, but let our actions speak louder. Let’s speak the truth in love, and let us love because He first loved us.

Pray this prayer with me:

Lord, my words fail when I think about what You did and continue to do. You are worthy Lord, and we magnify You. Thank You for the cross. Thank You for Your precious blood that justifies and cleanses me from all unrighteousness.

And Father, thank You for calling us sons and daughters through Your holy Son. Let me never forget what You and He have done.

Lord Jesus, Your life was poured out as an offering for my sins, so let me be that living sacrifice for You. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight.

Father, let me forgive because I have been forgiven, and let me love because I have been loved first. Conform me to the image of Christ every day, even if it takes trials, tears, and persecutions to get me there. I’m Yours, my Father. I give You all the honor, glory, and praise. You are worthy! In the name of Yeshua the Messiah, I pray this. Amen.

So, how will you be celebrating His resurrection? Tell us below!

MESSIAH [CHRIST] TOOK MY GUILT AND SHAME
By Eva, 1991

In desperation, I sought Him amidst the maddening crowd.
He seemed so far away, this Man, Who was approaching death’s dark shroud.
Yet, inward pain kept driving me to climb up that rugged hill
Until I stood before the Lamb of G-D, Who was prepared to be killed.
“It’s me you want, not Him!” I cried. But nobody seemed to hear.
“Why are you taking away His life?” I cried out in penitent tears.
“I’m the murderer you set free! Barabbas is my name!
I’m the one who deserves to die! Why then is He taking my blame?
I’m the defiled and guilty one! Take my wretched life instead!
For I deserve the punishment that’s been placed upon His head!”
Yet all the while I’d pleaded, I could hear the driving nails
Amidst the mocking, jeering crowd and the noise of sobs and wails.
Then ceased the sound of hammering. When I looked up, my heart was pained
At the grueling sight before me: A severely torn and bloodstained Man;
A Man shamed, humiliated, badly beaten and even worse;
A Man highly rejected, mocked, derided, and even cursed.
And when the Cross stood erected, I saw Heaven’s wide-opened door
Through Him Who freely took my place: Yeshua [Jesus], my Savior and Lord.
“Forgive them Father”, I heard Him cry, “For they know not what they do.”
He was speaking of the whole wide world, not just of the Romans and the Jews.
He was speaking of Barabbas while on the Cross at Calvary
Messiah [Christ] took my guilt and shame, and set this murderer free.

(We all stand guilty before a righteous G-D, Who “…so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” – John 3:16).
“Behold the Lamb of G-D Who taketh away the sins of the world”.

“Happy Easter / Passover” 2023.

Father God thank you for the Cross, I know it had to be agonizing and painful. Jesus the suffering you had to of felt, I cannot comprehend – you showed a greater LOVE that is impossible by a human’s Love. Your love is the greatest sacrifice ever felt and seen. Why would one treat it so nonchalantly? One of the most important words that is written has become strength to many but to some ramifications “ something that is the result of an action, decision, they make bad situations” . after understanding what was said to Mary which caused a power and the gift of the Holy Spirit- v. 37 says “ For no word from God will ever fail.” God thank you for the words that give us Life as we learn from your words how we must feed on them- know that – “Jesus conquered sin, sickness, and death”; from His words which He Gave to everyone, to learn of Faith, to walk in Victory. Words of sin spoken, if we listen and speak them can help us to fall. We have not learned That Christ redeemed us from the curse of sin, for it is written- I never understood that the words Faith were so powerful, until I immersed my self in the words that were written by Gods Apostles. All I heard from others was those Faith preachers! God has given us a Love that knows No Bounds. Today as I enter the Walls of the church, I feel humbled by His Love, I want to walk stronger in the declarations He gave us” I am God, there is no one like Me”declaring the end from the beginning” “ My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish All My good pleasure.” Isaiah 46-9-10” What an amazing God! Words of God is so critical in our life, as we learn from His words He involves us in His fulfillment of His Love. Today I give my honored Praise to our one and only Heavenly Father as we keep learning from His Words, that are so powerful when we learn to put them into action. I Decree: “ We decree Gods words over America commanding, Kingdom of God, come will of God, be done in this land” I lift up prayer today that Gods words will come forth and many will be saved and learn of Gods Love. Today God start on a new fresh start as I decree strongholds will be dismantled concerning this aggressive system and the demonic forces that has plagued our America, Israel and other Nations. Let the redeemed of The Lord say so!! ✝️🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️Celebrating today the blessings and The God who is More than enough!

I think it’s the best decision I’ve heard. Kids on social media is too much freedom for kids to deal with. It has become a way for gossip, bullying, & sexual lessons that expose too much too soon, & not the correct way.

What a precious child! I agree with each word written here and simply pray:

Dear Abba Father, May the childlike faith of this little girl be grown in abundance, beauty, compassion and devotion. May You agree to this prayer in a degree beyond dream or imagining. This is my prayer for ALL of our children and may You do so for Your Glory Father. I am praying in the Name of Jesus Christ for Holy Spirit Power to have authority over all. Amen

Happy Resurrection Sabbath ✝️🕎🔥⚔️❤️

“Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust. O my soul, you have said to the Lord, “You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You.” As for the saints who are on the earth, “They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.” Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god; Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, Nor take up their names on my lips. O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Yes, I have a good inheritance. I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons. I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope. For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

I used to be a part of a group that ministered in nursing homes. We would lead worship, bring a short message or sermon, and then pray for people. Before covid restrictions, we would go into the rooms of those who were not mobile. What do g did they always want us to sing? ‘Jesus Loves Me This I Know’. These dear ones near to the end of this life on earth had their priorities straight. This is our hope and our eternal bottom line!

Oh that makes me think of when I was working at a medical center: my hubby cut out of wood ,colored and decorated them : then with permission we hung up the encouragement of the HOLY Spirit: fruits of the spirit: my coworker and I made our office a center of prayer, and a place where they could be loved by Jesus through us. Also at our home the front has different signs of a message of hope, through repentance from sin and accepting the gift of love declared in John 3: 16 plus a sign of all lives matter: opening the eyes to those who want to abort a little one: that they have another choice.
