Christmas: The Greatest Reset
The greatest reset of all time was the birth of Jesus Christ. Even the calendar was reset from BC to AD! The Son of God was sent to redeem the world from sin and its consequences including separation from God. While born in humble circumstances, Jesus fulfilled His redemptive mission through His sacrificial death and resurrection. Before He ascended into Heaven, He appeared to His disciples and gave the great commission: Go into all the world and preach His gospel of salvation. (Mark 16:15)

Jesus then promised to return not as a humble baby, but as King to reign over God’s kingdom on earth in fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophecy: For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
In Revelation John prophesies of the last days: They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.” Revelation 17:14
While Satan desperately seeks to impose his own global reset, he cannot thwart God’s kingdom plan.
Earthly Rulers
After three years of pandemic, political and economic chaos, people long for a normal Christmas! While fear has dominated the discourse in government and media, people everywhere seek a sense of control and peace in their lives. Wherever there is unrest, powerful elite seek to impose their solutions. That is an age-old truism. In Genesis 11 we read the story of the Tower of Babel when leaders aspired to build a structure that reached the heavens. God’s response was to confound speech and scatter the people, creating nation states.
Thereafter, throughout history a progression of dictators expanded their control only to be conquered by the next strongman as Daniel 2 and Daniel 7 prophesy. In modern times Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, and the Empire of Japan among others sought to gain world domination only to be defeated. In the aftermath of WWII, the United Nations, European Union, World Economic Forum, and other global entities maneuver to consolidate power and influence with their Great Reset. Meanwhile Russia, China, and Iran each aspire to their own version of world domination. Global competition for power is fierce! How can we combat the seeming strangle hold of these globalist forces and retain freedom?
King of Kings
On a summer hike up Mount Humphreys I heard singing ahead. As we met up, I asked a father and his toddler whom he carried on his shoulders, “are you having fun?” His daughter burst out, “Hallelujah! “Praise the Lord,” I concurred. As they continued down the mountain, her tiny joyful voice rang out repeatedly, “Hallelujah! Hallelujah!” Out of the mouths of babes truth is proclaimed. Praising the King of kings who gives our freedom, preserves our freedom. (Psalm 146)
Psalm 2 gives us confidence in God’s sovereignty:
Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and his anointed, saying, “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.” The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. He rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, “I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain…” Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him. (Psalm 2:1 – 6, 12)
Since freedom was granted by God the Creator, no ruler or government has a right to remove what God ordained for all humans. Yet through fear, censorship, cancellation, manipulation of markets and money, and tyranny globalists continually seek power and control. All their plans for a one world government, new world order and Great Reset shall come to naught.
Whom Shall You Worship?
The deceiver Satan knows his time is growing short to corrupt humans and foil God’s plan to rule and reign on earth as in heaven. Everything he contrives is a counterfeit of God’s will for His creation. In place of God’s commandment to Adam and Eve the serpent tempted, “Hath God said…” (Genesis 3:1) And throughout history, he advocates rebellion against the Word of God. Satan inspires false religions that attempt to replace the truth of the gospel. Jesus Himself proclaimed: I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 Satan encourages imitators of God to challenge truth and establish human-centric beliefs. We live in an age where anything goes, when each person creates individualized truth, and governments attempt to replace God. It is vital that the church stand in the absolute truth of Christ and His word against evil. Whether the church allows false beliefs to infiltrate doctrine or is silent, Christ’s gospel and mission is compromised. (Revelation 2:14-22, II Timothy 3)
God says humankind was made in His image, male and female. (Genesis 1:27) Now transgender advocates claim that one can be whatever one desires. God established marriage between man and woman to populate the earth. (Genesis 1:28) Now same sex marriage is declared equally valid and those who protest are branded bigots. God says all have sinned and are judged impartially. (Romans 3:23, 1 Peter 1:17) Now critical race and social justice advocates claim there are oppressed and oppressors who must be judged with partiality; their secular intolerance seeks to divide and beneath its sheep coat is the wolf of socialism/Marxism. God says worship only Him and serve no idols. (Exodus 20) Now globalists proclaim the worship of earth and insist climate change requires denial of all that God calls good. God says be born again in spirit and transformed by the renewing of your mind. (John 3:3; Romans 12:2) Now globalists boast over transhumanism seeking to remake humans by embedded technology and the hacked genome. God says protect children (Matthew 18:6) while family disintegration, child abuse, grooming, trafficking and pedophilia are pervasive. God says choose life (Deuteronomy 30:19), while governments promote death through abortion, false vaccines, drugs, euthanasia, and imitation foods. These false beliefs and evil agendas are but another teetering “Tower of Babel.”
Overcome by the Spirit
Satan was defeated at the cross of Jesus and all his evil plans shall be overcome: I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33 Because of Christmas, the greatest reset of all time, you can overcome whatever Satan and his earthly followers contrive to control and enslave you. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to live within each believer giving discernment, guidance, comfort, and courage while producing the fruit of the spirit. (Galatians 5: 6-25)
You can take heart this Christmas and celebrate that God is in control and no weapon of the enemy can prevail. (Isaiah 54:17) Rejoice in His victory at the cross by which He took the punishment for all sin of all times. As the heavenly host did at His birth praise Him for His truth, faithfulness, lovingkindness, and “good news unto all people.” (Luke 2:10) Worship Him alone as the shepherds and Magi did so long ago. This Christmas wrapped in the grace of Jesus you and your family can overcome fear, oppression, illness, anxiety, criticism, and hardship. Jesus enables life resets, first spiritually, then emotionally, relationally, physically, and vocationally as one fulfills His purposes. (Romans 12:2)
Without Christmas, the world is lost in the chaos of darkness, deception, and destruction. Through the only true light of the world, the One who spoke “let there be light” (Genesis 1:3) and created the universe, gives all people a “future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11) As Simeon the priest declared at Jesus dedication, I have seen your salvation, which you have prepared for all people. He is a light to reveal God to the nations, and he is the glory of your people Israel! Luke 2:30-32 This Christmas beyond decorative lights, step into His light, receive His gift of salvation, and let the light of Jesus shine through you on all in your sphere of influence. Free in Christ through His Holy Spirit who dwells within, you shall overcome the tyrannical powers of this world. Hallelujah, Christmas is the greatest reset!

WILL YOU DRINK OF MY CUP?
by Eva
Will you drink of My cup, dear child?
You know not what you ask!
Yes, I know that you love Me
And your soul on Me you’ve cast.
Only look deep into My cup,
And I’ll cause your eyes to see
That to drink from My cup, My child,
You’ll suffer greatly for Me.
You’ll be hated for My Name’s sake,
And that without a just cause.
You’ll be “turned in” by your enemies
For spurning their unrighteous laws.
You’ll be ridiculed and scorned
And will suffer even worse.
You’ll be greatly misunderstood,
Forsaken, and even cursed!
You’ll suffer loneliness, sorrow,
Heartache and great despair.
At times, you’ll feel so all alone,
Questioning if I’m really there.
You’ll be killed all the day long;
For My Name, you’ll embrace your cross,
Daily surrendering your own will
And fully counting the cost.
‘Til the day you’ve entered My gates
When your life on earth is done.
‘Til the day you stand before Me
And hear Me say, “Well done!”
Yes, drink deeply of My cup, child
For I know all who are Mine.
Take up your cross and follow Me
And leave the world behind!
Thank you Father for the promise of Christmas. Thank you Jesus. In this turbulent time, may we be messengers of life and your glory!

In the uncertainty of this world I am all the more compelled to tell others how Jesus told us to “Go out into the world and tell others about Him.” Recently had an opportunity to pray with a couple on the verge of homelessness. They had done their share of making inspirational plaques to sell at a flea market. The inspiration that I had was to tell them to take authority over their lives and to partner with God over their circumstances. Now, take this word “Author-it-y” alone is a huge key to their success. He says to write your book with His words of life, wisdom, care over your situation. Speak the words of comfort from the Book of Life! He has already made us promises to turn the evil of the world around! There isn’t a problem emotionally, physically, financially, or spiritually that He hasn’t already “Paid in Full” in His becoming a man to save us from the conditions and consequences of sin. He is for us not against us. Strength, courage, hope are ours for the asking. Jesus does not want us to be afraid but to speak His words over our situations and wait on Him. Praise and thank Him for taking care of an upside down, inside out problem. Expect a miracle and it will catch you by surprise!
