Father God, enlarge our understanding of You, Your Word, and Your patterns fulfilled in Christ. May our lives glorify You fully!

Have you ever wondered how the feasts of the Old Testament, the Feasts of the Lord, described in Leviticus 23, connect to our modern-day celebration of Easter, Resurrection Day, or Holy Week?

Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, “My father!” And he said, “Here I am, my son.” And he said, “Behold, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?” Abraham said, “God will provide for Himself the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” (Gen 22:7-8)

The next day he (John the Baptizer) saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (Jn 1:29)

We Gentile believers know by the Spirit that this time each year needs a solemn and a joyful commemoration, and that its significance gives hope to our cry of, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” Our very bodies and souls react in worship to our Jesus, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (Jn 1:29,36). His death, burial, and resurrection are the foundation and anchor for our assurance of salvation and eternal life. But do any other events that He took part in during the time leading up to His arrest, interrogation, crucifixion, burial, and resurrection reveal more fully the plan of God for our redemption and transformation? Let us look more closely at the tripartite Passover Feast.

The biblical feast called Passover is actually three overlapping feasts celebrated in the Spring of the year: the Feast of Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and of First Fruits (see Lev 23:4-8). Together they last 7 days, from the 14th to the 21st of the Hebrew month of Nisan. God’s calendar is not the one we use daily to organize our lives. His days begin at sundown (Gen 1:5,8) and with the first Passover described in Exodus 12, God instituted the Hebraic calendar that starts in the spring with the month of Nisan – the Passover month. It is a lunar calendar, and each new month begins with the new moon. Nisan is roughly equivalent to March-April on our Gregorian calendar.

In Exodus 12:1-15, God not only gives Moses a blueprint for how He will protect the Israelites from the final plague unleashed against their Egyptian taskmasters – the plague of the death of the firstborn — but He institutes the Passover as a memorial to Him that is to occur throughout all of their generations. It is to become for them an everlasting ordinance. In Leviticus 23:1-2, God reviews all His feasts and says this, “The Lord spoke to Moses saying, ‘Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, ‘These are the appointed feasts of the Lord and you shall proclaim them as holy convocations, they are MY appointed feasts.’”

The Hebrew word here for appointed is “moedim” which means appointment: God has appointed times to meet with His children. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to miss one of my appointments with God! We as Gentile believers tend to relegate these feasts seasons – there are three in the cycle of the year – to the Jewish people who celebrate them to this day. It is one way in which the Hebrew peoples have maintained their identity during the millennia of the diaspora. But God called these HIS feasts. It is interesting to note that after the birth of the church at Pentecost – another Jewish feast called Shavuot or Feast of Weeks – Jewish and Gentile believers celebrated all the feasts of the Lord for hundreds of years until the Roman emperor, Constantine – in an attempt to unify his empire – promoted Sunday worship as the day of Jesus’s resurrection, and outlawed both worship on the commanded sabbath day (Saturday) and the use of the biblical calendar for calculating Passover. He eventually replaced all of the Feasts of the Lord with liturgical holidays and Easter and Christmas. Daniel prophesied these events in Daniel 7:25, saying that rulers would arise and change God’s times and seasons.

This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year for you (biblical month of Nisan). On the tenth of this month every man shall take for himself a lamb – a lamb for a household. Your lamb shall be without blemish…now you shall keep it until the 14th of the same month then the whole house of Israel shall kill it at twilight. And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it. Eat the flesh that night roasted in fire and with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs shall they eat it. …For I shall pass through the land of Egypt on that night (15th day beginning at sundown) and strike down the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast: and against all of the Gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord. When I see the blood, I will PASS OVER you. So, this day shall be to you a memorial; and you shall keep it as a feast (moed) to the Lord throughout your generations. You shall keep it as a feast by an EVERLASTING ORDINANCE.” (Ex 12:1-14)

God gave very specific instruction to the Israelites as to how to celebrate the Passover feast. Each family was to pick a lamb on Nisan 10, ensuring that it was spotless and without blemish. They were to keep it until the 14th day of Nisan at which time they were to slaughter it at sundown and take some of the lamb’s blood using a hyssop branch and apply it to the doorposts and lintels of their homes. In this way, the Lord would see the blood on their homes and the angel of death sent to kill the firstborn of the Egyptian overlords would ‘pass them over’. (See Ex 12:11-13). They were then to hastily eat the lamb, roasted in its entirety, along with bitter herbs and unleavened bread (Hebrew word: matzah), wearing their traveling clothes, ready to depart Egypt.

After scouring their homes to remove all leaven, they were then to eat only matzah for 7 days from Nisan 14-21. This is the feast of Unleavened Bread.

Lastly, after entering the land He promised to them, they were to take a first sheaf from the barley harvest – a group of individual stalks bound together- and give it to the priest who would wave it before the Lord. As the priest did this, the harvest was consecrated to God. It is called the Feasts of First Fruits and it happens on the Sunday (first day of the Hebrew week) after the Passover (Lev 23:9-14).

These feasts of the LORD were dress rehearsals for events that would be fulfilled by God’s Passover Lamb, Jesus. In every detail, Jesus fulfilled all aspects of Passover, Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits.

Passover:

Jesus entered Jerusalem on the 10th day of the month, now called the Triumphal Entry and celebrated as Palm Sunday (Jn 12:12-13). This was the day the Passover lamb was brought into the city and set apart for inspection until the 14th. The very words that the crowd shouted were from Psalm 118, a psalm that the priests were praying in the temple that very day. Everything Jesus did this week would correspond to God’s calendar, and the events which had been repeated for centuries to foreshadow Him. As the Passover lamb – the animal – was being inspected for those 4 days, THE Passover Lamb – Jesus – was as well. He was questioned, examined, and cross-examined by the religious leaders who were trying to find a flaw in Him (Mt 21:23-27), but they could find no blemish – He was the Spotless Lamb. “For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.” (1 Pt 1:18-19) As He ascended the hill of Golgotha, carrying His cross, as Isaac had carried the wood for the sacrifice with his father Abraham, Jesus, the Lamb provided by God Himself, went willingly to death on the cross. The sinless Lamb of God slain for us from before the foundation of the world, His blood spilled that we might apply it to the doorposts of our lives, and hearts and so be saved from death (Rev 13:8).

The Jews prepared their chosen lambs for sacrifice at nine on the morning of the 14th, and then slaughtered them at three in the afternoon.  At this exact hour, Jesus was nailed to the cross (Mk 15:25). Then at three o’clock – the ninth hour – as people praised God and slaughtered their lambs, thanking God for their deliverance – Jesus breathed His last and gave up His Spirit (Mk 15:33-37). Not one of His bones was broken (Ex 12:46; Ps 34:20; Jn 19:36). Jesus’s body was taken down before 6 pm – the beginning of the next day – so that it might be fulfilled that ‘nothing was left until the next day’ (Ex 12:10).

Unleavened Bread:

Leaven became the symbol of our old life in slavery and bondage to sin. Jesus, the Bread of Life, had no leaven in Him (Jn 6:32-35). It was during this feast that Jesus went into the temple and tossed out the money lenders (Jn 2:13), removing all the leaven from His Father’s house. Jesus took on all of the leaven of our sin and was buried on the Feast of Unleavened Bread that had been celebrated for 1,500 years. In the same way that God had called the Hebrews out of Egypt to be a people set apart, consecrated unto Him, we are called to be set apart from the corrupt world system in which we live (1 Jn 2:15-17). Our sin separates us from God so the sinless One was made to be sin for us so that we can be made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Cor 5:21). As we partake of the meal we call communion, which is the Passover meal fulfilled, we eat the bread of His Body – the unleavened bread – and partake of the blood of the sinless Lamb poured out for us.

First Fruits:

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When you enter the land which I am going to give to you and reap its harvest, then you shall bring in the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest. He shall wave the sheaf before the Lord for you to be accepted; on the day after the sabbath the priest shall wave it” (Lev 23:9-12). This took place on the 18th of Nisan, the day after the Sabbath of Passover. The first fruits of the harvest was a representation of the whole harvest, and by presenting it to the LORD, it became a consecrated harvest. Jesus fulfilled this feast by rising from the dead on that day as a FIRSTFRUITS of the harvest of souls set apart to God. Jesus was the human sheaf who conquered death and purchased eternal life (Mt 28:1-6). He ascended to the Father to present Himself as the First Fruits offering at the exact time that the sheaves were being waved in the temple. Romans 11:16 says, “If the first fruits are holy, the lump is also holy; if the root is holy then so are the branches.” We died with Him – many human stalks in Him – so we will be raised with Him (Col 2:12; Rom 6:4-5) Hallelujah!

He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of all he created. (Jas 1:18)

So Why Is Passover Important for Us as Gentile Believers?

1. It is part of God’s plan of salvation for us: Apart from the Passover, God’s people would have died as slaves in Egypt. Without the blood of the Passover Lamb, there is no redemption of sin and no freedom to live for God. In this redemptive act, God secured forever our purchase as His children cleansed by the blood of His Son, the Lamb of God.
2. We are spiritually united to Israel: Romans 11:17 tells us that when we became born again by faith in His blood sacrifice, we were grafted in to Israel who is the root. Because we are grafted in to their root, we partake of all of the blessings as Abraham’s sons and daughters. Ephesians 2;12, 19 says that we were at one time ‘excluded from citizenship in Israel’ but now are ‘fellow citizens’ with them and partakers of the covenant, and the great and precious promises. We do not, as Gentiles, have a separate covenant. The ‘new covenant’ in His blood was initiated at the cross, but we had to have an old covenant in order to get a new one! Their Passover is our Passover.
3. God designed Passover as a celebration of Jesus: 1 Corinthians 5:7 tells us that Jesus is our ‘Passover Lamb.’ His beating, crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection could have taken place in any season but God instituted the Passover so that in Him our redemption is contiguous with redemptive history. The blood of the Lamb is applied, and the angel of death must also pass over us. Our lives are made without leaven so that we can live holy lives unto Him. His resurrection assures us that we too will be resurrected in the day that He returns to claim His throne in Jerusalem. Ah, but I get ahead of myself. That will be fulfilled during another feast altogether!

The Feasts of the Lord are /were not only commemorative but also prophetic. The fall feasts are key to our understanding the last days. Easter is like substituting a pig for the lamb (think Aniticus Epiphanies). The Jews eat lamb.. We Gentiles eat pig,, an affront to Jesus sacrifice! (Father, forgive us, for we don’t realize what we are doing!) The Gentile church needs to abandon Easter with its pagan origins and embrace the richness of Passover, uniting the whole church around the death, burial, and resurrection of Yeshua and anticipating His return to gather in the whole harvest (Matt. 24).

The Passover and its symbols are the Foundation of the Gospel with the Cross and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Some understand of the Rabbinical Traditions can help to understand some of the symbols of the Passover in order to apply them to the principals of the Gospel. Even understanding the counting of the Omer from the first day of Passover (Pesach) helps the Body of Christ to understand the Festival of Shavuot (Pentecost) which is a harvest holiday and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the Book of Acts Chapter 2.

I’ve been studying and learning about the Hebraic calendar . It’s a bit complicated and I realize that I missed First Fruits because of my misunderstanding . Truly a blessing God gives us HIS feasts and holidays to remind us who our savior Jesus Christ is in our lives .

My pastor, Chuck Pierce and teacher Robert Heidler, have indeed made this season of the year significant for me as an old, old believer still learning my benefits from holidays many consider Jewish.
Chuck made a significant statement: the devil loves it when believers pay attention t ion to Constantine ideas of removing Passover to concentrate on bunny rabbits and colored eggs instead of the Power inherent in the cross and the shed blood.
HE is Risen..Hallelujah. HE IS RISEN INDEED..

You are using the wrong calendar system. You are using the rabbinical Hillel II calendar which is a lunar calendar. The rabbinical Hillel calendar is not the ancient calendar of scripture. The rabbinical Hillel calendar was fixed in the 4th century AD by rabbi Hillel II after intense persecution from Constantine. The days on the rabbinical calendar begin in the evenings. The ancient calendar of scripture that God created in the beginning is a LUNISOLAR calendar and the days on HIS calendar begin in the morning, not at night.

Gen 1:5 ~ “And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.”

The first DAY was from morning to evening. The second DAY was from morning to evening, etc etc. The reason why God mentioned the evening first is because that is when he finished his work for that day. He worked on his creation from morning to evening for 6 days.

If the phrase “evening and morning” meant that a day begins in the evening then it also means a day ends in the morning which contradicts the rabbinical idea that a day is from evening to evening. But if a day begins in the evening when does night begin? Does night begin in the morning? If a day is from evening to morning then a night is from morning to evening.

* Exodus 18:13 ~”And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses sat to judge the
people: and the people stood by Moses from the morning unto the
evening.”

“on the morrow” = tomorrow, next day

So the next day Moses sat to judge the people from morning to evening.
The next day began in the morning, not in the evening. A new day does
not begin in the evening. If the next day began in the evening the
Bible would have said, “the people stood by Moses from evening to
evening.” But it does not say that.

* Exodus 16:23 says, “And he said unto them, This is that which the Lord
hath said, To morrow (the next day) is the rest of the holy sabbath
unto the Lord: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye
will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept
until the MORNING.”

God told the Israelites that when they cook their meals on the 6th day
of the week to save leftovers to eat on the Sabbath since no cooking
is allowed on the Sabbath and no manna fell on the Sabbath. Notice it
says TOMORROW MORNING is the Sabbath.

* The temple was closed at night and reopened each morning. Each new day sacrifices were made in the morning and then in the evening. After the evening had come, the temple was closed. If evening begins a new day then the temple would have been opened at night for the new sacrifices.

* John 20:19 ~ “Then the SAME DAY AT EVENING, being the first [day] of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace [be] unto you”

How can it be the same day of the week if a new day starts at evening? It would have said “at evening at the start of a new day”. But it doesn’t say that!

* Mark 15:42-43 proves that a new day does not begin in the evening. It
also proves that the Sabbath does not begin in the evening.

“And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that
is, THE DAY BEFORE THE SABBATH, Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable
counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went
in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.”

If the Sabbath started at sundown, then they were working on the
Sabbath. But these verses say that it was still the preparation day
(6th day of the week) which is the day BEFORE the Sabbath. Notice
that it was already evening but it was NOT a new day or the Sabbath.

* Mark 4:35 ~ “And the SAME DAY, when the EVEN WAS COME, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.”
If a day starts at evening, it would not say it was the SAME DAY.

The pagans believe a new day begins at mid-night and modern Israel
believes a new day begins at evening. Both are wrong.

Thank you.. Something to think about and explore. Consider this also; The preparation day was not for the weekly Sabbath, but for the special Sabbath Startin Passover week. Which means Yeshua was not crucified on Friday, but on Wed. Why Wed? Because the women waited until AFTER the Sabbath (high Sabbath) to purchase and prepare the spices (Mark 16), then kept the Sabbath (weekly Sabbath) before going to the tomb early on the First day of the week (Lk.23)–two Sabbaths. Work backwards— Sunday at the tomb–rested on the Sabbath–bought spices. Friday–Kept the Passover Sabbath, Thursday—Yeshua crucified on preparation day, Wednesday. Three days And THREE NIGHTS–sign of Jonah fulfilled

So, if Sunday was the 10th, then the 14th of Nissan was Thursday. Also, according to the Jewish Encyclopedia if the eve of Passover fell on a Friday the sacrfice was at 2 instead of 3 ; therefore, supporting Thursday afternoon as the eve of Passover when The Lamb was sacrificed. Sunday 10, Monday 11, Tuesday 12, Wednesday 13, Thursday 14 Prepartion day, Friday 15 Passover, a High Sabbath, Saturday 16 regular Sabbath, Sunday 17 Ressurection Day First Fruits. 3 full days & 3 full nights, risen before 6am.

Thanks be to God!! Used portions of this in our church’s Holy week observance tonight. 5 in attendance but a powerful move of Holy Spirit. Some weeping, some greater joy and true reverence – along with a promise from God that this is just the beginning of a Holy Spirit awakening in this all but dead congregation. O Lord our God we pray that You will continue to build us up in the most Holy faith by the power of the Holy Spirit. Let this just be the beginning of a great national awakening that will roll across the entire United States and beyond. For Your glory and in the beautiful name of Jesus Christ. Amen

As I read this my spirit was convicted. We should not follow the secular feasts… we should follow the Lords appointed feasts as it is written in His blessed Word! Why do we follow Constantine’s rules and NOT the appointed Feasts ? We are to be set apart. Please Lord let us follow your Word, Your Feasts at Your appointed times. Pierce our hearts Lord that we walk fully by the anointing of the blessed Holy Spirit. Help us to remove the generational curses and traditions of the world and follow ever Word in scripture… for You my Lord are the WORD!! In Yeshua’s mighty matchless Name we ask and pray. Amen

I thought I knew a lot about these 3 feasts and their fulfillment in the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus but this article filled in even more rich detail! Thank you, Lori!

Significant events in Jesus’ life always fell on feast days (by the Father’s design). So on what feast day was Jesus born? Obviously not Christmas–that is not a Jewish holiday and His birth was artificially ascribed to that date by Constantine for his own purposes.

As I have researched this, I’ve been intrigued by the likelihood–I consider it a certainty– that he was born on Sukkot, also called the Feast of Tabernacles/Booth, which is in autumn. After all, He came to “tabernacle” with us temporarily. Type “Happy Birthday, Jesus” into your browser and see some interesting websites citing evidences for this.

On my own website, I have posted many of these evidences under this title (Happy Birthday, Jesus): https://hiddeninjesus.wordpress.com/2017/10/04/feast-of-sukkot-happy-birthday-jesus/ .

This sounds confusing, and needs a note that explains the time frame “hours” “Then at three o’clock – the ninth hour – …..” AND “Jesus’s body was taken down before 6 pm – the beginning of the next day….”
Thank You

The Jews prepared their chosen lambs for sacrifice at nine on the morning of the 14th, and then slaughtered them at three in the afternoon. At this exact hour, Jesus was nailed to the cross (Mk 15:25). Then at three o’clock – the ninth hour – as people praised God and slaughtered their lambs, thanking God for their deliverance – Jesus breathed His last and gave up His Spirit (Mk 15:33-37). Not one of His bones was broken (Ex 12:46; Ps 34:20; Jn 19:36). Jesus’s body was taken down before 6 pm – the beginning of the next day – so that it might be fulfilled that ‘nothing was left until the next day’

I’ll give a try at the explanation.
With the Jewish colander the day starts at 6pm on sundown.
(The difference is we start our day at 12:01 am.)
So in he Jewish colander 9pm is the 3rd hour. And so forth. Just do the math.
    And that is the difference.
    I hope this helps.

David, your reasoning according to the scripture makes sense. The purpose for breaking the thieves legs was to get the bodies down before the High Sabbath and Passover which started at sundown. That day of preparation was our Wednesday. The weekly Sabbath was four days later—then the resurrection.

The Bible is one book, seamless between Old Testament and New Testament, everything connected – the new a fulfillment of the old. There is such beauty and deep meaning in all the connections and the imagery – Jesus is the fulfillment of every prophesy, of every promise. This article showed me new connections, like Isaac carrying the wood just as Jesus carried His cross. see post “meaningful meals – Communion and Passover” at http://www.mtothe5th.wordpress.com

As a Jewish believer, I know that if Yeshua isn’t the messiah of the Jews, He’s nobody’s messiah. The reason I celebrate the Feasts isn’t because I believe that I have to, which I don’t, but because it’s God’s way of drawing us into His glorious story, year after year, decade after decade and onward through the millennia. When we freely choose to keep close to His biblical timing, He pours out revelation and blessings. But the best part of keeping to His timing with the Feasts is that the timing of their beat is set from His own heart. Draw close to Him and He will run to you. Sit at His table and hear Him tell you a story, one you thought you knew, yet He tells it each year and makes it new.

Go to a messianic Seder this year. Do yourself a favor. It’s time to sit down with Abba and hear Him again.

Our Savior Lord Jesus Christ (Adonai Yeshua Messiah) met for the 2nd or 3rd time (depending on how you read the gospels) with the disciples and instituted Passover 2.0 supporting an annual Passover yet recognizing a passover every time after a meal you choose to. For a long time I celebrated it (30+yrs) as The Lords Supper within last decade I began to truly celebrate it as Passover, ultimately declaring it 2.0

I greatly appreciated your article about Passover because it is unscriptural to refer to Jesus’ sacrifice & resurrection as Easter, which is a pagan festival. Things that syncretize Christianity with paganism promote the rise of the antichrist. I’ve been referring to Jesus’ resurrection as First Fruits for years because of my disgust at syncretizing Christianity with paganism. Easter is the name of the Teutonic goddess of fertility, which is symbolized by a rabbit. We eat lamb at this time of the year instead of eggs.

So true that all of the Old Testament points to Christ. I appreciate the article, but wish that we would not make a distinction between Jewish believers and Gentile believers. As Galatians 3:28 “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” We certainly all have various heritages and lineages, gender and socioeconomic status in this physical life. However, regarding our Christian standing in the eyes of God, all believers are the Israel of God (Gal 6:16).

We have gained so much from celebrating the Passover for the past several years. It is a beautiful revelation of Christ, the Passover Lamb..the symbolism is absolutely beautiful! Every believer should understand the feasts of the Lord!

This is a well-written, excellent article. It ties the Old Testament, which is a type of foreshadowing of what is to come, with the New Testament. Blood and sacrifice are the common threads. Thank You, Jesus, for shedding Your blood to forgive ALL my sin!

Thank you, dear sister, for such a perfectly articulated article on the Prophetic Feasts of the LORD! HalleluYAH! The Holy Spirit prompted me to study the Feasts of the Lord in 2019. I have been astounded and greatly humbled by the massive illumination of Holy Scripture which comes when we obey and pause from our normal schedules, and meet with the Lord during His Appointed Times–His Holy Dress Rehearsals. Such incredible blessings, peace, providence and wisdom are available to us via HIS FEASTS! My mind was blown away when I realized that the Gregorian calendar begins the year with a pagan god, Janus, in the cold of winter, and YHWH begins our Biblical year in the Spring, a time of rebirth, with the Salvation offered via the Spotless Lamb of God–Our “Yeshuati” (Jesus Our Salvation)! Who is like Our God? NO ONE! I truly believe that those who gain the understanding of His Ways via His Feasts will be the 5 Wise Virgins, whose lamps were trimmed, had sufficient oil and were prepared for Our Faithful Bridegroom, the Coming KING of kings, LORD of lords, The Lion of the Tribe of Judah and The KING OF RIGHTEOUSNESS! (Baruch Habba B’shem Adonai, Yeshua! Hoshiana! BO YESHUA! Maranatha!)
As we pray and serve “let us get rid of the old yeast, so that we may be a new unleavened batch–as we really are. For Christ, Our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed. Therefore, let us KEEP the FESTIVAL, not with the old bread leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth”. (1 Cor 5:-7-8)
I can almost see Jesus (Yeshua), smiling in Heaven as The Body of Messiah celebrates Passover, both Messianic Jews and Christian believers, as one new man–spiritually– in UNITY! What a pleasing “fragrance” before The Throne! May Our Great High Priest “say the Word in Heaven, giving the command” to send forth the Holy Spirit powerfully this year! During the Passover Meal and in dreams, visions and visitations may He remove veils and scales and confusion in Jews and Gentiles alike as we remember Our Magnificent Messiah during Passover! This is my fervent prayer this week, in Jesus’ Name! Amen! (PS: I am so thankful to find some like-minded brothers and sisters!)

Thank you for perfectly expressing my thoughts and experience as I have been called to worship at a Messianic congregation that has taught us the truth and richness of the Whole Word and the precious gift of celebrating the feasts. Oh that the Church would awaken to this monumental truth.

God didn’t give us the law and the feast so we would relegate them to ritual and form, but to draw us ever closer to Himself, to permit us to respond to His great love for us and hunger for Him with all that is within us. These amazing feasts draw us into His “secret place” protected, under His “wing” (Psm 91: 1,4) When we are under His shadow, we live under the open windows of heaven as favored sons and daughters.

Thank you for this. It is good to see the gentile portion of the body of Messiah awakening to the truth about the feast and the importance as believers to celebrate and honor them as our creator wanted. As you said in your article the early church observed the feast including our Messiah. GOD is opening the eyes of his gentile portion of his body today to this truth and to come out of Babylon’s world system and holidays that are pagan in their origin. My eyes were opened to this about 7 years ago to keep the feast and the sabbath. It is not easy going against tradition in Christianity. I pray more gentile believer come to the knowledge of the truth that their roots are Hebraic and not Greek in Messiah.

I learned a lot through Hebrew Nation radio here in Salem Oregon.

The irony of the pulpit preachers teaching what seminaries taught them that we can’t know when Passover is, instead to be don’t teach the passover, teach the rapture.

As I have celebrated being released to lead M&L street corner Church from Market & Lancaster in Salem Oregon on October 1, 2006 a week before the Amish school massacre. Having preached 373 messages and countless honk surveys to get people to witness to one another about their faith or lack there of. I’ve seen miracles…

Some of my minstry on my YouTube channel floraspec.

Over the last couple of decades I transitioned away from Communion (Catholic) to the Lord’s Supper. The last few years I transitioned to what it really is, Passover 2.0, at the end of the Great Tribulation we now live in, I suppose a few will celebrate Passover 3.0

The foundation of our Salvation comes from the Hebrew Scriptures fulfilled In Jesus Christ (Yeshua Hamashiach). The Body of Christ is built upon the foundation of Israel. That Covenant with Israel is Still in effect even into the last days as at least a remnant of those Jewish People will come to know Jesus as the Messiah as I have many years ago. You cannot dismiss Israel from its ancient promises due to the New Covenant giving even more meaning to Pesach and Shavuot in a much greater dimension.

Jews were not allowed to use any of their new crop until the first sheaf of the harvest was waived before the Lord. No baking of bread, no feeding it to animals.

This is the reason Jesus would not allow Mary to cling to Him, to draw virtue from Him, until He had first ascended to the Father. He demonstrated His obedience to His Father after having vanquished Satan and taken Satan’s dominion from him. He did nothing unless the Father gave it to Him to do.

Thanksgiving to You, Almighty God and Father of our Lord Jesus, for Your institutions of feasts to magnify and glorify Your Name among Your people – those of us who belong to Your flock. Thank You for Jesus Christ, the Authot and Finisher of our faith, and Your Holy Spirit, Who applies all these truths to our hearts as we walk our the great salvation You have wrought in us and through us! Help me to magnify You during these days in personal introspection, that I may glorify You at my work and in my home and in my faith family.
Be magnified, O Lord – You are highly exalted and I lift my hands, voice and praise to You this day in thanks and Praise of Who You are!
