I Prayed have prayed
Father, please stop these fires on the West Coast. Do not let us live in fear and help us to make no provision for the enemy to attack and give our nation wisdom and discernment.

A suspect accused of using a Molotov cocktail to start a brush fire near an Oregon interstate went out and started six more fires shortly after he was released from jail, according to police.

At least 35 people have died as the result of massive blazes that have been ravaging much of the West Coast, USA Today reported.

At approximately 4:35 on Sept. 13, Portland police were dispatched to the 9600-block of East Burnside Street to help firefighters with a brush fire that had ignited in a grassy area alongside Interstate 205, the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) said in a press release. . . .

Editor’s Note: They were able to stop the spread of the fire before it reached any other structures.

Approximately one hour later, a PPB East Precinct officer was flagged down by someone who said they saw the suspect who started the fire, police said.

The witness directed them to a tent in the area, and officers found 45-year-old Domingo Lopez inside.

Lopez allegedly admitted that he started the blaze using a Molotov cocktail, the PPB said. . . .

Lopez was arrested on charges of second-degree disorderly conduct and reckless burning, the PPB said.

He was released without bail from the Multnomah County Detention Center shortly thereafter, and headed out to start more fires along the interstate, according to police.

Officers and firefighters were dispatched to six fires burning along Interstate 205 at approximately 3:37 a.m. on Monday, the PPB said.

Community members were able to extinguish three of the blazes, while firefighters put out the other three.

“All were caught early,” the PPB said. “No one was injured and no structures were burnt.”

Police spotted Lopez walking along the shoulder of the interstate and placed him under arrest yet again.

He had a lighter in his possession at the time, police said.

Lopez was cited for six more counts of reckless burning before he was transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation, according to the PPB.

Law enforcement officers in Washington, Oregon, and California have arrested multiple other accused arsonists since Sept. 1.

Among them was 44-year-old Elias Newton Pendergrass, who has been accused of first-degree arson in connection with the Sweet Creek Fires, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office in Oregon announced in a Facebook post.

On Sept. 8, a suspect ignited two brush fires in Oregon’s Dexter State Recreation Area, KMTR reported.

Witnesses caught the middle-aged suspect in the act, and told police he took off in a green SUV. . . .

Michael Jarrod Bakkela, 41, was arrested near a residential area in Phoenix, Oregon, after residents saw him lighting a fire behind their home on Sept. 8, ABC News reported.

Bakkela remained at the scene after law enforcement officers arrived. . . .

“There are numerous homes, many of which are burnt completely, some are just heavily damaged,” Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Pubic Information Officer Mike Moran told ABC News.

The fire allegedly started by Bakkela eventually met up with the larger Almeda Fire, according to investigators.

Bakkela, who was on probation for a methamphetamine conviction when he allegedly set the blaze, has been charged with 14 counts of reckless endangering and 15 counts of criminal mischief, ABC News reported.

Police in Spokane, Washington, arrested 36-year-old Christine Comello for allegedly starting at least two fires in the area, KHQ reported.

Witnesses told police they saw Comello start one fire outside a commercial business, and accused her of setting a second fire next to an oil drum beneath a tree, police said.

She has been charged with first-degree arson, second-degree arson, and burglary, KHQ reported.

Comello also had an active warrant for reckless burning and burglary, which was tied to a prior incident involving her allegedly setting fires at a Spokane Valley business several weeks earlier, according to YakTriNews.

Washington State Patrol (WSP) District 1 Public Information Officer Trooper Ryan Burke announced in a tweet on Sept. 9 that officers from multiple jurisdictions apprehended a 36-year-old man for setting a fire in the median of SR-167 in Puyallup.

The Gateway Pundit identified the suspect as Jeffrey Accord, a local Black Lives Matter activist.

In California, highway patrol troopers arrested 37-year-old Anita Esquivel for allegedly starting an unspecified number of fires in the area of Highway 101 near Boronda Road at about 9 a.m. on Sept. 7, KION reported. . . .

In addition to dealing with the threat of approaching fires, residents inside some evacuation zones have become increasingly concerned about looting and break-ins, CNN reported.

Some Clackamas County, Oregon homeowners have chosen to stay behind in order to “defend” their properties, according to the news outlet.

Many homes have handmade signs posted out front, warning looters that they will be shot if they target those properties, CNN reported.

According to Clackamas County Sheriff Craig Roberts, dispatchers have received a 400 percent increase in the number of calls about suspicious individuals since the start of the wildfires.

Some of those calls have resulted in arrests, although Sheriff Roberts did not provide details about how many suspects have been arrested and what types of crimes they’ve been accused of committing.

Some residents have been conducting armed checkpoints to investigate people in vehicles that they do not recognize as belonging to a community member, according to the sheriff.

“The first thing I’d ask them to do is please stop that,” Sheriff Roberts said during a press conference on Sunday, according to CNN. “It is illegal to stop somebody at gunpoint.” . . .

During an emergency Clackamas County Board of County Commissioner’s meeting on Sept. 10, Clackamas County Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Smith said that one of the department’s sergeants had been told that people had been cutting down telephone poles with chainsaws in order to start new fires, CNN reported.

Capt. Smith said there have also been “confirmed reports” of looting and burglaries in the area.

“There’s reports of….and this is not specific to an area, but all over the county, both outlying and even closer into town of people of extremist groups staging gas cans for later destruction,” the captain added. . . .

The commissioners ultimately opted to hold off on requesting troops for the time being.

Meanwhile, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Portland released a statement on Friday saying that reports that extremists have been setting wildfires in Oregon are “untrue.”

“Conspiracy theories and misinformation take valuable resources away local fire and police agencies working around the clock to bring these fires under control,” the FBI said. “Please help our entire community by only sharing validated information from official sources.” . . .

In addition to the fires burning in California, Oregon, and Washington, crews are also battling blazes in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming, the National Interagency Fire Center said on Monday.

Over 26,000 firefighters and support personnel are currently fighting a total of 87 large-scale fires that have burned over 4.6 million acres in 10 states so far.

Some of the fires in California that started on August 15 were the result of lightning. That day there were unusual lightning storms – the hand of God? It is highly unusual for California to have lightning, especially close to the ground in that manner.

I like the part where homeowners place signs warning looters that they are armed. I consider those homeowners Patriots, and the only reason we have freedom is because people like this are ready to fight to defend what others before them died to protect.
It’s time for the Patriots to stand against tyrannical looters and government officials who support their lawlessness.
Freedom is not free. You have to be willing to stand in the face of evil, just like the Israelites who rebuilt
The wall with a sword in one hand.

I have been praying for those protecting us from the fires, providing for us in the midst of the fires (and other trials we’ve been facing), and those caring for us, they are unselfishly placing themselves in danger so that we can live. I have increasingly begun to focus on the will of the Lord in his allowing these thing to happen and less on taking the trial away. He has a purpose in these trials and I want His will to be done, more often now I find myself continuing to pray for the safety of those in harms way and that His will be done, hoping that the trials we’re facing will draw us closer to the Lord and give me the opportunity to share the love of Christ with others, like some of the articles in IFA describe.

Father, I come in agreement with Steve’s prayer and pray YOUR Will be done in this trail right now. My husband and I are in Yosemite National Park waiting for the smoke to clear so we can have good air quality to hike…. one day has turned into three days and yet, we are hopeful. But Your Will is so much more important than our enjoyment in this place and time. I know I am surrounded by Your Majesty which is clouded by this haze, yet YOU are here. May YOU be Glorified.

Hi Lenna! I live just the other side of Chowchilla Mtn. from you and go to New Life in Bootjack; I get it, I know what you mean, my wife and daughter mentioned our air quality listed on the internet a couple days ago was 520, about double that in the Valley. Isn’t is ironic how helpless we are, that all we can do is pray and help others as we are able, all our other fussing and worrying aren’t really a solution. Like any other trial we are in we need to keep our eyes on the Lord and go through it with Him. Everything else is a big distraction created by the “powers and principalities” Paul speak about repeatedly in the Word…

Hang in there Lenna, keep your eyes and prayers focused on the Lord and His will in this mess we find ourselves in; He is faithful, no matter what happens, if we are His, we will always be with Him.

      In Christ, Steve

God of Mercy. God of grace. I pray you bring control of these senseless acts of arson by those who don’t know you and because they don’t know who you are they cannot understand the sovereign God. The creator, the Almighty God our source and our provider. Another case of injustice by a system that has failed again. Lives lost, homes destroyed, people displaced at the hands of those who live in such darkness. For the enemy has come but to steal, kill and destroy….our joy our peace… Jesus came so that we might have light…May God bless each and everyone who is and have been impacted by the fires. He will see you through.

Not only the arsonist(S)must be held accountable and made to repay as much as the damages as they can but, those responsible for releasing them from jail to go and start more fires. If any lives are lost they MUST be arrested, charges with and charged with the appropriate Murder/Manslaughter. They the arsonist(s) must be place in a maxim security physiological prison and given the necessary psychological treatment.

An eye for an eye in these situations must be used. If they destroy property n lives they must be put to work restoring the property, if lives they must give their life. When the laws of God are disregarded all go astray. Unfortunately many prefer the 3meals and a bed in jail over their homeless, poverty.
We have allowed foolish liberality to cloud our decisions.
What can the righteous do when the foundations are destroyed!
I believe communities will Enlist militia to protect their hard work, property n lives against the lawless!
Pray for harvest and repentance.
We are under judgement for allowing innocent lives to be murdered instead of ruling over our own flesh!
God help us

This is true, with many identical reports. Also BLM has been dispersed to the country-side to set fires. Being an Oregonian, I have seen a lot of homemade videos depicting this. I have talked to many about their 24/7 citizen patrols of the rural communities. Sheriffs and officials who speak openly about antifa being involved are being fired. Since the tyrant governor is cutting funding for these efforts as we speak, good citizens are taking things into their hands. We have seen and know personally our friend’s devastation of losing their home and all they had. Small towns are being wiped out. But good people are coming to the fore, offering food, water, trailers, hay bales and other animal feed to help each other out. The skies are almost apocalyptical. Walking outside this evening it feels like a movie where you wonder if there is another living soul out there, because of the foggy-smoky look and the yellowish color of everything and deadness of the air and the silence. We need all criminal elements of this entire thing investigated. All of you who have researched Agenda 2030, would recognize that this might be part of the plan to move all into a centralized smart city. Some are speaking of the geoengineering that continues to allay the rain and further put aluminum, strontium barium and nanoparticles over the smoke cover and before the fires to increase draught, and make the fires burn hotter, Others are suggesting DEW’s. We need much prayer for truth, justice and righteousness to arise. Many lives, while already oppressed by the “pandemic” will be even more desperate after experiencing these days.

Dear Father Almighty, in the Strong Name of Jesus Christ, LORD of LORDS and KING of KINGS,
Hear the cries of Your people. Have mercy and save us from the evil one and his workers of evil. I confess our many sins on behalf of Your church and the US citizens and those who are here legally. And, I repent of our multitude of sinful lives against You Father and one another. Nothing is impossible with You, Dear Savior. Have mercy. Forgive us for casting You out of our personal and corporate lives! Please save us from sin and death that is currently being perpetrated and waged by the evil one.
Amen! All honor and Glory be unto YOU!

As I read this I’m getting a dose of reality shock from where I live on the east coast. I cannot believe this is happening. I am so sorry for what you’ve witnessed, what so many are suffering through right now. Julie, I pray that as you walk through clouds of smoke God will open up the heavens and you will see a spot of bright blue sky- a miraculous rainbow, something to bring comfort and remind that He is there above it all and will protect you.
I ask God in the name of Jesus to bring down the rain on these areas- no matter what man has done to engineer the weather, Father God the earth is your creation and you have all dominion and power over it. Lord bless our friend Julie, comfort her and fill her with the joy of knowing You regardless of these tragic circumstances that surround her. Help her to learn secrets from you in the darkness of the smoke that she could never learn in the light. Protect these people Lord who have no other choice than to protect themselves and their property. Bring justice to the evil ones Lord Jesus I pray.

I received this Word after commenting:
The righteous person is rescued from trouble,
and it falls on the wicked instead.

Be sure of this: The wicked will not go unpunished,
but those who are righteous will go free.

You are so right No one can do evil without paying the price. It may seem like they have gotten away with their crimes, but it will only be for a space of time. God’s judgement will come if they don’t repent. He loves them and wants them in the kingdom;we need to pray for them before it is to late. They have been deceived and need to come into the light.
