I Prayed have prayed
Lord, we are heirs to the promises of Abraham — no longer Jew, Greek, slave, or free. Give us restoration, redemption, and relationship.
Reading Time: 3 minutes

So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together for good, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose (Romans 8:28 TPT).

Do we Christians genuinely believe that word?

Pray for your fellow intercessor.

If the answer is yes, then why has it proved so difficult for many of us to forgive the sins of the past toward us here in America? Why are so many of us who profess Yeshua still comfortable pursuing a social “justice” that is not rooted in righteousness and in God’s justice?

If the answer is yes, then wouldn’t our faith also mean that what satan intended for evil through our kidnapping, our enslavement, our history of unequal justice in America is all within God’s power — and plan — to work together for our good? Is it not true that God was not surprised by the plight of our ancestors, and that He had already planned the way of our escape and victory — even before the earth was created?

What can we do? What must we do?

First, let’s remember that our God-given assignments can stand only on the foundation of our complete forgiveness and release of all transgressors — past, present, and future. Our responsibility, our call, our gift from Yeshua includes allowing ourselves to be transformed by the renewing of our minds so that we can take hold of the blessings of God’s restoration for our families.  Rather than blatantly or latently supporting calls for the tearing down of America as an institution, or cheering the idea of “reparations” from some imaginary pot of gold, let’s take our stand in faith together.

For years, I have chosen to seek God’s answer to some questions. I encourage all believers to do the same, no matter what their ethnic ancestry. This process has often been ugly and fraught with things intended to discourage my pursuit, but God has been faithful. Some examples of the questions:

  1. Lord, what have You gifted me with through my ancestors’ experience that uniquely prepares me to live for You today? Awaken those things in me, and remove all the dross.
  2. Lord, how do I access the good from a painful past so that I may glorify You? Train my hands to war and to love through those dark places.
  3. Lord, what is it in our God-given plans that scares the devil so much that he has not taken his foot off of our throats?  What is our individual and collective assignment? Prepare me and my house to carry our mantles.
  4. Lord, what is Your heart toward me, toward my ancestry, and toward America?
  5. Lord, where is all the recompense and restoration Christ died to secure for me and my family in the land of the living, and how do I take hold of it?

I submit that America does not owe any of us anything. However, Satan’s kingdom does — and he must and will repay all that he has plundered or otherwise stolen!

Finally, let us stand united, believing that many have been made ready to receive and to do the perfect will of our Father. Psalm 133 says that the dew of Hermon, God’s commanded blessing, flows from believers dwelling together in unity. Together we can destroy the works of the Enemy in all the places of our assignment, lacking no good thing.

Share below your prayers for the redemption and unity of the Body and our nation in Jesus Christ.

Mavourene,
I appreciate the depth of your heart in this matter, and for calling out the enemy boldly.
I would like to hear more on this issue in regards to the Native Americans. I am not native, but have lived on a reservation teaching and working with Lakota children and their families for 45 years.
Some have been able to put the past hurts and trauma to rest, but many more hold on to generational trauma and a belief that if their land would be returned everything would get better.
Again, thank you for this writing.

It seems that when this nation and her future were consecrated to Father, then covenanted with Father, the adversary understood the uniqueness of the fledgling nation and lined up strategies to slow, thwart, block and redirect us in any direction but forward. Yet, Father never fails, and He won’t fail.
Father, give us a heart to forgive so that we can be forgiven that we would accomplish the destiny You laid out for us.
Matthew 6 14 For if you forgive others their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; 15 but if you do not forgive others their offenses, your heavenly Father will not forgive yours.
2 Chronicles 7
13 If I shut up the sky, so that there is no rain; or if I order locusts to devour the land; or if I send an epidemic of sickness among my people; 14 then, if my people, who bear my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face and turn from their evil ways, I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land.

Mavourine, this is a powerful statement of faith, and a Biblical approach to how to respond righteously to personal or corporate offenses – of which there are many! I just watched the prayer call, and Judy and Lori’s discussion about this article was so good!!
May we as the body of Christ apply the truth regarding forgiveness, and then demand that the ultimate source and initiator of the evil we have experienced, satan, pay back 7-fold what he has stolen and attempted to destroy. The true body of Christ rises above, but includes every nation, tribe, and tongue – every ethnicity. So may we come into the true unity of the faith, not some form of agreement based on compromise, but a unity that comes through aligning with the One True God, YHVH who is “echad” – One!

Multitudes, Many More have immigrated to America than brought over on slave ships!
Many came over as indentured servants, working to payback voyage over to America.

Voting DNC has destroyed;
Families (fatherless homes)
Cities (high crime & prison)
States (no borders & abortion)
Country (34 trillion in debt)
Borders (possibly, our Oct7)

FATHER, forgive us for the failure of what YOU DESIRE. YOUR Providence for America to be a “shinning city on a hill” To bring many to salvation IN YESHUA HAMACHIACH. We pray this IN HIS NAME AMEN AMEN

Thank you Lord that you paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Let’s not go back in history and try to re-write it. That is NONSENSE! God wants us to live in the present, not past, not future. Let us treat all of our fellow brothers with love. Reparations are divisive, just like Satan! Let us all fight evil. In Jesus Holy Name Amen.

This is a wonderful, empowering message that speaks to us all. I am in Canada, and we need to live in Him, seeking His purpose for our lives, but not before we forgive and reconcile. Thank you

The Passion Translation is not the bible and should not be presented as though it were.

Lord Jesus, thank You ffor Your goodness. Thank You that You use everything that I have experienced, even the painful experiences, to mold me into being totally immersed in You. Give me the wisdom and boldness to be Your ambassador to a lost and dying world. Thank you, Jesus.

This is a wonderful set of questions which I will put to use. Thank you!
Onward, Christian soldiers!

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus going on before!
Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe;
Forward into battle, see his banner go!
Refrain:
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus going on before!
2 At the sign of triumph Satan’s host doth flee;
On, then, Christian soldiers, on to victory!
Hell’s foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
Brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise! [Refrain]
3 Like a mighty army moves the church of God;
Brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod;
We are not divided; all one body we,
One in hope and doctrine, one in charity. [Refrain]
4 Onward, then, ye people, join our happy throng,
Blend with ours your voices in the triumph song;
Glory, laud, and honor, unto Christ the King;
This thro’ countless ages men and angels sing. [Refrain]
