RELIGION NUMBER ONE REASON TEENS DELAY HAVING SEX
Thank God that fewer teens are having sex and that the top reason teens abstain is religious or moral beliefs. May God continue to work to strengthen the commitment to purity among Christian teens and to bring revival among teens.
For God wants you to be holy and pure and to keep clear of all sexual sin so that each of you will marry in holiness and honor—not in lustful passion as the heathen do, in their ignorance of God and his ways. (1 Thess 4:3-5)
“New federal data show that fewer teens are having sex, but those who do are using contraception more often to avoid pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
The data, published Thursday, are part of the National Survey of Family Growth, and were collected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics.
The study’s goal was to examine the risk of pregnancy among teenagers. Focusing on heterosexual intercourse, researchers interviewed more than 4,000 male and female teenagers between 15 and 19 years old. The data were collected between 2011 and 2015. . . .
For nonsexually active males and females, the No. 1 reason to delay having sex was because it is against “religion or morals.” For those who did have sex, the majority responded that it was with someone with whom they were “going steady” (74 percent for female teens and 51 percent for males).” (Excerpted from The Washington Times, reporting by Laura Kelly.)

Give them moral courage Lord, help them to not value the opinion of peers more than you, Lord. Strengthen them Lord God, they are besieged on every side. In Jesus name, Amen
