A Georgia lawmaker is drafting a bill that would punish doctors with felony charges for helping a minor change sex using surgical procedures or hormones.
State Rep. Ginny Ehrhart, Powder Springs Republican, said her bill would protect children from having irreversible medical procedures done at age when they are uncontroversially categorized as too young to give real consent.
Thank God for lawmakers suggesting common sense legislation.
Pray about the transgendering of America’s children.
“We’re talking about children that can’t get a tattoo or smoke a cigar or a cigarette in the state of Georgia, but can be castrated and get sterilized,” she told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Georgia currently requires a parent to consent to a minor’s surgery or prescribed medication. Ms. Ehrhart said certain details remained uncertain as she is still drafting a bill, but she said it might also prevent parents from consenting to gender-transition procedures.
“There may be some implication for the responsibility of the parent to subject the child to this sort of dangerous medical intervention,” she said.
The bill would not bar doctors from working with transgender adults.
Citing a press release from Ms. Ehrhart, the Journal-Constitution reported that the bill would ban “mastectomy, vasectomy, castration and other forms of genital mutilization” for the purpose of changing sexes as well as prescribing “puberty-blocking drugs to stop or delay normal puberty and cross-sex hormone therapy.”
“The removal of otherwise healthy or non-diseased body parts from minor children would also be prohibited,” the press release said.
Jeff Graham, executive director of Georgia Equality, told the AJC that Ms. Ehrhart’s bill is “shameful” and part of a “dangerous trend from the most conservative forces to demonize and strip transgender individuals of their humanity.”

Parent(s) who are in favor of transgender surgery for their child should be required to undergo psychiatric evaluation because obviously they are not of sound mind. It is sheer madness to put a precious little child through this horrendous ordeal. Most parents worry if their little one has to have their tonsils or appendix removed–no normal parent wants their child to suffer pain even when it is necessary to save their lives! Begin with the parent–Let them go through some of the ordeal personally that they are willing for their child-to endure-likely a hang nail would be too much for them to handle!
You can’t strip a human of their humanity, it is indeed a doctrine of demons, therefore demonic.
As Christians, we are to pray for our enemies.

Father in Heaven,
We look to you in this time of deep distress in our nation. A time when it seems that sanity has gone and every imaginable backwards and upside down belief has been set loose in our nation. But you always have a remnant who stands for truth. Thank you for the lawmakers who see the need to protect our nations children from this insanity. We stand in need of your help in this battle. I pray that the church would rise up in a spirit of prayer and unity in the truth of your word to defend those who are trying to protect the children. I pray that we would recognize that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual wickedness in high places. Help us to be participants in the tearing down of strongholds. Help us to take advanced against the gates of hell and refuse to give ground to the enemy regarding these issues. Father, we ask the blind eyes would be opened before it is too late. Help those who claim your name to truly set Christ apart as Lord and to live out what it means to recognize your lordship in this day. We bow to you and proclaim that You are worthy of our trust, loyalty,love and obedience. So as we see these issues come forward and as we see people taking a stand help us to stand with them and do all in our power to stem the tide of evil that continues to rise. Help us to be loving, joyful and faithful to your word so that we give the enemy of lour souls no ground. Lord Jesus we declare our need of you and our trust that you are our defender and the solid rock on which we stand.
