I Prayed have prayed
Lord, God, we return to the You. You are gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and You relent from sending calamity.
Reading Time: < 1 minute

If you are not familiar with the teaching of IFA founder, Derek Prince, you will be very blessed to hear this. We are certainly in a crisis. This teaching on Joel develops what God asks of us in a difficult time like today. Let us know what you think of this Bible lesson. And by the way, Derek Prince emphasizes gathering, but IFA is not recommending gathering in person at this time. Fortunately, there are many prayer calls and webcasts available right now. It is also a teaching of the wonderful story of Jehosophat facing an incredibly powerful army in 2 Chronicles 20.  At about minute 44, he shares a beautiful biblical picture of the intercessor as a watch tower which the enemy could not pass. Be encouraged intercessor!

FASTING, FASTING
Spiritual exercise in which an individual or a community abstains from food. Although the biblical practice was to last generally one day (until nightfall), the Bible quotes fasts of three days, seven days, three weeks, and forty days.
People fasted for various reasons. They did it, for example, to prepare before receiving a message from God and before going to fulfill a special mission from God. But they also did it on the occasion of the death of a loved one or to commemorate national catastrophes; and to implore God’s help, discernment, or forgiveness.
Fasting in the Old Testament
The detailed revision of texts in the Old Testament offers us the following table:
1. Most of the precautionary passages present fasting in a context of mourning, sadness and humiliation (Thu_20: 26; Thu_20: 1 S 31.13; 2Sa_1: 12; 2Sa_12: 16-23).
2. There are some passages that present the state of sadness and humiliation in the context of penance for sin (1Sa_7: 6; 1Sa_7: 1 R 21.9-27).
3. In the texts of captivity and especially those of post-captivity (where most texts are found), fasting is usually presented in the context of penance and humiliation and as a sign of conversion (Jer_14: 12; Jon_3 : 5; Esd_8: 23; Neh_9: 1; 2Cr_20: 3; Joe_1: 14; Joe_2: 12; Joe_2: 15; Dan_9: 3; Ps_35: 13; Ps_69: 10; Ps_109: 24)

Praise the Lord for this mighty and timely message. It is such an encouragement to have prayer warriors and to be a part of this Mighty team. Please keep the many elderly in prayer that are in the nursing homes and we can be a light to them by sending them letters, cards and bible study lessons. Some of the staff in the nursing homes are actually going from room to room with their laptop computers and having them contact their families on Facebook. God is so Good. We are having the children send homemade cards to the nursing home to flood them with our love and prayers.

thank you for this sermon!
Praying for GOD to cause this to happen today. We had a call to prayer March 15th but no fasting. LORD, YOU are our only answer, help us, give spiritual insight to our leaders and pastors and cause us YOUR people to desire to pray fervently. Forgive our sins and heal our land in the mighty name of JESUS i pray.

Praise Yeshua Hamashiach! Thank you and bless you for sharing this audio. What a timely message. Such confirmation for me personally in so many ways. Father, may we pursue your heart for the church, stand in the gap, pray for repentance, for revival, for the sick and suffering and to heal our land. May we draw nearer to you as your purified and sanctified bride… Preparing for your return. Raise up your mighty army of intercessors! Raise them up!

Dear sisters and brothers. The Lord will not hear our prayers if we do not pray in Jesus Name.

    In Jesus Name!

Written for those to speak in agreement as your own prayer adding too as you’re led and always in the name of Jesus, complete as your own prayer.

Thank you for this informative video. Our prayer team listened to it this morning and we are recommending to our pastor that the church actually do a study of the Joel and 2 Chronicles passages as a church-wide small group focus.
