A shocking conversion therapy ban bill, ACR99, not only prohibits counselors from providing counseling around unwanted same-sex attraction, it also officially states that religious people are the cause for increased suicides and depression in LGBTQ individuals. This bill has passed the California General Assembly and is now being considered in the Senate.
Not only is this a flagrant violation of First Amendment Rights, this misrepresents the intent of religious people and misappropriates blame. Assemblyman Evan Low is seeking to make it the official position of the State Legislature and the State of California that “religious groups” are the cause for “disproportionately high rates of suicide, attempted suicide, depression, rejection, and isolation amongst LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender] and questioning individuals.” Read the full bill details.

Last week we prayed with the mayor of El Cajon, California on a powerful First Friday Prayer Conference Call. It was an incredible time of prayer and it was shocking to hear of some of the laws that have been passed in California. ACR99 is another terrible law, but it has not been passed yet. Pray that the Senate rejects this law.

Heavenly Father in Jesus’ Name I say “Amen” to prayers above. I rebuke in the Name of Jesus the evil forces that propose and promote lies to deceive and destroy. Thank You for protecting Your Church, Your people, and I pray for the promoters of the LBBTQ Movement. That they will uphold God’s truths, and come out of the darkness where their eyes cannot see, or ears cannot hear God’s Word, and by the power of the Holy Spirit desire to follow what God knows is best for them and all mankind. I praise you Heavenly Father for teaching us in Your Word what is good and what is bad. You have always wanted the very best for your Creation, and hurt when people make wrong choices and take pathways that lead to darkness and sometimes death. Praise you for Your mercy and grace, and thank you for showing us the way to repentance, then forgiveness because Christ’s death and resurrection (the perfect sacrifice) covers all sin. Amen.
Yes. Rejecting the truth causes guilt. Guilt may even lead to suicide. Silencing the truth doesn’t solve the problem – turning to the truth does.

Father in Heaven,
I pray that the Fear of God falls on the legislature of the state of California. Make Yourself known to each of them. Pull them back from this rebellion against You. Remove all the ways they have been deceived.
Open their eyes, ears, hearts, and minds to Your Truth and Your Power.
Jesus, please fight for the people who live in this state, both believers and unbelievers. Tear down and destroy, utterly crush the strongholds that are warring against Your Church.
I also ask for Your divine protection over all intercessors against backlash from Your enemy.
May You receive all the glory for the transformation that takes place in California.
I pray in the Name of Jesus that all I have requested be accomplished in Your perfect ways and timing. Amen.
