I Prayed have prayed
Lord God, we pray that the Church will raise her voice in unity and build a wall of defence around Ukraine (see Nehemiah), and that there will be no war.

This article was written by the leaders of Intercessors for Ukraine. These prayer leaders who are from Ukraine, and live in Ukraine, shared these prayer points on the conflict in Ukraine. This is also a great brief explanation of the background and reasons for the conflict. We are grateful that these fellow believers in Ukraine would share wisdom and discernment with us. Will you commit to pray? Please share these insider insights with others who want accurate information with spiritual understanding.

The brutal plans of Russian invasion are not God’s will and the Lord can avert tragedy by the prayer of the saints.

The world media daily report disturbing news from Ukraine – some reports are true, other are exaggerated. If you look at the historical context, Russia’s behaviour becomes clear.

For many centuries, Russia tried to conquer Ukrainian lands. Sometimes it succeeded. When Ukraine gained independence 30 years ago, the Russian leadership did not like it. Putin constantly tried to return Ukraine to Russian control, to revive the Soviet Union. We are dealing with the evil imperial spirit here.

Even today in Russia we see the persecution of believers. Some religious organizations have been declared terrorists (as it was in Soviet times). However, there is full religious freedom in Ukraine — Christians can preach the Gospel and gather together.

Believers of Ukraine are standing in the gap for their land praying. Christians believe that Goliath, who rose from Russia, will be overthrown by the Ukrainian David, who trusts in God.

We ask all believers in U.S. churches to pray with us and for us. Today’s life in Ukraine is normal: children go to school, shops are open, there is no panic, chaos, but fear envelops the hearts of Ukrainians when they hear the news of possible attacks by Russia.

We would like to thank IFA for their support in raising an army of prayer intercessors in Ukraine for a time like this.

The answer to these external challenges must be the awakening of the Church of Ukraine and raising of the army of prayer warriors. We believe that war is not God’s will, and the Lord can avert this tragedy. Today the U.S. and Russian media emphasize the inevitability of the invasion. But we know if the church wins this battle in the heavenlies, there will be no military conflict. If the Church raises her voice in unity and builds a wall of defence around Ukraine (see Nehemiah), there will be no war. We need the unity of the Body of Christ and the awakening to prayer and evangelism.

Let’s be praying and declaring together:

– God, we repent for all the sins of our people; forgive us, heal our land, and stand for us;

– Pray for those in authority — no fear, no love of mammon, but the wisdom of God;

– Pray for the military, doctors, teachers, all Ukrainians;

– Pray for the Church in Ukraine to be awakened and become a blessing for the seven nations around it.

– No military invasion.

Please share these insider insights with other praying Christians!

We can challenge the Word with our circumstanes or challenge our circumstances with the Word.

Praise God for both Intercessors for America and Intercessors for Ukraine.

O Lord we praise you! Because you are in our lives and the lives or your people!
We praise you! Keep us steadfast!

“Seek ye the Lord while He maybe found, call ye upon Him while He is near: Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him: and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higer then the earth, so are my ways higher then your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

For as the rain cometh down and the snow from heaven and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater:

So shall my Word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

For ye shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the tree’s of the field shall clap their hands.”

I pray against the spirit of fear in the Ukrainian believers and I pray for the Spirit of Courage to envelope them to beable to love.

To give a reason for the Hope that is in them.

Praying for Ukraine that God would have mercy and hear and answer the prayers of the saints in Ukraine and the prayers of the church of God worldwide for Ukraine as a nation and people who love God. Praying especially for the young people in the military that Europe and the US would support them. Praying for the children who are growing up withthe trauma and deprivation of war around them. Praying for people of Ukraine who have suffered so much over the years, have mercy O Lord and heal their land. But mostly I pray that God himself will arise and defend his people and fight for them, miraculously defeating the enemy. Joshua 10 v10-12 and that the enemy woudl fall into confusion and become paralized and unable to do what they had planed.
Let the holy angels and archangels defend the nation of Ukraine. IJMN we pray.

We Christians in America are also very concerned about the continuing safety and national security of your beloved country, the Ukraine! My prayer is that our Heavenly Father – Almighty God Himself- will come against ALL evil that would even think of trying to invade your land!! That your peace and well-being shall CONTINUE, and that all believers there will unify in prayer, building a mighty spiritual wall around your land, as Nehemiah built the physical wall around Jerusalem!! In the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!! Praise be to His Name!

We are not Israel or Spiritual Israel, Christ Jesus has paid for every sin an individual has done and will do in the future. God is forming the body of Christ until the fullness of the Gentiles come in. (Romans 11:25) You are taking scripture out of context, we are not under the law but under Grace, Romans 6:14, KJV. Repent is not confess it is a change of direction, God is not dealing with nations but individuals Jews, Gentiles, Male, Female, bond or free.. what do you want Christ to go back to the cross because of the weak flesh and temptation of the adversary. But we are sinners saved by grace by his blood on that cross. 1 Corth 15:1-4 our Gospel today!the death, burial and resurrection believe it from your soul, because your heart is desperately wicked who can know it. The flesh has to die everyday.
I do pray for this country Ukraine and Russia that many may be saved by the Grace of God.

We adopted one son from Russia and one son from Ukraine, and we met so many wonderful people in both countries. Father God, I ask that your amazing love that brought our family together bring the peoples of these two countries together as part of one body in our Lord Jesus Christ! Thwart the schemes of the enemy that seek to destroy and fill their hearts and land with your Spirit of Peace, and may all hands be lifted in praise to your holy throne of grace! In Jesus’ precious name, Amen

I am praying for the Ukraine and it’s people that they would live in peace and safety. That they would be free to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and practice their faith without any threats. I pray that every wicked scheme of the enemy would be arrested and not be able to continue with threats against the people of Ukraine. I join with all those who are praying at this time that the Ukraine would remain free from Soviet interference and oppression. I pray that the people of Ukraine would keep their eyes on Jesus and not live in fear. In Jesus Name. Amen

Lord we stand in agreement with the Ukraine intercessors and ask for Your wall of protection to be placed around the nation of Ukraine. Where there is talk of war, let peace become the norm. Where there is talk of invasion, let restraint become the prevailing mindset. Protect the people of Ukraine and cause your angels to stand in defense of the nation. Give great wisdom to the leaders of both nations. Cause a spirit of peace to settle over the entire region. In your name we pray Amen

Lord we ask your Almighty army of Angels, surround Ukraine, keeping her and her peoples safe and secure. This is a land of freedom in the midst of a former Soviet Sea…we ask for Ukraine to be a continued beacon of light, and blessing to those who seek refuge and freedom there. Missionaries have planted many seeds there, my sister was one of those missionaries,,,We ask that the churches planted grow stronger and more robust at this time. Replace fear with faith and courage that You are indeed with them in the trial. You see the Giants that surround them, but you have already Overcome. May the Sun Stand Still until the enemy armies retreat. We pray Your will be done, In Jesus name, Amen

The God of Israel is alive.Russia trust in there weapons of destruction, but we the Ukrainian trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Creator of heaven and Earth. Russian will panic in fear and we will overcome them. One with the Lord is more than weapons of destruction.

May the Lord of Hosts surround the Russian troops and their allies, hemming them in where they are and preventing them from moving into Ukraine. May He put up a wall of protection at the Ukrainian border that will be as a flaming barrier of protection. May the Ukrainian church see what the Lord is doing in the Heavenlies and take heart. The Lord laughs from His Holy Mountain at the plots the enemy conspires. He will turn the enemy’s plots back against them. He will bless those who call upon His Name. Yes, we join in prayer for people of Ukraine, praying for their protection and deliverance from evil and for a great awakening of the church there as well as here and all over the world, bringing a worldwide revival!! Remembering how in Israel’s history, as people sought God and prayed and God answered, and then as army went out with praise team leading the way, and God set up ambushes against the enemy and thwarted enemy’s plans, may it be so, there and here!

1973 i was in Kiev as a tourist(ussr just opened to foreigners) as we passed one of the Churches , i saw for the first time a. State run Church with people traveling in prayer. Crying out to God. Literally crying. I was in awe. Loving God my self but not walking with Him at the time this scene touched me, that even the cold State run Church could not keep people from God! When we walked out 2 women said they were praying for us. At that moment God Pierced my heart and revealed Himself that indeed He existed and He was there! 2 years later I gave my life to Christ in New York!
I have always have a personal love for the Ukraine and Kiev over all these years. And I am thrilled you have raised up Intercessors forUkraine! My heart just fills with Joy at the thought. And I knew then that it was not long before that communist hold would have to let go. They did.!
So I am joyful to read your testimony of Joy and Peace over there. As I know for sure, God is with you!

I’m afraid, but I am not fully convinced of your way of seeing the situation.
As for your claim No. 1: Russia has not, for centuries, tried to conquer Ukrainian land. Ukraine WAS the first Russia, the Kievskaya Rus’ – which was the origin of the name ‘RUSsia’ (land of the “OURsmen: Vikings), and bekace the origin of Russian language, history and culture.
Then, both, Southern Kiev Rus and Northern Rus were occupied: from Astrakhan to Tver by Mongols, all South of Kiev by Turks and Poles/Lithuanians.
The North then liberated itself under Ivan (I call him Veliki), and soon after, Kiev and the Borderland (Y – kraya) was liberated and united.
In all this timeframe, I cannot see any of your wild accusations of “conquest”.
What followed with Hetman Chmelnizki (I know, he was from Zaporozhe, but sounds quite Polish to me) was a personal Chiefdom, and Stenka Razin’s claim of Gosudarvstvo was no in any way a claim of “Nationhood”. These two were regional robber kings.
So, the first time the “Borderland” really claimed “STATEHOOD” was under the command of Fieldmarshal Eichhorn and the Hetman, after the German-Soviet Brest-Litovsk truce. And the same happened, again, in World War II with NAZI occupation – and Bandera’s! Neither were honorable “nation-founders”. Together, the murdered Jews and Poles in West-Ukraine (Lvov), Jews and Russians in the East. And that is why I cannot accept a Government that decorates all Kiev with Holocaust-Bandera’s portrait.
It’s just another occupation, this time stared by Obama and “His Yats” (Obama’s Ms. Nuland called him “Our Yats”), and Mr. Paruby, of course, and Mr. Parasyuk and his sharp-shooters of the Maidan.
Let me be clear: I loved Kiev and the Khreshchatik down to the Dnepr (lovely clean it was then, and I swam) and the Pecherskaya Lavra and the “Red University”- but most, the Vlasimisky Sobor (the Sophyiskt “togda, nye rabotal”) and the service in memory of St. Vladimir and Olga to the 1000 years of ‘Russian Christiananization’. A glorious mini-choir: only seven voices – but like an enormous force! Great!
In spite of Soviet power, it was working: A small but essential and real believing Christian community.
That was the One Eastern Orthodox Church that it had become, after the fall of Constantinopel, when the Caesar became Tsar and the Patriarch of Moscow the Head of Eastern Christianity. Somehow, that seems right – it’s not the Church of Russia.
Churches that become and feel Nationalist are not Christian churches anymore but political party tools.
I loved the church and the belief I saw then – and still love it – but I’m not sure of the surroundings.

With all due respect, the Ukrainian people have suffered greatly at the hands of Russia. Our driver in Kyiv spoke at length about his country’s experiences with Russia. Let’s never forget the horrific Holodomor of the 1930’s. The Ukrainian people are a distinct and proud people who want to retain their nation’s identity and sovereignty.

What gets me , is , why telegraph what you are going to do? That is what the current administration is doing-just like the inept previous Democrat administration did repeatedly. Also, why can’t they safely remove Americans who are in Ukraine? More inept nonsense. Rather than make such a statement, why not just do it???? These clowns like to create a crisis. Smells a lot like our response in Afghanistan.

Russia and Ukraine have been Christian since the year 988 when Vladimir baptized the land. The Orthodox Church has been the church in both for over 1000 years. Religious education by “evangelical Christians” is not needed or welcome there, and the two countries have adopted laws and constitutions that reflect that.
The west could learn much about Christianity from the Orthodox East rather than trying to continually portray the east as an uncultured, irreligious gang of invaders.

We must all determine to remain teachable and learn our country’s real history, events who, what, where, when; the good and bad, not educators and philosophers opinions of what occurred.. Then we can see there is one race, the human race, since this word is used, created in the likeness of the one true God. May your soul wounds be healed and may you see all offenses were taken to the cross of Jesus Christ to set us free to release the perfect love of God against the very subject of the email. The Blood of Jesus Christ never will lose power and those redeemed have no right to be offended. He took it all. Grace to you.

Father, You are showing all of us that freedom is what we truly covet and actually need to lead a successful life in You. You made us to be free to be able to follow the righteous paths you lead us down. With reference to the prayer mentioned above about refusing mammon, Job 22:24-26 in the Amp reads: If you lay gold in the dust and the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brook [considering them of little worth] and make the Almighty your gold and the Lord your precious silver treasure, then you will have delight in the Almighty and you will lift up your face to God.
