“He actually said, ‘I want to say my last words. We’re not going to survive it.’ Nobody survived it. Everybody is killed,” said Doris Liber, whose son was kidnapped by Hamas militants at a music festival in southern Israel where more than 250 people were killed.

As her son, Guy Iluz, was hiding, Liber said her husband encouraged him to hide under dead bodies so the terrorists would not notice him. She said he told her he had been shot in the arm. …

It has been 30 days since Hamas militants infiltrated Israel’s borders on Oct. 7 and slaughtered roughly 1,400 Israelis – mostly civilians.

“It’s been 30 days. Every day is like eternity to me. … We don’t have a list of the hostages. We don’t know their condition,” Liber said.

“I’m so proud of being an American, being an Israeli as well. But I do need you now, because there’s nothing helping me now. I pray, which I didn’t do before. But just please help me.” …

As I was praying for the hostages this morning, I was led to what God said:
“If my people would but listen to me, if Israel would follow my ways, how quickly would I subdue their enemies and turn my hand against their foes. Those who hate the Lord would cringe before him, and their punishment would would last forever.” Psalm 81:13-15.
It will not be by the strength of their army but by the power of God that Israel prevails in this war with evil. Hamas is evil; Lord may your justice be done.

God our Father, Almighty El Shaddai, we worship You. We acknowledge that You alone are Holy and worthy of our praise. Let everything that has breath praise You our Lord. It is written in Your word through Isaiah the prophet about Jesus Christ, the Messiah and our Savior; “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed. To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” We call to You Father in the name of Jesus to do just this in this situation and release the captives, save the poor and lost, heal broken hearts and reveal Yourself as the Savior of the world. May Jesu be lifted up and draw all mankind unto Him. Send forth Your word and Your Spirit in power to deliver, save, and heal both spiritually and in the physical lives of those in Israel. May Your peace come to Jerusalem and may all of Your enemies be scattered. We bless Your Holy name now and forever and thank You for Your faithfulness and keeping covenant with Your people even when we have strayed from the truth. Be magnified and praised through these dark trials as You bring hope, deliverance and salvation. In Jesu mighty name. Amen

“My whole being will exclaim, “Who is like you, Lord? You rescue the poor from those too strong for them, the poor and needy from those who rob them.””
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭35‬:‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬
Lord God, we cry out to you for the hostages and ask you not to forget them in their distress. The Hamas terrorists are too strong for them, they are kept in captivity in who knows what condition. You said of your people “The Lord will fight for you, you need only to be still.” Ex. 14:14. Father, we, the believing Church, stand before you now and ask you to command your armies to come to their rescue and free every one of them, heal their physical wounds and emotional trauma, and restore them to their families. We pray that each one, from the babies to the elderly, have been able to survive this ordeal. We pray that someone has been allowed to care for the babies with feedings and diaper changes and holding them. We command the “Prince of Persia” to be removed, his minions to be befuddled and inept, and cast into the abyss by the authority of Jesus. We pray the IDF will be led by your angelic armies, given critical intelligence by the Holy Spirit, and will be strong and courageous until the mission is complete. We pray Israeli leadership will remain unified in their goal and US leadership will have the courage to continue backing them. We ask that you do all these things for Your glory and that Your Name will be lifted in all the earth.
