National Public Radio has been playing Democratic candidate speeches and I’ve listed a few consistencies below:

*Government won’t save us, but they do define right and wrong for us.

*They can take our hard-earned money, or force us to pay for things we strongly disagree with.

*They do determine parental rights.

*They can determine America is not sovereign and should acquiesce to the laws of global government as we started to see under the last Administration.

*They can decide religious freedom [which] means you and I have a right to believe what we want in our hearts and homes, but the minute we live it in the public square we could be jailed, fined, etc. We’ve already seen this activity increase under the last Administration. Thankfully, this President has helped restore the original definition of religious freedom and has strengthened First Amendment Rights for all and helped restore some of the fundamental principles that undergird our Republic.

A few of the Democratic Party positions:
*Free stuff, including college (= high taxes).
*Advancing extreme sexual “rights.”
*Religious freedom means you live a private faith or face the consequences.
*The state is the author of rights (the 2012 Convention voted to remove God from the platform and there are real efforts to remove “so help you God” from oaths in the House).
*Free healthcare for all / Medicare for all (government run = lower standard of care and forces all eligible to pay for high monthly premiums).
*Military (haven’t heard any comment this round, but in the past it means reduce the strength of our military).
*Additional steps toward socialism.
*Repeal the Hyde Amendment which prevents federal tax dollars to fund abortions.
*Abortion on demand and up to delivery.
*No protection or care for babies who survive abortion.
*Gender fluidity: The notion [that] there is an increasing number of genders, and all Americans have to honor the gender requests of these individuals or face the consequences, like losing jobs and more. It’s happening now.
*Move toward global governance.
*Open borders which has dangerous repercussions.

A few of the Republican Party positions:
*God is Author of rights so rights can’t be taken away.
*Pro-life.
*Capitalism.
*Healthcare reform that doesn’t force people to pay if don’t want to.
*Conscience protections that allow people in the medical field or other professions to not have to perform treatments or surgeries they disagree with.
*Protects parental rights.
*Protects religious freedom for all and keeps it a priority.
*Strong military.
*Biological fact supports sex and gender.
*National sovereignty.
*Maintaining a healthy and legal flow of immigrants.
*Protecting innocence of children.

Lord, may the agendas of each political party be made clear in the days ahead so that believers can rightly determine your will and purpose for each. Give us eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit is saying concerning these issues according to Your Word. Give us greater conviction concerning our responsibility as citizens to elect officials who honor and support Your Word and Kingdom values. For the sake of the gospel and the advancement of Christ. Amen.
