The only person charged in the Justice Department’s spygate probe was spared prison time for altering an email used to support a FISA surveillance application. Former FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith, 38, received the sentence of 12 months probation and 400 hours community service from U.S. District Court Judge James Boasberg Friday during a video hearing.

Kevin Clinesmith just apologized to everyone but God and Carter Page for altering the original CIA source. Because of Clinesmith, millions of dollars and man hours were spent investigating an innocent man. . . .

The DOJ is asking for “several months” in prison.

Judge Boasberg admits that Clinesmith violated Page’s 4th Amendment rights, but states Clinesmith believed he was right in altering the email and didn’t seek to harm Page or the Trump campaign. Right. Over 50 Deep State stooges wrote letters in support of Clinesmith’s character and career. Clinesmith has lost his job and therefore all meaning in his life, his $150k salary, may be disbarred and will be unable to work in government.  . . .

Wow – the deep state got to the judge and threatened or bought them off. That simple. Either that or the judge was educated at the school of “I’ll just interpret it as I see fit”.
The statement that he “didn’t mean to harm anyone” is about the weakest reason I’ve ever heard from someone who is supposed to represent justice. The personal interpretation of the judge has ZERO to do with actual facts.
