I Prayed have prayed
Lord, thank You for changes that Facebook has made to accommodate Believers. Give us discernment to know how and when to use the tools offered, and to use this platform for Your glory. Amen.

If you’ve ever felt constrained by Facebook’s “like” button and its limited range of options for spiritual matters, there’s good news: The social media platform is adding a “prayer” button.

So far, the feature is available only in Facebook Groups that employ it, although churches and faith-based organizations across the country already are using it.

The new feature allows users to click on an “I prayed” button, in addition to the traditional buttons.

Robert Jeffress, pastor of First Baptist Church in Dallas, has endorsed the idea…

“We need to join our voices and hands in prayer. We need to stand shoulder to shoulder with each other and walk through great moments and challenges together,” Stec told AP.

Stec also encouraged the faith community to use the tool wisely…

This is not the first time that I disagree with Pastor Jeffress, lately. I would never trust anything Zuckerberg did! He could care less about Christians or praying! Makes you WONDER what this is REALLY all about! I will never have Facebook! I will never trust Facebook! How can ANY BELIEVER fall for this??

I absolutely don’t trust FB at this point. Until Zucky comes clean, gives his life to Christ, turns the company into a faith friendly company, etc. Hate to rain on Pastor Jeffrees parade but for all we know, it’s nothing more than a tracking tool that has the potential to be used in some corrupt manner against people of faith. Facebook is “Fraud book” and until they start treating everyone equally and especially those with faith – I refuse to use their site which is how they make $$ off of people.

I say, concerning the Prayer App, that you tread lightly my friends. Big Tech is NOT a friendly forum for Christians. They already shut down Christian viewpoints on political matters! Why would you trust them with your prayers? They mock Christians! I strongly, strongly, suggest that you avoid the social media. Look what it’s doing to your fellow Christian
Republicans- they shut them down! They are the Cancel Culture Police! So what do you think is behind them offering a Prayer App? Answer: They want to police you! They want access to you! Please stay away from this app. You don’t need it! God can hear your prayers and He doesn’t need Big Tech’s help!

I am cautious of anything coming from these platforms that have done much to silence voices contrary to the mainstream in the past. This seems like quite the about face. I know that no one is too far from God and He works is ways that we cannot understand…

Praying for wisdom and discernment. Praying that God works in Zuckerberg’s life and that He comes to accept Jesus as Savior…
