Consumer Prices up 5.7% in 2021
U.S. consumer prices rose 5.7% over the past year, the fastest pace in 39 years, as a surge in inflation confronts Americans with the holiday shopping season underway.
The November increase, reported Thursday by the Commerce Department, followed a 5.1% rise for the 12 months ending in October, and kept up a trend of annual price gains running well above the 2% inflation target set by the Federal Reserve…
Personal incomes, which provide the fuel for future spending increases, rose 0.4% in November, slightly lower than the 0.5% increase in October.
The big jump in the Commerce Department’s price gauge was similar to the rise in the consumer price index, which was up 6.8% for the 12 months ending in November, also the biggest surge by this measurement in 39 years.

I received a timely message from Copeland Ministries: media has been reporting news of supply chain bottleneck and many similar events. However, Pastor Bill Winston pushed back. Maybe something may be coming in the economy. Whatever it may be, if a person is operating in Kingdom, Godly principles, it will be as if they are in the dark at 5he time of the Flood of Noah. Yhe worse things got…the higher Noah rose.
As we engage our Faith, we find we are not subject (to every ill wind that blows.)
This message reminded me of God’s faithfulness. I had just received my Social Security statement and realized my income had changed little in 14 years of government payments minus insurance. Has my lifestyle modified? Certainly. But God..has provided my needs and wants. (I shall not want). The family had a very quiet Christmas. No one ended up with debt resulting from gift buying. We were together and I was content knowing that those with 6 figure incomes were conscious of good stewardship.
We all gave to others as we were led so when we went to the grocery store and found items unavailable and a 23% increase at checkout….I still found the above message appropriate.
God has shown me Goliath laid out on the battlefield and Davud, the least of those gathered, ready to finish the job and move on to brothers who were trying to emulate the oldest.
Irrelevant? Maybe but the Goliath’s we face every day are still subject to the God of the Impossuble.
Many prophetic voices have indicated signs and wonders following uf we continue with the Chief Shephard.
May the Ekklesua rise up this year to Bless and be Blessed..
