I Prayed have prayed
Father God, let our nation’s leaders be granted wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Protect theses soldiers and give them strength and energy.
Reading Time: 5 minutes

Washington, DC has been continuously militarized beginning the week leading up to Joe Biden’s inauguration, when 20,000 National Guard troops were deployed onto the streets of the nation’s capital. The original justification was that this show of massive force was necessary to secure the inauguration in light of the January 6 riot at the Capitol. . . .

Working with federal law enforcement agencies, the National Guard Bureau announced on Monday that between 5,000 and 7,000 troops will remain in Washington until at least mid-March.

The rationale for this extraordinary, sustained domestic military presence has shifted several times, typically from anonymous U.S. law enforcement officials. . . .

So the new claim became that the impeachment trial of former President Trump that will take place in the Senate in February necessitated military reinforcements. On Sunday, Politico quoted “four people familiar with the matter” to claim that “Trump’s upcoming Senate impeachment trial poses a security concern that federal law enforcement officials told lawmakers last week requires as many as 5,000 National Guard troops to remain in Washington through mid-March.”

The next day, APciting “a U.S. official,” said the ongoing troop deployment was needed due to “ominous chatter about killing legislators or attacking them outside of the U.S. Capitol.” But the anonymous official acknowledged that “the threats that law enforcement agents are tracking vary in specificity and credibility.” Even National Guard troops complained that they “have so far been given no official justifications, threat reports or any explanation for the extended mission — nor have they seen any violence thus far.” . . .

Deploying National Guard or military troops for domestic law enforcement purposes is so dangerous that laws in place from the country’s founding strictly limit its use. It is meant only as a last resort, when concrete, specific threats are so overwhelming that they cannot be quelled by regular law enforcement absent military reinforcements. Deploying active military troops is an even graver step than putting National Guard soldiers on the streets, but they both present dangers. As Trump’s Defense Secretary said in response to calls from some over the summer to deploy troops in response to the Black Lives Matter and Antifa protests: “The option to use active duty forces in a law enforcement role should only be used as a matter of last resort, and only in the most urgent and dire of situations.”

Are we even remotely at such an extreme state where ordinary law enforcement is insufficient? The January 6 riot at the Capitol would have been easily repelled with just a couple hundred more police officers. The U.S. is the most militarized country in the world, and has the most para-militarized police force on the planet. Earlier today, the Acting Chief of the Capitol Police acknowledged that they had advanced knowledge of what was planned but failed to take necessary steps to police it. . . .

There was virtually no unrest or violence during inauguration week — except for some anti-Biden protests held by leftist and anarchist protesters that resulted in a few smashed windows at the Oregon Democratic Party and some vandalism at a Starbucks in Seattle. “Trump supporters threatened state Capitols but failed to show on Inauguration Day,” was the headline NBC News chose to try to justify this gap between media claims and reality.

This threat seems wildly overblown by the combination of media outlets looking for ratings, law enforcement agencies searching for power, and Democratic Party operatives eager to exploit the climate of fear for a new War on Terror.

But now is not a moment when there is much space for questioning anything, especially not measures ostensibly undertaken in the name of combatting white-supremacist right-wing extremism — just as no questioning of supposed security measures was tolerated in the wake of the 9/11 attack.  . . .

What makes this all the more remarkable is that a mere seven months ago, a major controversy erupted when The New York Times published an op-ed by Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) which, at its core, advocated the deployment of military troops to quell the social unrest, protests and riots that erupted over the summer after the killing in Minneapolis of George Floyd. To justify the deployment of National Guard and active duty military forces, Cotton emphasized how many people, including police officers, had been seriously maimed or even killed as part of that unrest:

Outnumbered police officers, encumbered by feckless politicians, bore the brunt of the violence. In New York State, rioters ran over officers with cars on at least three occasions. In Las Vegas, an officer is in “grave” condition after being shot in the head by a rioter. In St. Louis, four police officers were shot as they attempted to disperse a mob throwing bricks and dumping gasoline; in a separate incident, a 77-year-old retired police captain was shot to death as he tried to stop looters from ransacking a pawnshop. This is “somebody’s granddaddy,” a bystander screamed at the scene. . . .

The backlash to the publication of this op-ed was immediate, intense, and, at least in my memory, unprecedented. Very few people were interested in engaging the merits of Cotton’s call for a deployment of troops in order to prove the argument was misguided.

Their view was not that Cotton’s plea for soldiers in the streets was misguided, but that advocacy for it was so obscene, so extremist, so dangerous and repugnant, that the mere publication of the op-ed by The Paper of Record was an act of grave immorality.

“I’ll probably get in trouble for this, but to not say something would be immoral. As a black woman, as a journalist, I am deeply ashamed that we ran this,” pronounced the paper’s Nikole Hannah-Jones in a now-deleted tweet. The New York Times Magazine writer Taffy Brodesser-Akner posted a multi-tweet denunciation that compared Cotton to an anti-Semite who “says, ‘The Jew is a pig,’” argued that “hatred dressed up as opinion is not something I have to withstand,” and concluded with this flourish: “I love working at the Times and most days of the week I’m very proud to be part of its mission. But tonight, I understand the people who treat me like I work at a tobacco company.” . . .

There is a meaningful difference between deploying National Guard troops and active duty soldiers on American streets. But both measures are extraordinary, create a climate of militarization, have a history of resulting in excessive force against citizens engaged in peaceful protest and constitutionally protected dissent, and present threats and dangers to civil liberties far beyond ordinary use of law enforcement.

Why was the idea of troops in American streets so grotesque and offensive in June, 2020 but so normalized now? Why were these troops likely to indiscriminately arrest and murder black reporters and other journalists over the summer but are now trusted to protect them? And what does it say about the current climate, and the serious dangers it poses, that the public is being trained so easily to acquiesce to extreme measures in the name of domestic security?

We are witnessing the media and their public treat what ought to be regarded with great suspicion as not only normal but desirable, all through the manipulation of fears and inflation of threats.  . . .

The MSM plays this up as if there is going to be some all out assault on DC or the capital. Sorry but their lies are not very convincing. In fact, their lies and what they hide behind should make all of us righteously angry. It’s both tragic and downright demonic that they think the American people are stupid. There maybe a few who really don’t understand what is going on but overall, 85% of America knows exactly what is being pushed on them as a false narrative.
The loss of truth, honesty, integrity and character in our nation is rooted in our acceptance of compromise for the last 3 decades. Looking the other way as wrongdoing moved forth has now brought certain godless people a boldness from hell that says “I really don’t care what you think – I will do this anyway”. These are strongholds that Christians must continually pull down with the word of God. This isn’t going away with simple “please Lord”. I don’t mean any disrespect to anyone that is before God and crying out in that way. I’m just stating that our enemy Satan is going to continually attack in one way or another and we must recognize it. Strongholds must be pulled down by using the armor of God and the faith that God gives to each of us. Asking God for mercy for our nation and the people….when you feel spent emotionally and spiritually is well within the realm of necessity. We don’t deserve His mercy but if we continue to ask and humble ourselves, He will come to our rescue.
God does not want us to fall back. He truly wants our nation to leave behind our apathy and turn our hearts to him in daily service. We need to continually cry out to our Lord. When the battle gets to be too much, He will assist us in the battle.

The troops are wanted and needed in DC because the people sitting in high places at this time have super guilty feelings. They are thieves and thugs and they know it. And they are scared and want protection. Mistakenly they think they got away with heist. But there is a God in America! In God we trust. He is victorious!!! He is our ever present help! Wait for it!!!

I pray this is not a preview of life in America with this Socialist Administration. It is a total abuse of power and changes the entire climate of our nation’s capitol. It appears to be an operation run out of fear and uncertainty. May God help us when we realize what this may project for the future.

Joe Biden is an illegitimate president as the result of voter and election fraud. Believers mistakenly refer to him as president. Since the Constitution was not followed in this election, his presidency is invalid.

The supreme authority to which we are to submit is the Constitution, which delegates authority to three co-equal branches of government. Please do not conflate the authority of a king in a monarchy with the authority of the Constitution in our republic.

Church leaders have performed theological gymnastics to persuade many to accept this Ishmael as our president and ignore the promises spoken through the prophets.

Hold the line, saints. Discern. Understand through open source documents who is in charge of the military at this point and, as always, do not listen to the MSM narrative. We need all hands on deck in this spiritual battle. Some of you are packing your rapture luggage instead of polishing your armor.

This battle is the Lord’s, and He holds victory in store for the upright! Do not be terrified or discouraged. Resist the devil and he WILL flee from you, your community, and your nation.

We needed more troops present when BLM and ANTIFA were rioting (and still are in some places) in he streets. The politicians couldn’t have cared less about that, with the killing and destroying property of American citizens. Sheer hypocrisy!

Is this political step one in desensitizing Americans to a military presence on their streets? Are we on the verge of turning the US into a military junta in the name of “safety”, perceived or fabricated for the sake of accumulating power? Are we creating an hysterical fear that will leave Americans desperate for peace…at any cost?
Lord, I pray that you open the eyes of the blind to see how thoroughly deceit has taken hold. Give all of us courage to speak the truth and refuse to live by lies. You are the way, the truth and the life. Thank you for the freedom you’ve given through your grace to worship the only King to whom I will bend my knee.

Glenn Greenwood is speaking the truth. I know personally several Christians went there to pray and listen to President Trump. As he was speaking 1/2 mile away the angry people were let in by the DC police into the capital. Not all the police but a few did this!!! That is all it took! And also reported by facial Recognition that one at least was BLM movement member. Intercessors please see the truth, and pray. Believe in GOD that he in his own timing will take of this. Amen 🙏

What an unholy mess our country has become! I never thought I would live to see all this nonsense and inappropriateness happen in America. We are definitely in the end times. Dear Lord, You alone know the beginning from the end. I pray for normalcy to return to this country. I pray that in your great mercy, that you would reach our President and give him reason to follow You, and set a godly example by his behavior and actions. In Jesus’s name I pray this.

      Because they are under the influence of the evil one. Right is wrong, and wrong is right. Read your Bible. It talks about how things will be in the end times. We are there. We need to intercede for these misguided people in our government.

This thought came to me regarding the fear in DC that’s driving this perceived “need” for military protection. Authorities who have called in the troops, like Nancy Pelosi and the mayor, believe some great backlash would occur at the inauguration, and now at the impeachment trial. Couldthat be, in truth, a spiritual fear and dread of the Lord’s judgement? Could it be our prayers are impacting their consciences in that way? They of course don’t recognize their fear as being spiritual. Rather they attribute it to earthly causes because their spirits are not attuned to the Holy Power in the spiritual realms. Father God, thank you and praise you, sovereign LORD over all your creatures. Thank you for hearing our prayers. Keep us faithful in continuing to pray unceasingly for your will to prevail over our government and nation. Your Holy Fire of Judgement is indeed terrifying to those who have rejected you and who worship false gods of money and power. And those who have been given authority to govern are held to an even higher standard, so they are heaping even more judgement onto themselves as they abuse that authority. May their continuous fear of judgement drive them to surrender to You.

    Melissa, I agree. That has been my thoughts also, their fear is from their own guilt. I didn’t watch the inauguration but on other christian outlets they have played the 2 minute pause before Biden’s speech. There definitely is something spiritual in that pause..the camera focus on several people..the nodding of heads and then the crying of a baby in the silence. I think things were being weighed in the balance and God’s judgement is coming down on them. The election was stolen and I think they know it for a fact. We need to continue to pray and stand against the enemy. The battle is the Lord’s and in His time we will see the salvation and glory of our God. President Trump will be given his presidency back and when and how that happens everyone will know that it wasn’t from man but will know there is a God in heaven who hears..who cares and intervenes when His people cry out to Him! So don’t get weary but continue to persevere and we will see the glory of our God!

Army National Guard.
During peacetime each state National Guard answers to leadership in the 50 states, three territories and the District of Columbia. During national emergencies, however, the President reserves the right to mobilize the National Guard, putting them in federal duty status.
~~~~~
Since we don’t have a
National emergency the National Guard can be called back by the governors of the state they were sent from. Some states have already done this. Texas for example.
~~~
The prayers come as a matter of respecting these fine men and women living ing in unconscionable conditions inside our own borders.

FATHER GOD FORGIVE THOSE IN AUTHORITY OVER THIS SITUATION.
GOD BLESS ALL BRANCHES OF OUR
MILITARY SERVING OUR COUNTRY TO PROTECT US FROM ENEMIES
FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC.
IN JESUS NAME. AMEN.

    I believe two other states did the same thing as Texas. That very evening the soldiers were sent to a parking garage with only 1 bathroom. No food no internet service . Reported in the Epoch newspaper. Sounds like the politicians were really scared.

Heavenly Father we ask that you protect our troops. We are greatly concerned about their protection and treatment under this tyrannical Imposter in the White House.
We ask you Lord God to bring great conviction and fear of the Lord upon the evildoers that have overtaken our nation and are trying to turn it into a One World Government under the leadership of satan. We ask for divine favor in the upcoming trials.
Silence every lying deceitful tongue
Lord God so that the truth will be revealed. May the evil that they have plotted against this nation and against our beloved President Donald John Trump come back on their own heads sevenfold. Just as in the Old Testament when Haman plodded against the Jews he ended up being hung from his own gallows
We thank you God that you are a God of Justice.
Thank you for your promises especially the one that says the Gates of Hell will not Prevail over your church.
We wait on you Lord your timing it’s always perfect

    Jesus calls Holy Spirit, The Comforter. He also said, “I will send him unto you. 8And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.”
    Father, thank You for sending The Comforter. Thank You for the work He is doing. I love Him so much, Father. May He be infused to Your Whole Body in the earth as in heaven\o/ pour out upon the whole earth Holy Spirit\o/
