I Prayed have prayed
Reading Time: 4 minutes

For those of you who have been wrestling with some issues for a long time, wondering when relief will come . . .

The enemy is using your painful circumstances and your waiting for a breakthrough to KEEP YOU ON HOLD.  As you have called heaven for divine intervention, the enemy would like nothing better than to keep you waiting on the line and distracting you from those things that you are called to do in the midst of the wait. Your heart is being tied up with unanswered questions and unresolved issues and you have thought that by simply waiting and hoping, something will shift. The enemy has PUT YOU ON HOLD and is trying to keep you on the line of indecision and inactivity. Be aware! The enemy is using the WAIT as BAIT.

Many are facing challenging situations and painful issues that seem to be taking a long time to get resolved, thus keeping you in a holding pattern, emotionally and spiritually. In many cases, there’s nothing left to do; you have done all you can and now you are simply hoping for the breakthrough. But, in the midst of this inner unrest, not only is the enemy trying to rob your family and loved ones of breakthrough, but also he is trying to immobilize YOU. Knowing how the unresolved issues bind up your heart and spirit, his goal is to keep you on hold for as long as possible to deactivate your faith. Don’t let him! Take him by surprise and determine to follow through on those God-assignments you’ve been holding off on. Don’t wait for that supposed “better time” that you think will make everything easier. Don’t wait until “things settle down” because that time will never come. The enemy’s purpose is to continually stir things up in your life to keep you distracted and trapped up in the valley of the unknown. You do not have to feel helpless or without choice. You CAN do something.

I have written recently about those who are in the wilderness of waiting and the joy that comes to those who come out on the other side. However, even in the wait, you can take action. You are NOT helpless and you DO have a choice. You can put your faith in action and determine to press forward as a dread champion, or one to be feared (Jer 20:11). THIS is what the enemy fears! He has been hoping that your preoccupation with your personal pain, your loved ones, and your constant focus on the problems will keep you on hold spiritually. The best thing some of you can do right now as you are waiting for breakthrough is to TAKE ACTION. More specifically, take action in the very area where you are waiting for breakthrough.

For parents who are praying for sons and daughters who are wandering or spiritually lost, you may feel helpless to do anything for your own child, but you can help someone else’s. Speak into another son’s life or encourage another daughter. Mentor the sons and daughters right in front of you, wanting your help. As you encourage them and give out of your own need, you will be sowing something powerful in the spirit to turn the tide for all wandering prodigals.

For those waiting for physical healing and breakthroughs in your health, determine to pray for others who are sick. Your spiritual authority in prayer is not determined by your own physical condition, but by your faith in God. Your breakthrough may actually come as you pray for others and demonstrate the power of faith in action. Defeat the devil at his own game and see God work miracles for others through your prayers, even as you wait for your own.

For those waiting for financial breakthrough and holding off on plans for your future due to lack, start giving of time and talents to help others succeed. Instead of worrying about where your own provision will come from, become a vessel of service to others and watch what the Lord does through your sacrifice of giving. Your concern for others and willingness to give what you have is a powerful weapon in the spirit to break spirits of poverty and lack.

For those waiting on a God-dream to be realized, choose to bless others who are reaching their goals and finding success. In the midst of your own discouragement and doubt, celebrate and champion those who are gaining favor and access to their future. As you express your joy in seeing others succeed, your trust in God will become supernaturally charged and your own faith will come alive on another level.

In whatever area you are facing that seems to be putting your life on hold, your biggest weapon for breakthrough is to TAKE ACTION. Pray, yes; but even as you wait for the answer you long for, don’t let the devil immobilize you and keep you from following through in other areas.

The reason for this divine strategy is to help us realize that we are in this fight together. We are not alone. There are certain supernatural realities that can only be realized when we do them together. As each of us determines to shift our focus from our own pain and lack in order to help one another, something powerful happens in the spirit. When we begin to function like a spiritual family where each one helps the other, something shifts in the spirit and we begin to pull on heaven for miraculous results.

So, fight with faith for the winner’s prize! Lay your hands upon eternal life, for this is your calling—celebrating in faith before the multitude of witnesses! (1 Timothy 6:12 TPT)

Our faith in God is not just individual, but corporate. MANY are facing similar challenges in this hour. There’s a reason! We are in the midst of a CORPORATE BREAKTHROUGH that is going to unleash a moving of God’s spirit like never before. The enemy greatly fears this and is trying to put us all on hold so that we can’t reach our full potential. Thank God, we don’t have to bite that apple. We don’t have to listen to the whispers of “just hold on” when we can do something better. We can choose to trust God with our own situation and exercise our faith on behalf of one another.

As you have been on heaven’s hotline, waiting for an answer, now is the time to put down your receiver and stop listening to the elevator music. Get out there and take action. Determine to be a change agent in the very area you feel robbed in. Not only will the devil be caught off guard; he will probably panic and leave his post by your unresolved issue, allowing heaven to sweep in and bring you your breakthrough – all without any help from you.

Now imagine that.

Is THIS ever TRUE. I’ve NEVER had such a time of gut-wrenchingly painful, deep grieving as these last 3 months when 3 grandkids were suddenly ripped from our world after 9 years of living with & by us. It’s like an emotional hit & run, leaving us with tears of disbelief, feeling betrayed and pure sorrow. Weeks of prayer by hundreds of people and personal fasting yield NOTHING. I said THIS is Satan trying to stop me from praying for Israel, America & co-workers. I’ve resolved to do it anyway even though I feel like we’re dragging shattered hearts over stutter bumps even in our sleep. It is really hard to do battle so bogged down, but we keep persevering, every loathsome step of the way.

So, so good and so true. I received so much healing after the lost of my husband by walking alongside those would also had lost a love one. I look back at my healing and it was because I stood alongside other and walk with them thru their pain and believe He (Jesus) came to heal the broken hearted is so true. God is faithful.

True Dat!!! What a timely word, truly as a red apple displayed on a golden platter! I have been in a long battle for the soul of my daughter. I awakened yesterday morning feeling like an elephant was sitting on my chest with the cares and concerns for her. Then the thoughts started coming that I should definitely not be a part of any prayer ministry because I apparently can not pray prayers that get results. I commented in my small group about how to war against the devil with the Word of God. That same night when I got home my daughter was very drunk. The battle started…yea, you are telling others about waring with the Word of God…everyone at the table are better off than you, etc. I started to thinking that maybe I should just sit down and shut up as far as speaking on God’s behalf. However, thank God for His Holy Spirit who reminded me to do what I had said to the small group, “war with the Word of God.” I did, and He comforted me. Now I read your article…and He had comforted and encouraged me even the more. Thank you so very much. I will not sit down or shut up but I will press in the more and reach out to others who are praying for prodigals.

Amen, Gay! “Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” (James 1:4 NIV)

Very encouraging! We’ve been in limbo for awhile, trying to sell our house. We’ve done a lot of upgrades, live in the country & only about 10 miles from town. We’ve been told that it really looks great. So now, i’m asking God what action we can take to help others & not worry about a sale. All in God’s hands!

Your articles speak to the heart of me. Just this week I read the one about magnifying the Lord instead of the problems. I know that, but I definitely needed that reminder. And this article totally describes where I’ve been for too long. Waiting for several breakthroughs and feeling incapable of being who he’s called me to be until things change. Just yesterday I thought to myself, I miss you Lord, and I miss me too. I’ve lost myself in the process of waiting for the answers to come. God bless you Wanda and may he bring your breakthrough soon, as you have encouraged many like myself to change perspective of our own situations. I AM NO LONGER ON HOLD!!!

Powerful statement, Susan – “I’ve lost myself in the process of waiting…” May we all remember to keep our gaze on His and hold fast to the future hope He has assured us!

I had posted a testimony on your waiting in the wilderness post. God definitely used that for my good . When the impact happened , He spoke to me that this will bring me home to do what He has called me to do . Even though it was tragic , pain suffering , He was working out other details in my life that stopped me from doing what I needed to do . In the midst of the waiting , He was fighting my battles and drowning out my enemies. When I hit the tree and it fixed my neck , I heard the word reverse ! God had reversed the effect of the impact because He knows my heart , that I don’t want to fall short of the steps He has chosen for me .
He has given me a vision and now He is ready to perform it ! I’ve been in the wilderness for years , but it doesn’t matter . I have learned to rest in His trust!

I love the way you speak into our lives to tell us to go foward to minister where we might have a stronghold in our own life. I have recently seen how doing this has increased my own faith to believe for the return of my own prodigal son. We have power to break down the bone like resistance in those who reject Jesus by the power and authority Jesus has given us. I also see how I might not be the one to go on a mission trip now but I can support someone else who is sent now and the Lord has put it on my heart to do that which gives me faith that my opening will come also. It is exciting to see God moving in our lives and to resist the negative words of those around us who the enemy uses to try to discourage us.

Thank you for the encouraging words this morning. God has put it in my heart to journal my walk with Him. I felt numb inside of me and Jesus is holding me so close to Him right now and I can feel His presence inwardly and outwardly. I can feel His love healing more broken places in my life where I have felt sidelined with distraction and fear.

Karrlee, I’ve been a life-long journal keeper. Recording God’s promises – and then going back to review them – has been a great source of encouragement throughout my journey. Keep it up!

Thank you for this timely share! I’m encouraged and this confirms a feeling of discouragement and of being on hold that I just asked others to pray for my direction that I thought I was suppose to go in with God, last night in my small group!

I’m in a small group at my church for our prodigals and there has been a shift for all participants as we pray for each others prodigal…and in our corporate time, we are encouraged by the way God is speaking to help us know we can make a difference. I also believe in telling the devil and his demonic emissaries to leave and not hinder us or others by the blood of Christ Jesus and His authority given to me… (Mark 1:13 And He went up on the mountain and called to Him those He Himself wanted. And they came to Him. 14 Then He appointed twelve, [d]that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach, 15 and to have [e]power [f]to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons)

I also love how we can take action in faith to defeat the enemies attempt to keep us from our purpose, mission, living our life fully in Christ Jesus. It is a daily surrender to God and NOT agreeing with the lies of enemy because we are a child of the most high God through Christ Jesus, our Lord, we go with Him. Praise be to God! Thank You Jesus and Your Holy Spirit!

Today I will journey with God. God bless you and your ministry as you keep sharing His truth!

Amen.Amen.Amen Wanda. God has really used you to speak this morning as God’s prophetess. You have his ears I believe. Keep listening and keep speaking. Your God sent messages are breaking Satan’s yokes, setting many free and liberating souls and plunging us into victories and God’s divine will. May the Lord bless strengthen and preserve you dear woman of God.
