The Biden administration’s Department of Justice announced it would establish a specialized unit dedicated to domestic terrorism.
Testifying on Tuesday at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on the January 6 Capitol riot, Assistant Attorney General for National Security Matthew Olsen revealed the change during his opening statement before the Committee.
“The threat posed by domestic terrorism is on the rise,” Olsen said. “The number of FBI investigations over the past two years since March 2020 has more than doubled.” Olsen cited as examples the 2019 mass shooting at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, the 2018 mass shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the 2017 shooting at the Congressional Baseball game practice, and the 2015 shooting at a church in Charleston, South Carolina. Olsen also made note of the anniversary of the Capitol riot and pointed out that the DOJ has arrested more than 725 people for their involvement in the Capitol breach, including more than 300 on felony charges.
“The attacks in recent years underscore the threat that domestic terrorism continues to pose to our citizens, to law enforcement officers, to public officials, and to our democratic institutions,” Olsen continued. “Based on the assessment of the intelligence community, we face an elevated threat from domestic violent extremists.”
Olsen then outlined what that threat means in practice. He testified that domestic terrorists are motivated by a mix of ideology and personal grievances, but that the DOJ has recently “seen a growing threat from those who are motivated by racial animus as well as those who ascribe to extremist anti-government and anti-authority ideologies.” Olsen did acknowledge that the DOJ is still monitoring threats from foreign terrorist groups like al-Qaeda and ISIS as well.
“Today, investigating and prosecuting domestic violent extremists is one of our top priorities,” Olsen continued . . .

Lord, please remove the blinders from the FBI, that they may see the danger of the BLM and Antifa groups as a greater threat than concerned citizens.
If that be the case you better go after those riots in the summer of 2020. They are definitely domestic terrorists. Look at the destruction they caused to our great nation. Don’t have 2 sets of domestic terrorists, they are all the same.
This has red flags written all over it. The serpents who reside in the Biden administration have a new scheme to target Americans internally.
Please don’t misunderstand what I’m saying – there are people or groups (BLM, KKK, ANTIFA, etc.) who are serious threats. The present administration won’t target those they are “hiding in the closet with”. But they will use this new department to unfairly target people who don’t agree with them or who they have a vendetta against. When an AG like revenge minded Garland makes an public announcement like this, they have venomous plans “blended” into their “legal means/laws” to neutralize people they have on their list.
Pray for exposure by those in government who know what is going to take place. Pray for “leaks” to move forward from those (internally) who want to protect people who are law abiding but are excercising their 1st amendment rights.
Pray for continued exposure of any efforts that are unlawful and ungodly.
I don’t see any specific threat defined. What did these ‘domestic terrorists’ do?
This political DOJ will define domestic terrorism as conservative activism.
I am praying for Truth & Justice to prevail and all evil in our government to be exposed. I’m praying for Truth in every area: the virus. the vaccine. the Jan 6th group at the Capitol, the election, the other riots that have taken place in our country, the truth about what is happening at our southern border, what is happening to the immigrants that enter our country, the sex & drug trafficking, etc. Father we pray as Jesus told us to in the Lord’s prayer, “deliver us from evil” Amen
LORD God Almighty, give us the strength and courage to reign in the 2nd American Revolution. We rely on the actions of the founding fathers which included Divine Providence. Let this 2nd American Revolution spread throughout the globe to free all captives from their tyrants. Amen.
Heavenly Father, we pray for the salvation of the Attorney General, Merrick Garland. We pray that he, and all those influencing his decisions would find themselves gripped with horror over turning justice on its head in America. We pray that You would fully expose their hypocrisy making enemies of the citizen in a vengeance campaign against innocent moms and dads, Christians, Orthodox Jews and Constitution lovers who they are putting on lists. Yet they are allowing lawlessness to abound, turned a blind eye to thousands of riots during which there were 30 murders, dozens of injured law enforcement and millions and millions of dollars in damage. They turn a blind eye to gang warfare and violence on the streets, to millions of unvetted peoples illegally crossing our borders. Expose their hypocrisy and wickedness! In Your mercy and righteousness open wide the doors for our political prisoners of Jan. 6th, languishing in inhumane conditions for 374 days, some guilty of nothing more than trespassing! Expose those in leadership who were complicit in this event, for we are not unaware of their participation, lies and that they are advantageously using this riot to to attack the former president and send a message of severe consequences for any who question an election filled with fraud and illegality. Bring these people low for their spite, vengeance, abuse of 1000 yrs. of jurisprudence, of due process and equal protection under the law! Lord, please lift the spirit of apathy over this nation. May our people care and be filled with righteous indignation for the abuse of this department, abuse of power, abuse of peoples for political reasons, and now abuses of peoples who disagree with CRT, but believe in equality, not equity, who long for one nation under You, not tribes under the dictatorship of government. This administration is all show and no go. Ready to attack parents defending their children while ignoring the destruction of our cities by rioters. Extremists will turn out to be anyone that doesn’t agree with them. I have never felt more afraid in my own country.

Please dear Lord and God, lead the doj to use their time with looking for terrorism in other areas, not with the parents of school children that are concerned with what their children are being taught in school. These parents are NOT terrorists and should NOT be treated as such. Also, please let these people realize that these people they jailed for the January 6th insurrection (which not one has been charged with) are NOT terrorists either. Treat them as U.S. citizens that are entitled to everything any other person is entitled to. Please let this terrorist government we have know that they will be judged by God in the end for what they do to our citizens…in the almighty name of Jesus we pray. Amen

The real domestic terrorists are those who are supposed to protect and defend our nation and the Constitution from both foreign and domestic enemies who instead are acting enemies of both Americans and the Constitution. This is Joe Biden and the Biden administration as well as the Democratic Socialists in the House and Senate, and the DOJ. Biden, Harris, and many others should be charged and convicted as domestic terrorists and traitors.
Well Garland if you want to arrest every domestic terrorist you need to arrest all your fellow democrats that especially means the Buyden administration congress all democrat bureaucrats and every democrat in the Department of Justice!
American people must realize that the DOJ and speaker Olsen may have a very different definition of domestic violence than what the people understand. I noted that true domestic violence examples of several years ago were mentioned, while the most recent example he gave was January 6 which was quite a different situation and may have been executed by DOJ officers. There was no mention of the domestic violence perpetrated in several US cities where Antifa and BLM burned and looted prices businesses, etc. The definition of domestic violence may have changed so they may lawfully arrest innocent Americans citizens protesting liberal actions against our nation. Have the reached th red t Ice that the Bible warns that Evil will be called good and good will be called evil?
