I Prayed have prayed
Reading Time: 3 minutes

We have been praying that God’s Spirit would be poured out on all flesh and that all would see the glory of God. Many believe there is yet a final outpouring of His Spirit that will usher in the greatest harvest ever seen. We have repented, fasted, prayed, and appealed to heaven, longing to see the fullness of this promise. Even as these practices are right and good, in Proverbs 1 there is a hidden truth that may be another key to ushering in this long-awaited revival.

Wisdom cries aloud in the street, in the markets she raises her voice; at the head of the noisy streets she cries out; at the entrance of the city gates she speaks: “How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple? How long will scoffers delight in their scoffing and fools hate knowledge? If you turn at my reproof, behold, I will pour out my spirit to you; I will make my words known to you.” (Prv 1:20-23 ESV)

As we look to another year, perhaps we need to consider this admonition as we intercede for God’s purposes to be accomplished. Wisdom is crying out in streets around the earth, stating that she can release an outpouring of the Spirit of God! Wisdom – not just prayer, passion, or pursuit – but Wisdom claims to have a key for heaven coming to earth! What is it about wisdom that would be so powerful as to open a door to revival? The answer lies in verse 23 – If you turn at my reproof. The word reproof means “rebuke, correction, chastisement, punishment.”

Wisdom is saying that if we would turn and allow God’s discipline to have its way, God’s Spirit would be poured out on us!

Isn’t this the same as repentance? Haven’t we been doing that as a nation? I would propose that though we have repented of national sins and asked forgiveness for past wrongs, we have yet to fully embrace God’s personal, fatherly discipline and correction as His children in our ongoing journeys. It’s not only our past that He wants to transform, but our present condition as well. One of the biggest strongholds in our nation that is being displayed on screens around the world is that of rebellion against authority. It is the unwillingness to be corrected, challenged, rebuked, or disciplined.

Unfortunately, this has also crept into the Church. Due to past hurts from authority figures and corporate offenses against various denominations or churches, many have alienated themselves from the Body, and become convinced that any correction or rebuke is either religious, abusive, or controlling. This has resulted in a belief system that shuts out Wisdom’s ways due to fear and rejection. Could this be why some of our prayers for this global outpouring are yet unanswered?

Are we personally blinded to Wisdom’s work of correction and discipline?

Scripture teaches us that God disciplines those He loves (Prv 3:11-12; Heb 12:7-11). He rebukes, corrects, and chastises us so that we will become holy, even as He is holy. This is the path to the center of His heart. I believe that the love of the Father is so strong, He will do anything to see that we become fully mature, built up, and perfected (Heb 5:8-9). And, He will often use others in the process to guide, counsel, and…yes…correct.

As we pray for our nation to be Kingdom-centered and righteously governed, we must pray that our own hearts are free of any rebellion to God’s discipline.

Wisdom’s finest work is often accomplished in the crucible and in the fire. If we can learn to listen to Wisdom in those places, we could very well see the promise for an outpouring of God’s Spirit. To pray effectively for this spirit of rebellion to be dismantled:

  • Ask the Lord to reveal any hint of rebellion in your own heart due to past hurts or misunderstandings (1 Sm 15:23; Ps 129:33).
  • Forgive those who have hurt you and release any offense, personal or corporate (Mt 18:34).
  • Repent for any criticism, accusation, or bitterness towards those in authority and determine to bless them and pray for them (Rom 13:2; Mt 6:14).
  • Determine to receive Wisdom’s correction and discipline through those whom God places in your life (1 Pt 5:5; Ti 3:1).

Habakkuk 2:14 says that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. His glorious presence is already being seen and demonstrated in many parts of the earth. But, it is His knowledge (Wisdom) that is yet to be fully demonstrated through His sons and daughters. Let’s pray that, in this coming year, we can listen to Wisdom and embrace those needed corrections so that God’s Spirit can be poured out in fullness.

….not by the might of a few or the power of many but by HIS SPIRIT….

Only His Spirit can bring about the actual GIFT OF REPENTANCE. The purifying introduction of cleansing that brings about TRUE HEALING AND reveals TRUTH. His Sheep know His Voice. His Love sustains His Sheep. The magnificence of His Presence.

We WORSHIP YOU our LORD our GOD our MAKER. For we are Your sheep, the sheep of Your pasture. WE KNEEL BEFORE YOU.

Jeremiah 23:22 “But if they had stood in My counsel, and had caused my people to hear My words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings. Am I a GOD at hand, saith The LORD, and not a GOD afar off?”

Wisdom is to wait upon The LORD, to stand in HIS counsel, to listen until we hear HIS words, then to speak HIS words to HIS people . . . GOD’s word accomplishes the purpose for which it was sent.

The problem is some don’t wait upon The LORD, and don’t receive a fresh word from HIM. “Give us this day our daily bread”–Fresh bread — a fresh word from our Loving Heavenly Father feeds our souls, guides our minds, and strengthens our faith. How wonderful HE is!

Lordship is Kingship.

Humility and Brokenness is our part in the process of salvation & sanctification.

Jesus is making His enemies a footstool for His feet!

Am I an enemy to His righteousness in me? Is Christ in me the Hope of Glory? Or am I motivated by always proving I am right? Am I critical of those in authority, having the final say? Religious, Pharisee?

Do I take my thoughts captive to Christ. Have I realized there is no good thing in me?

Self-Righteousness is a failure to remember where we came from! We always deserve eternal separation! Remember your calling brethren!

The Church in the West has been in a wilderness…Father wants to deliver her.

Get Ready For The Show! Suddenly He will appear in His Temple!

Good article! Wisdom is a key. “If anyone lacks wisdom…”James 1:5.True wisdom is only revealed by the Spirit of God. It is only by His love through His Spirit that we are drawn to true repentance. Repentance is the key and unlikely we can receive wisdom without it. Repentance is to be experienced on the personal level first. It only is experienced in the larger group and extends to national level as a result of the individual hearts changed/having repented. The national ills and wrong is only the result of the conglomerate of individual hearts going contrary to God’s ways and refusing to obey His Instructions explicitly. The result of generations being intent and content to follow the traditions of men rather than God’s Ways. Seems few now actually think to search scriptures for themselves, and rely mostly on what they hear and follow blindly. Traditions, even Church traditions, are largely the invention of men. God’s Wisdom enables us to discern and repent to His ways.
Repentance is returning – to God’s ways, specifically what He has said in His Word. This is what Jesus and all the prophets preached-Repent. One has not repented until he has “returned”. Wisdom is to examine one’s own heart under counsel of the Spirit in accord with the full Word and instructions of God, and “return”. Good news is, we can repent.

This reproof goes deep! If we don’t see and apply this repentance in our own lives. And decide to live a lifestyle of repentance daily. I’m going to miss God’s wisdom in my life. And miss the opportunities to repent as intercessors for those who don’t know better.
I’m holding this dear to my heart in prayer!

i praise God for this insight because as his body of believers we need his wisdom to mimister his truth to those who don’t know. i spoke with a very good friend of the family, she is a jevoah witness. we don’t talk like we use to because of this she has try to convert me over, but i didn’t respone like she wanted me to. so we stop talking, however she always call after the hoildays. when she had call and i miss it. i ask myself should i call back, it took 2days, then i call,it went well at first. but it end where she got her plug in say that jeavoh was going to do away with christianity. i just ended the call and will be praying for her understanding,so it has me to really to be ready with his word.as we know it says heaven and earth will pass away, but his word will stand forever.

This may sound like pie in the sky but with God’s Guidance ALL things are possible. Perhaps we (meaning ALL in office) before progressing in further decision making, take pause and gather together, both liberals and conservatives, have an in depth examination to determine if our actions and treatment of the masses is in accordance to God’s Divine Plan according to the Bible. For instance, one aspect I see blatantly out of sync is HOW to “take care of the widows and the poor. In the Bible everybody serves in some capacity … Even widows nurture the younger. The only people totally dependant upon the system and not able to give back were the sick and disabled. Everyone did something. No one to my knowledge had a free ride … Everyone gave back in some capacity. The common thread both Liberals and Conservatives share is to improve and maintain a quality of life. If we check our methods against the Bible’s teachings … Both sides can attain wisdom and work together syncronizing the methods to be in accordance with God’s Plan.

This article brought to my remembrance a prophecy from our pastor at corporate prayer on October 22, 2018:

“All authority has been given Me. Go ye therefore; As you come under My authority, you’ll come under My anointing.”
