I Prayed have prayed
Lord, Your Word says: At that time they will call Jerusalem ‘The throne of the Lord.’ And all the nations will gather in Jerusalem to honor the name of the Lord. They will not follow the strong-will of their sinful heart any more. (Jer 3:17) We pray this for Thursday.
Reading Time: 3 minutes

Today, Jerusalem’s role as a gathering place for kings will appear. The event commemorates the Holocaust but one rabbi sees it as a decisive moment in which the nations will choose which side they will fight for in the final battle between Good and Evil.

The Fifth World Holocaust Forum called “Remembering the Holocaust, Fighting Antisemitism,” organized by the World Holocaust Forum Foundation in cooperation with Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center, will take place today, 23 January 2020 at the museum’s Warsaw Ghetto Square in Jerusalem. The event marks the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp and International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

The list of world leaders attending is quite impressive. At least 47 world leaders, including 26 presidents, four kings (from Spain, Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg), and four prime ministers will represent their countries that include the U.S., Russia, England, Romania, Italy, Austria, Greece, Cyprus, Albania, Croatia, Georgia, Bulgaria, Sweden, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Finland, Bosnia, Iceland, Armenia, Australia, Canada, and several others.

Yad Vashem invited every country that was under Nazi occupation, every country that was an Allied power. In a poignant gesture, Germany was also invited.

The U.S. will be represented by Vice President Mike Pence and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The gathering will be addressed by Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, French President Emmanuel Macron, Prince of Wales HRH Prince Charles, Russian President Vladimir Putin, a senior leader from the US, and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. On Wednesday, leaders will gather at Rivlin’s residence for an official dinner and discussion. Spain’s King Felipe VI will deliver an address on behalf of the world leaders.

The Foreign Ministry  called the event the third-largest gathering of international leaders in Israel’s history, after the funerals of Yitzhak Rabin and Shimon Peres.

The gathering certainly fulfills King David’s vision of his capital as a gathering place for leaders.

Yerushalayim built up, a city knit together,to which tribes would make pilgrimage, the tribes of Hashem, —as was enjoined upon Yisrael— to praise the name of Hashem. There the thrones of judgment stood, thrones of the house of DavidPsalms 122:3-5

This vision of King David was prophesied to be revealed before the Messiah.

At that time, they shall call Yerushalayim “Throne of Hashem,” and all nations shall assemble there, in the name of Hashem, at Yerushalayim. They shall no longer follow the willfulness of their evil hearts. Jeremiah 3:17

“Whenever world leaders gather in Jerusalem, its a sign the holy city is claiming its rightful, biblical place as the seat of global leadership,” said Rabbi Tuly Weisz, publisher of Breaking Israel News. “We believe there is a heavenly Jerusalem and an earthly Jerusalem and with so many presidents and kings visiting Yad Vashem to commemorate the Jewish victims of the Holocaust, the earthly Jerusalem rises up towards heavenly Jerusalem in a beautiful way.”

Rabbi Hillel Weiss, spokesman for the Sanhedrin, noted that from its pre-Abrahamic roots under King Malki-Tzedek, Jerusalem was destined to be an international forum with a higher purpose.

“Jerusalem’s nature is to make peace, to bring together, to make things one and whole,” Rabbi Weiss said, noting that the Hebrew word שלם (shalem; complete) is contained in the name of the city. “The worst lie perpetrated by the media today is portraying Jerusalem as a ‘flashpoint for violence’ or as a city divided.”

Rabbi Weiss suggested that this misconception of Jerusalem is being acted out in the upcoming event.

“There is a form of global schizophrenia when it comes to the Holocaust and Israel,” Rabbi Weiss said. “On one hand, they recognize that the Holocaust took place and it was, of course, the most horrible act by humanity in the history of the world. But while recognizing this, Europeans make a peculiar disconnect separating what happened in World War Two from their anti-Israel actions today. It is as if they believe that there is no connection between anti-Semitism and unreasonable hatred of the only Jewish state in the world.”

Rabbi Weiss illustrated this point by the conspicuous non-participation of Poland in the Jerusalem event commemorating an event that took part inside its borders. Ironically,  Poland’s President Andrzej Duda announced last week that he will not attend the event because organizers had not included him as a speaker at the forum. Most of the Nazi extermination camps, including Auschwitz, were located in Poland and the Holocaust took the lives of three million Polish Jews, half of all Jews killed. Despite these facts, Poland made it a criminal offense last year to accuse it of complicity in Nazi war crimes. The law garnered criticism from many world leaders including Prime Minister Netanyahu who  called it an “attempt to rewrite history.”. . .

Our Heavenly Father, who said “By me kings reign, and rulers enact just laws. Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth; Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. For to which of the angels did God ever say: “You are my Son; today I have become Your Father”? Or again: “I will be His Father, and He will be My Son”?
So also Christ did not take upon Himself the glory of becoming a high priest, but He was called by the One who said to Him: “You are My Son; today I have become Your Father.”

I will indeed appoint him as My firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry and you perish in your rebellion, when His wrath ignites in an instant. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.” Amen!

Thank You, Lord, for President Trump moving our embassy so that the US can recognize the true capital of Israel. Father, protect Trump and Pence because they are blessing Israel (the apple of Your eye). Forgive those of us in the US who voted for Obama and then Hillary- two people who actively help Israel’s enemies. And please reverse all the damage the liberals did against Israel while causing anti-semitism to rise around the world. Thank You for our new President and all he is doing to reverse the damage those two did. Amen

Father God,
I lift up the nation of Poland and its leader. I just wonder how to think about this and ask that You give each of us intercessors clarity.
The nation lost more than 3 million of their Polish citizens. It seems they were trampled on by the Nazis. I know Poland had the largest underground Resistance in Europe. They fought the tyranny and were counting on the Russians to join forces with them at a crucial time (the Warsaw Uprising), but were betrayed.
. I can understand, LORD, why Poland would not want to be accused of being complicit in the Holocaust, and why the leader would think it would have been appropriate for him to speak. There are so many details and heart motivations that only You know.

Father, we ask that You help each nation to be a sheep nation. Help us not condemn other nations, but pray for each other and be in unity in the bond of love. We are all Your creation and Your word says the nations are Jesus’ inheritance (Psalm2:8). You want all of us to be in Your family.
Thank You! Thank You that we can ask and receive in Jesus’ name. Amen

As a British Christian, I am praying in my home in Dusseldorf, Germany, for God’s kingdom purposes to be fulfilled at, and through, this historic event.
I agree with all the prayers above and proclaiming God’s word-Psalm 102:12-17; Isaiah 62:1-2; Jeremiah 33:9.
As I pray for more and more nations to support Israel and to become sheep nations, I pray too for all my brothers and sisters, all followers of Yeshua, the King of the Jews, the Great King of Israel, to unite to fight against anti-semitiam and for Israel. Remove the blindness of replacement theology, indifference and anti-Zionism from your body, dear Lord Jesus! Give us all our Father’s heart for your city, nation and people.

Lord God, even as we pray and thank You for your continuing guarding hand over those gathered in Jerusalem this week, we also ask that protection over the IDF, the police, and others in the physical protecting the crowds against criminal activities. Let them not be distracted from their duties, and ease any stress from the constant high alertness. We give You the thanks and the Glory.

Lord, we pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for all who enter in on this solemn day of remembrance. Lord, protect your people. Lord, may you rule and reign over this gathering place and may all who enter know you are God. Protect every gate of the city. Set your watch over Israel. Bring your Shalom peace as only you can bring. Bless our American delegates. Protect Vice President Pence and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Bless those who bless Jerusalem. Crush the head of any serpent that comes to steal, kill, and destroy. We plead the precious blood of Jesus over each speaker and each attendee. Unless you protect the city, Lord, they who watch, watch in vain. Have mercy, Lord, Remember your people. May the blood of the slain cry out to you. Wipe away every tear and make yourself known. Bring honor and glory to your name, and may each speaker, each in attendance know they have been in the presence of a mighty God. Come Lord Jesus, come! In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Lord God I ask that you will send out legions of angels this day to protect, to minister, and to wage warfare in heavenly places for all these ‘kings’ gathering together. I stand against this spirit of antisemitism and speak oneness of heart in the remembering of the terrible times 75 years ago. Let there be unity such as never before.
