Lord, awaken Your church to a renewed focus on the fear of the Lord. We ask that the fear of the Lord would overtake any fear of circumstances. Open our eyes where we are not seeing clearly.

The Republican Party’s leaders still don’t get it.

That’s the big takeaway from a newly-released strategy document from the largest Super PAC backing Republican House candidates.

The Congressional Leadership Fund spent $140 million in the 2020 cycle, and could very well spend even more in 2022.  . . .

Republicans substantially outperformed expectations in 2020’s House elections. While more forecasters predicted Democrats would gain a dozen seats or more, they instead lost 13 and emerged with one of the narrowest House majorities ever. . . .

President Trump drove a dramatic surge in Republican turnout, but it was more than that. Millions of voters saw Democrats push an agenda of mass rioting and cultural arson and were understandably repulsed. Many voted for Republican House members even when they didn’t vote for Trump himself.

But according to CLF head Dan Conston in a newly-released memo, the victory came down to one thing: Putting a new, more “diverse” gloss on the tired pre-2016 Republican Party.

In 2020, all 15 of the seats Republicans flipped were won by a woman, a minority, or a veteran. They were candidates of character, heroism, and achievement. That’s not by accident. Leader McCarthy made it a priority from the outset to find strong candidates with compelling life stories that reflect their districts. [CLF]

In other words, the secret to GOP success going forward is to completely buy into the globalist left’s toxic ideology reducing people to identity checklists. And of course, when making that checklist, being a woman is better than being a man, and being “of color” is superior to being white. . . .

It submits entirely to the left’s moral framing, which is both wrong and something the left will always be better at. And, of course, routinely results in the election and promotion of subpar candidates. Consider Congressman Dan Crenshaw. Crenshaw supports foreign policy interventionism (including the quixotic, objectiveless mission in Syria) and “red flag” laws to roll back gun rights. Crenshaw called Donald Trump’s immigration positions racist until he became the president, and in 2020 he joined in the mob calling George Floyd’s fentanyl overdose a murder requiring nationwide police reform.  . . .

t’s the strategy that causes Republicans to win Congressional majorities, then pass nothing of substance except tax cuts before being crushed by Democrats two years later.

The way forward for the Republican Party is to nominate good candidates, regardless of background, who understand and back President Trump’s fundamental realignment of the American political order.

Along with recruiting diversity-checklist candidates, CLF names only one ideological priority on its list of bullet points for winning in 2022:

We will win back the Majority if we’re clear-eyed about the obstacles in front of us, apply the lessons learned from 2020 and follow our plan to victory. It starts with these early keys:
• Continuing the recruitment success of 2020
• Fixing the GOP’s massive candidate-side fundraising problem
• Aggressively spotlighting the left’s socialist overreach & painting a contrast
• Heeding the opportunities and challenges in redistricting
• 50 opportunities to win 5 districts – maximizing our battlefield to retake the majority

Socialism? The House GOP’s go-to attack for the Democrats in 2022 is socialism?

The Democratic agenda of 2021 is so radical and unprecedented in American history that labeling it socialist is a preposterous farce. . . .

They aren’t even making a bid for single-payer healthcare. Instead, they are launching a Maoist-style revolution to overthrow America’s history and its entire social order, so that it can be replaced with a new anarcho-tyrannical racial caste system. It goes far beyond the idiotic fodder on Fox News about canceling Dr. Seuss or renaming Mr. Potato Head. It’s an all-consuming vision that will loot and burn entire cities and call it “justice,” then charge a young man with murder for defending himself. It gives amnesty to 20 million+ illegal immigrants and lets in countless H-1B workers to suppress wages, while telling Americans that their country is a racist abomination devoid of any history to be proud of. It teaches Americans to fear Russian boogeymen while erecting an unprecedented Big Tech panopticon to control their lives and punish dissenters with ritual public humiliation.

The way to oppose this demented ideology is to name it for exactly what it is and offer a durable, transformative alternative vision of government that doesn’t simply accept every substantive premise the Regime’s corrupt ruling class operates on. Responding to Democratic “overreach” merely results in weak half-victories, and an inactive Congressional majority terrified of its own power. A real alternative to the Democratic Party must be something more.

The Congressional Leadership Fund’s strategy isn’t a plan to win meaningful long-term victories for the tens of millions of Republican voters who are actively hated by America’s ruling class. Instead, it’s a plan to get GOP nominal control of government and boost the salaries commanded by Republican lobbyists. . . .

I agree with bits and pieces but it’s missing the major issue-too many of the Grand Ole Party are members of the Swamp. They don’t want their Apple cart turned over. Their selections to support for elections is based on their needs-not ours. If they talk the talk they forget once votes are counted. The Democratic Party was changing 20 years ago but they made no mention of it. The Southern Democrats were synonymous with racism – I know I lived there! Now you have the party labeling the Republicans–Republicans fight back-history is on your side. Who are you afraid of? Informing people what socialism is all about is a good place to be begin but make if relevant. Millennial need to know for themselves but they also need to know how it will impact their parents and grandparents-they have no clue. Yes, you need good candidates but your commercials need to take on an “educational component” to combat the propaganda being served by the Progressives/Dems and supported by the Media.

I will have to digest and think about this article for awhile. I’m not 100% sure I agree with some of it but perhaps with more review, I may. I do know this – if the GOP wants long term success and real effective impact, they need to quit playing buddy buddy with the leftist Dem party (in anyway, shape or form) because the old Dem party is completely dead. Sharing the same bed with them periodically isn’t going to resurrect the old Dem party. The new Dem party is run by bloodthirsty greedy godless radicals who have no concern for America or the citizens. Forget the moderates – they really don’t exist. And even when they try to speak up or stand alone, they get steamrolled by their own. If the GOP wants to really serve the people of this nation, then new blood will be needed – the kind of people that are respectfully fearful of God, honor our Constitution, have a deep desire for law / order and have the integrity to serve the people of this nation. The GOP will need to find people of unwavering courage. And they need to get rid of the compromised and entrenched “wafflers” that have damaged the party for far too long.
