A Ventura County state judge issued a temporary restraining order to Pastor Rob McCoy of Godspeak Calvary Chapel Church prohibiting the church from meeting under Governor Newsom’s unconstitutional COVID-19 no singing and no worship orders. Liberty Counsel does not represent the church but is working with the pastor and his legal counsel.
The state court order also names Does 1 – 1000, meaning the injunction includes every person who attends the church or who will attend the church. Anyone who dares visit the church to worship could be held in contempt of court.
However, Gov. Newsom’s orders allow the church to feed, shelter, and provide social services, but the same people in the same building cannot worship. In order words, non-religious services are acceptable but religious services are banned. . . .
This case is the first in the country where church members and all future attendees are now considered defendants subject to contempt of court for entering a church to WORSHIP.
An evidentiary hearing is now set for the end of the month.
Liberty Counsel Founder and Chairman Mat Staver said, “The same governor who encourages mass protests, bans all worship. The same governor who says the church can meet for secular services, bans the church from having religious worship. If people cannot see this obvious unconstitutional violation, they are blind. This unconstitutional hostility against religious worship must end. Enough is enough!”

I am praying for the Pastor and believers at this church, that they will stand on their constitutional right of freedom of worship! I pray they will stand firm, be gracious, sing praises to the Lord, pray for those who are trying to steal their rights, and show the country what true believers in Jesus Christ look like!

Nothing can stop those who seek in their souls the love they have for the Lord. & to worship Him together, it is Biblical. There are more people at Walmart & other public places on Sunday mornings, it is simply another day of the week. We can worship Him everyday and lift up those who are lost. Lord, I pray for Your churches in California and other states who are having this problem. These Governors and Mayors haven’t any right to forbid worship and church services. My prayer is also when election time comes, the citizens will remove these left-wing Governors and elect Governors who loves God and honors the President and is fair to the community. This is totally unconstitutional and very hostile toward religious worship.

I pray in the power of Your name that any government leader that refuses to let Your people worship would be removed in Nov 2020 and replaced with those whose hearts are loyal to you. I pray that the land allotted to the righteous – Your America – would not be given to the wicked. Father God, thank you for the opportunity to pray for CALIFORNIA and its Senators, Representative, Governor and his administration. We pray that all these people in government to draw close to You God. To know You. Because Proverbs 9:10 said: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”
The duties of the Democratic Party are to support minority, women’s right, environment, progressive reforms. However, they have forgotten how to play fair. They have put their agenda before PEOPLE. They do whatever it takes to advance their agenda including supporting BLM, ANTIFA etc of Marxism teaching.
Since President Trump won the election, the Democratic Party have not been supportive to build America and its people . Their insubordination divide this country. Therefore Father, if You will, please allow Hawaii to be red state with conservatives value whose allegiance is to God, put American (People) first then do the Constitution. Father God, please rewrite the Democratic Party agenda / duty to include putting American people FIRST. Though I applauded their unity among the party. Father God please raise up Christian men and women to be like Daniel who dare to stand for what is right to REPLACE Senators, Representative, Governor and his administrations. These Christian men and women will have no corruption in them because they are trustworthy, not corrupt, nor negligent. In China it started with Covid-19 as excuse for cracking down, then they could not even have small Bible studies, ( sound familiar?), then they could not even have family Bible study. Lord I pray you would rise against this effort to employee communism in our society under the pretense of the pandemic. The agenda is clear. They tear down Christian foundations and have already attacked churches physically. They try to tear down family values and morals. It’s progressive and Lord we ask you to tear down these strongholds of rebellion and witchcraft. Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. We know your eye is on the sparrow and you are still watching over us all and say Fear not, be of good courage. Lord help us fight the good fight and stand in faith, never giving up but believing in God alone. Look up, stand and believe.

The “Church”, meaning Christ’s Church is under direct attack. The 1st Amendment to the Constitution of the United States reads in part – “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, OR PROHIBITING THE FREE EXERCISE THEREOF;….” The is happening throughout our nation. I believe churches (collectively) must do at least three things. First, they must band together and sue governors and mayors for violating the constitutional right of freedom to worship. Two, are steps to capitalize on exposing the perversions of institutions the God has ordained – government, education, redefinition of marriage, etc. Three, prepare to go underground. These attacks are only the beginning. Christ never intended for the church to be a comfortable observer in the communities in which it resides. Christ said He would build his church and “the gates of hell would not prevail against it.” The church is called to go on the offense. If we don’t advance on our own, Christ will give us a nudge as He did in the first century – it was called persecution.

Father God, I pray your supernatural blessing, strength, wisdom, discernment and faith upon your church. Lord show us how to be Davids and fight the Goliaths of our day. Let us join our hearts and stand against the Goliaths of religious tyranny, medical tyranny, tyranny against the unborn, tyranny against the family,and tyranny against freedoms granted to us by our God given constitution. Lord we pray that you will bind Gov Newsome and his liberal judges, foil their plans and protect your church and faithful servants. We praise your mighty plan to reveal their wicked ways. Have worship music on as people come to be served with food or whatever! Have your volunteers sing and worship as they serve the people! Some who come will remember the songs and sing too! But God will be glorified! The glory of the Lord will change the atmosphere and people will want that peace in their own lives!
