I Prayed have prayed
Father help us meet the dangers of today with a mix of discernment, preparedness, faith, hope, and confidence in You!
Reading Time: 2 minutes

Many of you watched the Pray With America’s Leaders webcast on the Electric Grid. It was surprising to hear the many and varied threats to the grid, and what little is being done to harden it. Our title of the webcast “30 Hours is all we have if the grid goes down” was taken from a conversation with an expert who described how quickly our nation would come to a halt if electricity was not available.  We share these things not for fear, but for prayer and action! We have the power through Christ to affect our nation with our intercession and the intercessory activism we all need to be engaged in. (You can watch that original interview here.)

We received many emails and calls from intercessors wanting to know what they can do about a grid-down situation. We reached out to an expert on the grid and preparedness, Jonathan Hollerman, who along with Center for Security Policy’s Tommy Waller, shared about the biblical perspective on preparedness. We want to underscore that we at IFA believe that even though we may experience difficult times in our nation, we believe that God still has plans and purposes for our nation–He is calling us to pray for America for a reason! Here is the follow up interview:

Verses shared about preparedness:

Those who work their land will have abundant food but those who chase fantasies will have their fill of poverty. (Proverbs 28:19)

The wise store up choice food and olive oil, but fools gulp theirs down.  (Proverbs 21:20)

And during these days prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.  “And one of them named Agabus stood up and prophesied through the Holy Spirit that a great and severe famine would come upon the whole world. And this did occur during the reign of Claudius. “So the disciples resolved to send relief, each according to his individual ability [in proportion as he had prospered], to the brethren who lived in Judea.  “And so they did, sending [their contributions] to the elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul. (Acts 11: 27-30 Amp)

Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. (Proverbs 6:6-9 KJV)

A wise man thinks ahead; a fool doesn’t, and even brags about it! (Proverbs 13:16)

The prudent sees the evil and hides himself, but the naive go on, and are punished for it. (Proverbs 22:3)

More information about the grid can be found in this documentary that both Texas State Senator Bob Hall and Tommy Waller mentioned in their segment on IFA’s webcast: Grid Down, Power Up | The Documentary (griddownpowerup.com)

I am thankful to the Most High for allowing me to find this prayer group as I had a concern should Christians prepare for what could possibly happen to our grid. I will prep inasmuch as possible and always keep in mind that I am blessed to be a blessing. I know that we should pray for our government and all the officials. We should not expect the government to take care of all our needs. We must trust the Father.

We should have enough to help others also around us if needed. It’s not just about us. We should prepare but not be in fear. do what you can and God will help you and lead you by his spirit. Yes there will be hard times but God will be with us.

I have some food stored but I’m sure not enough. I live in an apartment and I am a widow. I have two daughter each one lives in a different state. What kind of foods do to you get when there is no power? I also have food sensitivities and intolerances. I have LED lights, batteries and some water. Minimal storage place.

We as Christians must remain proactive where community preparedness is concerned, as the Bibkeholds the instructions for us to follow, and help others prepare!

Eye opening indeed and a bit overwhelming. I am wondering why our government is not working on producing our own infrastructure components needed for our power grid instead of relying on other countries? It seems like a no brainer to be doing so and getting started immediately!

It is obvious that we have a very real problem here in America. Our grid is very fragile, and it is in need of protection. Lord Jesus, please, make a way for our grid to be protected. This is a do-able thing, and we need You to make a way for this to make this happen .InJesus’ name.

Dear Lord God, please place warring angels around the power grid so that no one or nothing can take it down. P!ease protect America and Americans from a disaster as this from happening. I also pray that all Americans will be safe. May the citizens of this country open their hearts to Christ for a spiritual revival. In Jesus’Holy Name. Amen.🙏☦️

Is it possible for a person to be called by God to a ministry of an intercessor?
In Christ,

Of course William !! We may not all have the gift of exhortation, public address, or eloquent speech- as I myself- but we can engage in spiritual warfare , which is intercession.. Intercessors often participate in many of th gifts of the spirit , but it is most often in private . God definitely needs and calls us to this ministry. In these days of rampant demonic acceleration , intercessors as spiritual warriors are crucial to overcoming th giants in our land !!!
