I Prayed have prayed
Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment for AG William Barr as he weighs in on legal matters in the U.S.

In a surprising rebuke Thursday, Attorney General William Barr criticized President Donald Trump’s tweets about Roger Stone’s case and other Justice Department matters.

Attorney General Barr has been called upon for such a time as this to help clean up the Justice Department and other areas of the government. Given the activity of the Deep State, we know it is no easy task. Will you take a moment to express your appreciation for the commitment and strength that AG Barr and his staff are showing to stand strong for truth?

“I think it’s time to stop the tweeting about Department of Justice criminal cases,” Barr told ABC News’ Pierre Thomas in an interview.

Trump on Tuesday blasted federal prosecutors’ recommendation that Stone serve up to nine years in prison for a conviction that stemmed from a case that started under the special counsel.

Trump called the recommendation a “miscarriage of justice,” and suggested he might pardon Stone, his longtime associate.

The Justice Department told reporters hours later that officials were “shocked” by the steep prison recommendation. Hours after that, four prosecutors on the Stone case withdrew, with one of them quitting the Justice Department altogether.

The U.S. attorney’s office in Washington, D.C., which handled Stone’s case, submitted a new sentencing recommendation for the GOP operative, saying he deserved to spend time in prison, but for “far less” time than initially proposed.

Barr came under intense scrutiny from Democrats who accused him of doing Trump’s bidding.

Trump did not help matters when he thanked Barr in a tweet Wednesday for “tak[ing] charge” of the Stone case.

Barr said Thursday that it was “preposterous” to suggest that he intervened in the Stone case to lower the sentence at Trump’s request.

“I’m not going to be bullied or influenced by anybody … whether it’s Congress, a newspaper editorial board, or the president,” Barr told ABC.

“I’m gonna do what I think is right,” he continued, adding, “I cannot do my job here at the department with a constant background commentary that undercuts me.”

He also expressed frustration in general at Trump’s tweets about pending Justice Department cases.

“Yes,” he said when ABC’s Thomas asked if Trump’s tweets bother him.

“Well, I have a problem with some of, some of the tweets. As I said at my confirmation hearing, I think the essential role of the attorney general is to keep law enforcement, the criminal process sacrosanct to make sure there is no political interference in it. And I have done that and I will continue to do that,” said Bar.

“And I’m happy to say that, in fact the president has never asked me to do anything in a criminal case.”

I pray for wisdom for our President. Lord open his ears to receive the guiding of the Holy Spirit. Give him understanding of the difference in battling the enemy in the flesh versus the Spirit. Teach him how the enemy works and uses his words for their gain. Give him eyes to see the forces behind the behavior and give him revelation as in Eph. 6. Use the people around him that know You to bring knowledge to him.

I pray for Bill Barr and ask You to bring Godly advice and wisdom to him. May he understand what he is up against. May he understand the nature of this enemy and learn quickly to avoid the traps that will be set for him. May he understand the enormity of this battle and what is a stake. I pray You protect him physically from harm. May he continue to focus on his role as AG and understand exactly what he is to do.

Lord, this has been a long difficult struggle . We trust You to bring theses investigations to a close, and that justice will be served for the American people. Vindicate the innocent and may Your judgement fall on the guilty.

Know, Attorney General Barr, that we believe God has placed you in your position, and let no man overcome you through harassment, creating fear or doubt about your role. My ladies’ prayer group is praying faithfully for God’s protection, wisdom and discernment, perseverance, forgiveness, kindness, and self-control for many members in the political and public realm. The Lord clearly showed me that the healing of our nation must begin with the top leaders sitting down with guiding clergy to look each other in the eye and confess to, and forgive, one another. We are praying to the same God! But we let egos and pride get in the way of patience and civility. AG Barr, you are the man God chose to do the work of investigating and cleansing our judicial system. You focus; we’ll pray.

AG William Barr, a man of integrity, in spite of a bombardment of outside bullying and influences. May he remain strong in his character, convictions, and knowledge of all laws.
