CHRIS WALLACE’S STRUGGLES DURING FIRST DEBATE
Chris Wallace of Fox News declared his goal as the evening’s moderator: “My job is to be as invisible as possible.” . . .
With. . . President Trump relentlessly interrupting his opponent, Joseph R. Biden Jr., Mr. Wallace struggled to keep the proceedings coherent, reduced at times to pleading with the president to pause and allow the Democratic presidential nominee to speak.
“Mr. President, I am the moderator of this debate, and I would like you to let me ask my question and then you can answer it,” Mr. Wallace, sounding more headmaster than moderator, instructed Mr. Trump early on.
Known for his sharp interrogations of political figures, Mr. Wallace — the veteran Fox News anchor who at 72 was the youngest of the three men onstage — succeeded in keeping Mr. Trump more or less in check during his first go-round as moderator four years ago, when pundits declared him a clear winner of the night.
On Tuesday, Mr. Wallace was facing harsher notices, as viewers assessed his performance on social media. . . .
Editor’s Note: At one point, Wallace was even yelling to quite the candidates. So President Trump responded by saying:
“I guess I’m debating you, not him, but that’s OK, I’m not surprised,” Mr. Trump said after one Wallace query he disliked.
Mr. Wallace did something unusual for a presidential moderator: He effectively called the debate to a temporary halt. . . .
Editor’s Note: He asked the candidates to allow one another to speak without interruptions so that the “country would be better served.” . . .
It was a far cry from Mr. Wallace’s stated goal for the debate. “I’m trying to get them to engage, to focus on the key issues, to give people at home a sense of ‘why I want to vote for one versus the other,’” he had said beforehand.

Please allow Chris Wallace to know You, God so that he knows how to live his life. In Jesus name. Amen.
I definitely considered Chris Wallace biased against President Trump. He brought up questions for Trump that should have never been asked. He called the president out several times because of his behavior, but never Biden who was also disruptive and even called the President of the United States a clown. Chris Wallace was a poor moderator – a very poor choice.
Mr. Wallace’s statements on his goals as moderator – On the farm we would just reply ‘Bull Pucky’- He had an agenda. I thought Fox News was supposed to be a pretty honest station.
I FEEL THAT WALLACE WAS HAEDWE ON TRUM THAN BIDEN, HE ASKED BIDEN QUESTIONS ON WHAT HE WOULD DO, HE SEEMED TO BE HARDER ON TRUMP EVEN WHEN THEY WERE YELING AT EACH OTHER. TO ME , HE WAS VERY BIASED IN BIDENS SIDE, SAD BUT HE WASN’T A GOOD MODERATOR .
I thought Wallace was biased. It was clear to me he favored Biden. He was not fair and balanced in my opinion. It has to be so frustrating for our President to hear all the lies about him and not be able to speak. I pray God will quiet our President with His love and peace and our President Trump will seek God’s wisdom in what to say and when to be quiet and let God vindicate him. May our Precious Lord bless our President Trump with restored health, enable him to do Your will Lord and succeed in helping to lead our country back to Your godly principles as we Christians
humble ourselves and pray and turn from our wicked ways and seek You our Wonderful, Merciful, Savior. You Father God are mighty to save, we LOVE YOU LORD!!!💕🙏
