A state judge ruled on Wednesday that Texas can remove Planned Parenthood and its affiliates from its Medicaid program.
Texas had previously given Medicaid recipients using Planned Parenthood a Feb. 3 deadline to find new health care providers. Planned Parenthood challenged that in its recent lawsuit, which argued that the state didn’t follow the law when it issued a 30-day notice of termination to the organization. . . .
“This decision is not made lightly,” the ruling said, according to media outlets that have reviewed the ruling. “In the light of the ongoing public health crisis, the risks of the individual losing health care and medical attention requires increased attention and scrutiny. The facts underlying the termination, in this case, give me great pause.”
“However, Relators selected the federal courts as the forum to contest the merits of their claims, and they are now not able to revive their administrative remedies as the deadline to seek that relief has long since passed. The merits of their claims must be determined by the federal courts.”
The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals had ruled in 2020 that Texas and Louisiana could withhold taxpayer funds from Planned Parenthood clinics. . . .
“Undercover video plainly showed Planned Parenthood admitting to morally bankrupt and unlawful conduct, including violations of federal law by manipulating the timing and methods of abortions to obtain fetal tissue for their own research,” he said. . . .
The organization was previously the subject of a scandal after the nonprofit Center for Medical Progress (CMP) released covertly shot videos of their undercover investigation, which showed Planned Parenthood executives discussing the practice of providing body parts of aborted babies for research. The organizations have disputed the claims. . . .
The judge at the time agreed to grant a temporary restraining order that delayed the state from withholding funds from Planned Parenthood.
Dyana Limon-Mercado, the executive director of Planned Parenthood Texas Votes, responded to the ruling by accusing Texas Gov. Greg Abbott of failing to do what’s best for the people of Texas.
“The 8,000 Planned Parenthood patients who rely on Medicaid should be able to access care at the provider they know and trust. Planned Parenthood will do everything it can to protect and fight for its patients,” Limon-Mercado said in the statement. . . .

Lord, we pray every day that this evil that has brought a curse on our once great God-fearing nation would be removed in its entirety. We seek your forgiveness for the evil of abortion and pray that women around the world would be educated and convicted regarding taking the life of their own child. Please provide for them and open their hearts and minds to the evil of abortion, especially in the young women that have been indoctrinated by our public schools and universities. All glory to God! Planned Parenthood has a new revenue stream in providing sex hormones to confused and misguided young people. Killing babies is not enough for them. Now they are after the ones who were not aborted, destroying their minds and bodies with harmful and irreversible drugs.

I just find is outrageous that an organization dedicated to the killing of babies “Planned Parenthood.”. They should be called, “We’ll Kill Your Baby for a Fee and Charge it to the Government.”. That would look great on their advertising material!

I agree that Planned Parent hood should not be able to use any tax payer’s money for abortion nor should they use body parts for their research.
Texas should NOT use tax payer dollars in any form to fund abortions!!
The satanic GOD-hating organization that is ‘Planned Parenthood’ was started by Margaret Sanger who wrote often of eliminating the black race through their abortion mills. That is why the majority of ‘clinics’ are in minority neighborhoods. Their ‘profit center’ is threatened since the sale of baby body parts is such a lucrative business. There has been a curse on America since Jan. 1973 when Roe v Wade was passed. When abortion is determined unconstitutional based on the fact that life begins at conception, America will truly have a new birth of freedom… the curse will be lifted. Until then 70 million babies’ blood is on the nation’s hands.
Christians and our corporate intercession are the only reason America hasn’t yet fallen completely to tyranny. We truly are on the precipice… LORD HAVE MERCY! Continue to ‘trust & obey’…

Why should the taxpayers pay for baby murder? Why does our government give millions to planned parenthood? Planned parenthhod is a profit making orgainization. I have never undrstood why they get so much money from the government. I mean, if the government was giving moey to wal-mart, people would be furious. Planned parenthood is a money making business…period…cut off the funding…
To save the life of one unborn baby is a victory. I pray more states will seek to protect the unborn and pass laws to defund Planned Parenthood. This is and has been a Republican unfulfilled election promise that has been long ignored by those in office.
ADOPTION NOT ABORTION! States should build facilities to care for these “unwanted” babies until loving families can be found to adopt them. It would be a win-win situation.

Though I am happy, the fact still remains that judges think they rule us. But it is the word of God and the Constitution that set our parameters.
I agree with all here who call on you to end the killing of the innocents, the unborn children, who You God, formed in the womb and given the special talents and could well grow to become precious people with a closeness to Your heart and a voice to save others with Your Word. Help us to do what You want Lord and strengthen us to do them. You God deserve all the honor and glory. There is nothing you cannot doFather and when You send Your word it will not return to You without having accomplished that for which You sent it. You are our shield and buckler Father. There have been victories in South Carolina and Arkansas as well but we want total victory. Planned Parenthood, like Goliath, is the champion of much of the evil against the unborn. Remember for 40 days, Goliath heaped abuse on the army of God then David took a stand before him. David answered his curses with, “… I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies—the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied…This is the Lord’s battle, and he will give you to us!” And HE DID.
