Federal Department of Education releases more than $ 900 million for schools in Puerto Rico

The federal Department of Education announced this afternoon the approval of the plan presented by the Puerto Rico Department of Education for the use of some $ 3,000 million in federal funds allocated for the management of the coronavirus pandemic , approval that entails the release of $ 990 million to those that the local agency until now had not had access to. Puerto Rico has already received $ 1,977 million of the $ 2,968 million allocated through the federal law of the American Rescue Plan (ARP), which is equivalent to two-thirds of the allocation.
