President Donald Trump announced new federal guidelines today to protect the constitutional right to pray in public schools.
His action, which centers on the Department of Education, reaffirms the religious freedom for students and teachers to pray and conduct bible studies and prayer meetings at school, rights that eroded over the past 18 years, and most significantly during the previous administration.

“We will not allow faithful Americans to be bullied by the hard Left,” Trump said.
The White House revealed this new bold action on Religious Freedom Day, an annual event held on January 16 to mark America’s long history of protecting religious liberty.

“A society without religion cannot prosper. A nation without faith cannot endure, because justice, goodness and peace cannot prevail without the glory of Almighty God,” Trump said this month at his evangelical rally. “For America to thrive in the 21st Century we must renew faith and family as the center of American life.”
“These angry radicals want to impose absolute conformity by censoring speech, tearing down crosses and symbols of faith and banning religious believers from public life,” he said. “But we will not back down, we are standing tall for the values that we hold dear.”
“My administration will never stop fighting for Americans of faith,” he said. “I really do believe we have God on our side.”
David Kubal, President of Intercessors for America, shares, “It is exciting to see this kind of bold action from a President. Many thought that eroding religious freedoms was too much of a “sacred cow” to touch. President Trump is not afraid to do the hard things that many Americans want and need to be done. Many young people have grown up in the environment of only knowing a religiously-hostile public school system, hiding to pray with friends, or taking their Christian groups outside of school after too many restrictions. I am thankful that President Trump took action to protect religious freedom, bringing things back into alignment with our Constitution.”

On Friday, nine other agencies published rules reinforcing the religious freedoms that Americans enjoy but have been chilled in recent years: Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Homeland Security, the Agency for International Development, Department of Agriculture, Department of Education, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Justice, Department of Labor and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Praise God almighty. I have been praying for years that prayer would be restored in our schools. So many children never hear about the way to salvation anywhere else. This is what our nation needs. I prayed for years as a Moms In Touch mom and know the power of prayer for our students and teachers, schools and staff. Years ago after school prayer was taken ‘out’ of the schools, the tragedy of the death of JFK happened. My HS was named after him. I never stopped believing for a return to what aligns the head with what follows…an open door for prayer is that plumb line. Pres Trump, thank you! We’ve wept at the flag poles of many schools, praying for open doors to prayer in education, so that opportunities would prevail to open hearts of students and staff. Thank you Lord!
This is why we as true believers need to stand behind President Trump and get out there and vote this coming election. He may not be perfect but which one of us is. Time to stand up for the Gospel and proclaim the death, burial and Resurection of our Lord Jesus Christ! Prayer back in our schools is just a start. We as believers are greater than we act and need to start standing up for what we believe. 1 Thessalonians 5:16 Rejoice always and delight in your faith; 17 be unceasing and persistent in prayer; 18 in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.
We need some legal handouts for people to use with the schools. I’ve seen some violations of other changes that have been made (those benefitting veterans who have been told to keep their mouths shut and go with the flow) Schools for the most part don’t favor the President. He makes changes and they have no intention of following them. Litigation seems to be the one cookie they will jump for.

This is the beginning of the revival of the Praising of the name of our Lord Jesus in our hearts, in our lives, so that the lost would see the power of the Word of God living out in our daily lives in our communities, in our cities, our towns, our capitals, and our states. less than what we have today!!! It’s time for us to show and rejoice with the love of our God with all of our hearts, souls, and mind, and love our neighbor, and praise the name of Jesus.

In Jesus name give our President your grace to continuously seek and embrace your Wisdom from on high. Let your will be done in our Leaders, country, Nations families churches government and thanks to you our schools again.

Thank you Lord for a president that is fighting for your people! What an answer to prayer! Father we pray for President Trump because the enemy hates prayer. Cover him, his family, admin. and advisors with the blood of Jesus Christ. Protect them from every trap of the enemy. We pray for teachers, students, and School staff to be bold and not be afraid. Father I pray with this one act that we would see prayer movements spreading throughout schools. We pray that even those who will oppose prayer in schools will be eyewitnesses to the prevailing power of prayer. Father thank you for this answer to prayer. Thank you for a praying president, a man and administration that believes in the importance of prayer altogether, but the necessity of needing prayer in our schools. We bless you Lord, and we continue to pray in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen Gloria! I pray that this specific act–this declaration– from the highest figure of authority in our nation would cause a shift in our schools, in our nation. We saw the negative version of that when President Obama made declarations from the White House about LGBT marriage and rights, and saw the negative spiritual result. I believe we will see a positive shift, having aligned our nation with God’s Word and purposes.
So true. Obama also declared over America that we are not a Christian nation and now Trump is reversing that curse.
