I Prayed have prayed
Lord Jesus, the rainbow is Your creation, pointing directly to You. Empower us to stand against the LGBTQ error that essentially hijacks this symbol of Your everlasting covenant.
Reading Time: 6 minutes

Recently, I was picking out my clothes for the day, when I came across a beautiful rainbow-colored shirt that I used to wear all the time. I began to put it on, but then had doubts about what message it might send to anyone who saw me wearing it. I wondered: Will people think I’m a homosexual, or promoting the LGBTQ agenda? Immediately, I put the shirt away, but inside I felt a deep sadness. Since I was a little girl growing up the 1980s, I had always loved rainbows and rainbow-colored clothes or accessories. But in those days, I didn’t associate the rainbow with the LGBTQ movement. Even though a version of the gay pride flag had been designed in 1978, it wasn’t promoted in the public schools or as part of a nationwide agenda.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve known that God made the rainbow and that it belongs to Him alone. More specifically, it’s God’s covenant sign. Genesis 9:13 says: “I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.” In that verse, God calls it “my bow. Furthermore, Revelation 4:3 reveals that the rainbow encircles God’s holy throne: And he who sat there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian, and around the throne was a rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald.

Even though I knew all these things, I still put the shirt away. About an hour later, however, I received a text from a friend. To my surprise, it was a link to an important message from a Bible teacher I enjoy listening to. The link read: Taking the Rainbow Back — the Movement Has Begun. I knew the timing of the text couldn’t be a coincidence. Immediately, I began watching the video message from Messianic Rabbi Kirt Schneider.

Schneider began his message by saying: “Enough is enough. … There has not been a consolidated movement within the body of Christ to stand up and oppose unrighteousness as it relates to the LGBT agenda and the hijacking of the rainbow —  the sacred symbol of the rainbow that was put in the sky all the way back in the very beginning in the book of Genesis, declaring that God had made an everlasting covenant with humanity. But now God’s people are afraid to be associated with the rainbow.”

When I heard him say those words, I was confronted with the truth that I had not worn my rainbow shirt because I was afraid of what people would think. But in the video, Schneider declared: “Beloved, the rainbow belongs to God, and it belongs to God’s people.” Then he emphasized that the time has come to unify God’s people to stand up and resist the LGBT movement for the protection of our families, children and our nation. He stressed: “This is the most pressing social issue in the world today, certainly in the Western world.”

His words articulate great truth. In fact, the LGBTQ agenda has infiltrated every nook and cranny of daily life. In particular, it has shoved its way into the lives of innocent school children who are not supposed to be political or sexual pawns. In his video, Schneider reveals that the rainbow is a symbol of innocence, because “God cleansed the world of a flood — He cleansed the world of evil, and then He put the rainbow in the sky.” He alludes to the fact that we often see young children using colorful chalk to draw rainbows on sidewalks or driveways outside. This is a powerful reminder of the innocence that we must protect.

As the alphabet movement continues growing, it’s important that Christians cling to the word of God, which contains both letters and words that proclaim the truth among a vast sea of lies. In the midst of all this, Schneider presents Christians with a challenge: “Let’s not let the alphabet agenda and community steal what’s a symbol of God’s, that is meant for good and not for evil, because all it takes for evil to triumph is for good men and women to do nothing.”

Schneider has put a plan in place that will help the Body of Christ unite with one voice during the weekend of July 28–30, 2023. It’s called Taking the Rainbow Back. June is celebrated by the LGBT(QIA+) community as gay pride month. In response, the Taking the Rainbow Back movement will begin in the month of July, as Christians proclaim a public stance for the true meaning of the rainbow. In fact, the whole month of July will be designated as and declared Jesus Pride Month. T-shirts will be offered on takingtherainbowback.org showcasing scriptures, and these can be worn by those participating in the movement all through July, not just the weekend of July 28–30. “You might be afraid to wear that T-shirt alone,” he says, “but think about when there are hundreds of thousands of people in America, wearing the same T-shirt during the same month.”

The goals of the Taking the Rainbow Back movement are:

  • to give God’s people the courage to come together in unity to reclaim the rainbow for God’s glory;
  • to preserve our culture;
  • to protect our children.

The takingtherainbowback.org website lists action steps for those who want to participate:

  1. Pray
  2. Sign up to receive personal, real-time texts directly from Rabbi Schneider so he can encourage and update you on the movement.
  3. Purchase a T-shirt on takingtherainbowback.org and wear it during the month of July and during Take the Rainbow Back Weekend (July 28–30, 2023).
  4. Stay updated — there will be more videos coming, along with other specifics. Participants can sign up for strategic emails on the website.
  5. Share this movement with others (on social media, by email, or through whatever works for you).
  6. Watch the foundational video titled God’s Purpose for the Rainbow on takingtherainbowback.org).

The objectives of the movement (from the website):

  • to restore the meaning of the rainbow to its God-given purpose;
  • to take a stand for the glory of God on earth;
  • to neutralize the illegitimate use of the rainbow by the LGBTQ community;
  • to raise up a standard of righteousness on the earth;
  • to help those in the LGBTQ community by letting them know that healing is possible and that there is a way out;
  • to point humankind back to Jesus;
  • to oppose unrighteousness by raising a standard that will push back the powers of darkness and protect our children and the next generation;
  • to provide young people with the tools, instruction, and courage to stand up for what is right.

Schneider makes an important point when it comes to understanding why Christians might not always take a stand for the truth: “Sometimes, beloved one, in our human compassion for people, we side on the side of our emotions because of our human compassion for people — and in siding with the side of our emotions, rather than with God’s Word, we place ourselves in a position where we’re an enemy of God. See, the Bible says friendship with the world is hostility towards God. And because of our desire to love people and accept people and affirm people, many people that call themselves believers in Yeshua (Christians), side with the LGBT movement, and in siding with the LGBT movement, they’ve actually placed themselves in opposition to the full revelation of God’s Word on this subject, which taught from the very beginning that homosexuality is not God’s divine design.”

At this time, we cannot side with our emotions. We must stand on the truth. “If we back down on this, what’s the next thing we’re going to back down on?” says Schneider. He asks us to take heed of Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:13: “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.”

Schneider implores us to take courage. Even though the vocal minority often overwhelms the silent majority, we must be silent no longer. Let’s stand on the solid rock that is Messiah Jesus, and be vocal.

The rainbow is all about new beginnings, and that means it offers hope for all us, no matter what our circumstances are. It also provides hope for those who are caught up in the LGBTQ lifestyle. All of us must take hold of this hope and share it with others.

Like the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud on the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all around. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard the voice of one speaking (Ezekiel 1:28).

Let’s pray briefly now:

Lord Jesus, we know You created the rainbow and that it belongs to You. Grant us great courage and boldness so we can show others the true meaning of Your covenant sign that points to Your glory.

How can the Body of Christ point the LGBTQ community to Jesus? How are you praying about this?

We can reclaim the ordinal word “Rainbow” My argument is this . The word rainbow was first documented in biblical documents. Secondly the word rainbow represents 7 colors. The gay movement has only 6 colors therefore it is not appropriate that they are even allowed to use the biblical word “rainbow” as its descriptive word.
As for Harry Richard’s comment as to how and why the rainbow appeared after the first rain from clouds. ( there wasn’t always rain clouds, science will agree to that)
The rainbow has absolutely nothing to do with “we are all God’s children. READ the bible. It was given as a promise to never destroy the earth by water or flood again. It’s that simple.

True God creates all life. Ask your self this question. If you give birth to a child, and you love that child perfectly to the best of your ability. If the child grows ups and disrespects you and rebels against you and tells you that your house rules are wrong and that you are hateful and that you no longer make the rules in your own home or creation, and the child will change the rules to the child’s desires MY question to you Harry is ,,would you accept that child in your home or in your kingdom if you where the father or the King? Be honest with yourself. It’s obvious by your statement that you make the rules?? Right ?
By your comment I would bet you have not read or study the bible with any soul searching open mindedness. Or for that fact even for entertainment.

Linda, you have been given a message from the Holy Spirit. Let me confirm this to you as true. In the Lord’s Prayer it says Lord, give me this day my daily bread. So, I follow this , truly! I asked Him recently may I have my daily bread?
And, He said: absolutely! A rose (in the desert) has bloomed, a new species, a glorious rainbow of color and extremely fragrant, even hypnotic!

“My Rainbow” has been defiled by so many. I AM taking it back! This roses’ name is “Glory.” It is for “My name” and to man’s shame…that I strike back!

This is excellent. Thank you for sharing and informing us. I will be getting on the website to get my Rainbow Tee shirt and proudly wear it, especially in July.
I pray Holy Spirit that You will touch many hearts and cause them to be curious, to question, and then be open to You and Your Truth. You can give each of us the right words for the right people You bring across our paths! In Jesus’ Name!

I agree totally with every aspect of this article. My concern is this- how do we as Christians “take back the rainbow” by wearing a t-shirt? I have many’s homosexual family members and my prayer and effort is to keep the lines of communication”open” with them; I relaaye to them with love ( not acceptance). The “alphabet“ community has convinced by many in their ranks that Cristians HATE them.
I will foregoing the public display of my Bible based beliefs by not wearing a counter-homosexual t- shirt but rather engage them in meaning relationships and conversations about the Lord’s love for them ( not acceptance)

Did you know that the Far Left has not completely hijacked the rainbow?? The radicals’ rainbow has only 6 colors, which is the Biblical number for man. God’s rainbow has 7colors, which is the number for God and symbolizes completion of something willed by God. God’s rainbow is still special to all Christians !! Praise His Holy Name!!😃❤️🙏

Father God, we understand that the root of the alphabet soup mentality is demonic… I can’t help but ask, at least within myself, if the presence of a demon would cause a change in a person’s chemistry system.
It’s why I have been praying and decreeing for months for the demons of sexual perversions AND the demons of mental illnesses ARE BOUND ON EARTH AS THEY ARE BOUND IN HEAVEN, cast at Yeshua’s feet and the people ARE LOOSED from their grip, LOOSED INTO FREEDOM IN MIND, BODY AND SOUL.
Holy Father, In Yeshua’s Holy Name MAKE IT SO.

You say, “the LGBTQ agenda has infiltrated every nook and cranny of daily life.” I am wondering what this agenda is. My son is gay, and I have many friends who are gay or have gay children. None of them are a part of any organized LGBTQ organization, and they have no idea what the agenda is that people keep throwing into conversations with them. And I can find nothing anywhere about a “Gay Agenda” except from people who are vehemently against them. Could you please enlighten me as to what their agenda is. Thank you very much.

So Hilarious! I started doing that back in July of 2022 I worked at Target in Glendale, Colorado and they had a Target t-shirt that had a rainbow on it within the Target logo and a customer commented on how nice it was I told her I wear it to remind me of the promise God made never to flood the earth and boy you should have seen the look she gave me, like I had two heads! then she left without saying anything. I told my roommate I’ve had it with the things of God being hijacked by satan and his followers and lgbtq and it’s about time to set the record straight about somethings.

I’ve done the same. I won’t wear anything with rainbows on it anymore because they hijacked it. I was afraid of people thinking I was gay and didn’t want that. So I stopped wearing them for a long time now. It actually makes me mad that they took a symbol of God’s and turned it into a symbol of evil.
I’ll spread the word. It’d be great if a lot of people stood up came together on this.

I’m so grateful to see this article and all that is being done to help God’s children take back the rainbow! I come into full agreement with every word. The rainbow is God’s covenant symbol with His children and I want to be part of taking it back.

Praise God, this has been on my heart for some time. Concerned Women for America are also hanging the Christian Flag during Easter and Pride month. You can purchase from them on their website for a donation. I am sharing this all over. Let the little children come to me, say’s Jesus. We are fighting for our precious children, a gift from God.

I did the same thing with a pair of rainbow tennis shoes I bought about a month before the big rainbow revolution push. I put them away, and just recently started wearing them again. We do need to be vocal. I think the thing that keeps me from being open and vocal is the violence that the liberals and LGBTQ….. folks display when their beliefs are challenged, or others disagree. I live in a small rural conservative community in south Mississippi. There are factions of homosexuals, witches, and the like, but at least we know our children’s teachers and what our children are being taught!
Lord, I pray for YOUR rainbow revolution to be successful this July, and not have violence from the homosexual community and their supporters. Gear up the Christians with the full armor of God, and send your warring angels to surround us as we fight for our symbols of your promises. Thank you for hearing us, Lord. Give us courage, boldness, and strength to fight this fight for you!
Amen!

Rabbi Schneider has a very close walk with the Lord. I have all his books and consider him a great teacher, and enjoy his t.v. broadcast, “Discovering the Jewish Jesus.” Taking back the rainbow from the anti-God alphabet mafia is a very courageous move. Healing is available to every gay person through our Lord Jesus Christ and speaking truth to them is indeed hope.

I really resonate with all you said because I too have felt sadness that such a beautiful, God created and given symbol, the rainbow, has been hijacked, stolen, and is being used by people who live in opposition to God, to promote their lifestyle and choices over God’s perfect plan for human life and flourishing. (“I have come that they might have life and have it to the full.”) How ironic, people against God are using one of His gifts/symbols as their own? But satan cannot create anything new – he can only counterfeit or steal what God has already made.

We must teach our children the story of the rainbow from the Bible because if they don’t know the Truth, they will believe the lie. But as you say, children are fascinated with and draw rainbows from an early age. This provides us the perfect opportunity to tell them the rainbow story as we draw chalk rainbows alongside them on the sidewalk. The rainbow is the story of Noah and the flood, of God’s mercy for sinful humankind, of His promise never again to destroy the earth – the rainbow is God’s symbol of hope in a stormy world – after a storm – the rainbow appears reminding all who see it that God is faithful to His covenant promise to us. The rainbow should be a constant visual reminder to all who see it of God’s sovereignty, majesty, watchcare over us and again the hope that beauty and better times await us.

Satan definitely doesn’t want the rainbow to point people to God – so he is attempting to rebrand the rainbow for a human cause – to use it to point people to sin and to glorify a sinful lifestyle instead of Creator God. This has made me afraid, as you said, to wear the rainbow, for fear of mistakenly promoting sin instead of God’s goodness and mercy. But now I am thinking that wearing the rainbow could provide opportunities for conversation. False assumptions could be made but it might start conversations and then I would have opportunity to “be ready to provide an answer for the hope that is within you” – and to tell the real story of the rainbow, which is a story of God’s redemptive love for each of us. Maybe we take the rainbow back, one interaction at a time, one opportunity at a time to share the true story of the rainbow’s creation and what it means. And by teaching our children the true story of the rainbow, we will be raising a generation who will know the truth of the rainbow and what it represents, so just maybe they won’t believe the lie. Ironic, those rebelling against God are choosing God’s symbol of His great mercy, love and forbearance towards us as the very symbol of their cause. Lord, thank You that You are keeping Your covenant of love and mercy towards us to all generations. Thank You for such a beautiful reminder of Your eternal presence that You give us every time You provide a rainbow in the sky for us to see. http://www.mtothe5th.wordpress.com

The Lord gave me a song when I was a pre teen: about the rain bow. Which thru the years I would sing to my children: there’s a rainbow, there’s a rainbow, there’s a rainbow in the sky: there’s a rainbow, there’s a rainbow, there’s a rainbow just for you and I: GOD made a pact of peace, just for you and I : there’s a rainbow, there’s a rainbow, just for you and I. ( So take back our covenant the rainbow:)

Thank you, Angela-I had a similar sadness the other day about the rainbow and thinking how back in the 1980’s it was a very innocent symbol and sad for all the current loss of innocence it seems is everywhere and being affirmed. Father God, You are good! We cry out to You to save us from these evil times. Blow your sweet spirit over us and help us to repent so we can receive Your mercy, grace and forgiveness. We love You, Father. In Jesus name I pray
