Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron Fighting Hard to Get Abortion Ban Reinstated

Late Tuesday, the Kentucky Supreme Court denied a request by Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron to get the state’s abortion ban reinstated following the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
But the legal battle to protect babies from abortion is just beginning and Cameron says he will fight hard to protect unborn children.
The Kentucky Supreme Court late Tuesday denied the state attorney general’s emergency appeal to have the abortion ban reinstated after it was was blocked by a circuit court judge last week. The order was entered in the Supreme Court by Chief Justice John D. Minton Jr. on Tuesday night, stating Cameron’s emergency motion for immediate relief was denied.
Now that Cameron’s emergency request to have the ban be enforced has been denied, the lawsuit the state’s two abortion businesses filed agaisnt it will continue in earnest and Cameron says he will fight hard against it.
“The [state] Supreme Court’s decision to continue delaying enforcement of Kentucky’s Human Life Protection Act and Heartbeat Law is disappointing,” Cameron said Tuesday. “We will not be deterred in defending these important laws, and our team will make a strong case tomorrow in Jefferson Circuit Court to have the laws reinstated.”
