The Night of Power, June 1, 2019, is the night during Ramadan when Muslims call upon spirits and open themselves up to spirits–expecting that Allah will speak to them and absolve them of all past and future sins.  This night, as told by Kamal Saleem, a former Muslim jihadist, is a dangerous night, where the enemy has invited power to influence and speak to Muslims, resulting in more strongholds and demonic engagement. As they seek to hear from spirits, we pray instead, they would hear from Jesus.

In the Muslim tradition, this is Al-Qadr, the Night of Power, when Allah is said to have sent down the Quran. If a Muslim encounters the light of Allah during the Night of Power, they believe that all iniquities and sins will be forgiven for their whole life. During the last 10 nights of Ramadan, Muslims are expecting to receive from Allah. We pray that they would instead, hear from Jesus.

Ramadan is the 9^th month of the Islamic calendar, Hijri. Muslims are required to fast from sunrise to sunset during a period of about 30 days.

The importance of Ramadan was first revealed in the Koran. It is the fourth pillar of Islam, which consists of five pillars in total, the foundations of the Islamic faith. The month of Ramadan is when Muslims are most active in their faith, fasting, frequently praying and reading the Koran.

This Ramadan season, we ask that Christians everywhere pray that as Muslims around the world seek an encounter from Allah and the forgiveness of their sins, that they instead have an encounter with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

(Kamal Saleem was born to a large Sunni Muslim family in the heart of the Middle East.  Recruited by the Muslim Brotherhood at an early age, he completed his first mission to Israel at the age of seven. He pursued Jihad all over the world, including America.

But Christ pursued him. Kamal was seriously injured in an auto accident in 1985. Christian men ministered to him at the scene and continued to nurture his spiritual and emotional health after the accident.
