I Prayed have prayed
Heavenly Father, You alone are God. You alone are worthy or our praise.

This week, on Tuesday, the Supreme Court heard two critical cases on the application of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act to sexual orientation and gender identity. As Justice Gorsuch said during the hearing, a ruling in this case may cause “massive social upheaval.” It is vitally important to pray.

IFA will be hosting a prayer tour in Washington, D.C. tomorrow and we will be at the Supreme Court praying during the day (as well as at the Capitol and the White House.) We invited to intercessors to join us and a core group said “yes,” not knowing that it would be such a critical time to intercede on site. Our group will share parts of our day via Facebook Live, as we are able, as an update and a source of encouragement to other intercessors across the nation. You can reach our Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/pg/IFAPray/posts/?ref=page_internal.

We will be using a prayer guide that we developed for this event. Feel free to download and use it as you intercede today for the nation and our leaders.

Another case we will be praying about concerns a Christian high school student who was urged by a teacher to recite the Islamic Creed. CBN News reported in May that her case had been appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court. Now we’ve discovered the girl’s plea is on the high court’s online docket which shows it has been distributed for a conference at the court on Oct. 11.

Your prayers are needed today for the Supreme Court conference tomorrow. Pray God’s will for whether the Supreme Court should take this case. Pray also for protection of religious freedom.

Four years ago, Christian high school junior Caleigh Wood was compelled by her teacher at La Plata High School in La Plata, MD, to recite the Islamic conversion creed – the Shahada – as part of a written assignment. She was required to write the Islamic creed, “There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.”

The World History course also taught that “Most Muslims’ faith is stronger than the average Christian’s.”

Wood refused to complete the assignment, believing that it is a sin to profess by word or in writing, that there is any other god except the Christian God.

School officials refused to let her opt-out of the course, and as a result, she received a lower percentage grade for the course, but that did not affect her letter grade.

The Thomas More Law Center (TMLC) on behalf of the Wood family filed a lawsuit, claiming the school had violated the First Amendment Establishment Clause and the girl’s right not to be forced to profess faith in another religion. Both the Federal District Court and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in favor of the high school’s Islamic curriculum.

Now, the TMLC has appealed the case to the Supreme Court asking the high court to decide whether any legal basis exists to allow public schools to discriminate against Christianity while at the same time promoting Islam.

“Under the guise of teaching history or social studies, public schools across America are promoting the religion of Islam in ways that would never be tolerated for Christianity or any other religion,” TMLC President and Chief Counsel Richard Thompson said in a statement. “I’m not aware of any school which has forced a Muslim student to write the Lord’s Prayer or John 3:16: ‘For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.'”

I joyfully join these who have written in prayer for the Supreme Court to rule in favor of religious freedom for this girl and all others who worship the living Lord who created heaven and earth and everything in them and who have surrendered their lives to walk with Him only throughout their days on earth

I don’t trust the Supreme Court Justices to uphold anything Godly. I believe they have forsaken God.

We proclaim that there is NO GOD LIKE JEHOVAH and that you will reward those who diligently seek you. You, Lord God are King of the whole Earth. We trust You to bring Your justice in the Supreme Court of heaven against Satan himself who is trying to wipe out your people who stand for righteousness, like this student. We agree with you who say that the weapon that the enemy is trying to use against this student WILL NOT PROSPER in the name of Jesus in whose name we pray.AMEN!!!

Very good prayer. Thank you Father, that you hear us. Thank you that you have warned us that we are to never have any God but you. Lord, you live in our hearts but as your great servants in the Bible refused to bow to false Gods, I pray that those that are called by your name would humbel themselves and pray and that we would have a great and mighty outpouring of those who beseech your intervention in this. You have said, Father, that “if those that are called by your name would humbel themselves and pray, you would hear from Heaven and come and heal their land.” We have no hope for healing outside of your intervention, Father. Please come quickly.

Father God, we praise you and thank you that this student was given the courage and tenacity to refuse to follow a religion she doesn’t believe in. We pray the Supreme Court will take this case as it’s a clear violation of the freedom we should have in this country. Glory be to the Living God!
