WORSHIP: 40 CHURCHES GATHER TOGETHER TO WORSHIP AT HUNTINGTON BEACH
At Huntington Beach, 40 churches have been coming together since they were closed down. Friday over 2,000 people showed up and as the cops tried to stop it, the people started worshipping even louder. Such an amazing video🙏🏼💕 @realDonaldTrump @POTUS #GodWins #HuntingtonBeach pic.twitter.com/N4tI01DjTY

And while we are praising God for our freedoms, let us not forget our brothers and sisters in other countries who are being persecuted for their faith. If they were asked, I am sure they would love to be able to worship God in their homes. They can’t. We can. Their churches are being burned to the ground. Ours aren’t. Their family members are turning them in to the authorities for being Christians. Ours don’t. “All things are lawful for me, but not all things are expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.”
(1 Corinthians 10:23). “Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.” (Hebrews 13:3). They never recanted. We, in America, have it made. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
In the Old Testament, the righteous kings would go before the LORD and ask if they should go to battle with the other countries that were challenging them. The LORD always won the battles for them. Some didn’t even have to fight. God gave strict instructions as how to fight. I like the fact that He would send the Levites first with worship, music. We have the same instructions! Our melody is our weapon!! Let God arise and our enemies be scattered!!
I love their boldness. May others rise up and declare that Jesus is Lord over their city. Praise confuses the enemy that is why he wants to intimidate (bully) Christian’s to stay isolated and silent.
We stand with our brothers and sisters in Huntiton, CA
Let the churches unite, the people praise God & those that don’t know Jesus come to know him now-As God told Joshua “Be strong & courageous. Do not be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go”.
It’s a conundrum; a complicated problem.
Exodus 20:8 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.
And:
Romans 13: All of you must obey those who rule over you.
There are no authorities except the ones God has chosen.
Those who now rule have been chosen by God.
2 So whoever opposes the authorities opposes leaders whom God has appointed.
Those who do that will be judged.

I would think that each of us individually should seek The LORD and ask HIM what HE want each of us personally to do–
Can we in all in good conscience honor GOD by disobeying the clear teaching of Romans 13?
That is the question.
When the apostle Paul was brought before the governing authorities and told not to preach Jesus, he boldly declared he would obey God rather than man and the gospel continued to go forth. We obey those in authority for our protection, but not when those authorities go against the word or the will of God. When those in authority try and stop God’s people from freely worshiping Him or preaching the gospel, or doing the works that Jesus did, I believe we draw the line there. I think the important thing is that we repent for ourselves and our nation and do it with a humble heart and not one of rebellion. You are correct…we need to seek the Holy Spirit until we have His peace about all this. May God give us wisdom and fearless boldness to obey Him at all cost so the Kingdom of God can advance and He may be glorified on earth as He is in heaven!
I think the difference is, unlike the Apostle Paul, we are not being told to stop preaching The LORD JESUS CHRIST; rather we are being told not to gather together in large numbers to avoid infecting one another with the virus. The scripture does tell us that “A wise man sees trouble coming and avoids it.” We are not to be presumptuous and expect GOD to protect us when we haven’t even consulted Him about what HE wants each of us individually to do.
Ahh, but we are being told to stop preaching the Word; singing, praising our Lord, out-loud prayers for all in vicinity to hear is definitely preaching His Glory. ..remember the.jail scene where even the jailer was saved? A big difference in when the only ones being silenced are those speaking out for Him who died for them. I would also suggest that perhaps these worshippers Did in fact consult God on what avenue they should take. Which of us can be ‘presumptuous’ enough to tell another what God wants of that particular individual? I’d want to avoid any of that part of God’s wrath. ..that is the trouble I’d want to avoid.
You seem to be assuming that the people at the beach didn’t individually seek the Lord as to what they should do. I’m going to assume that each of these worshippers certainly did, or it’s the very least considered the potential ramifications before participating. I doubt that anyone was cavalier in their decision to join the other Christians down there. (BTW, in a metro area that exceeds 13 million, the number of people gathering at HB is a relatively small group.)
You’re right in that, at least so far, nobody has been commanded not to preach the gospel. But the California order has attempted to control the manner in which Christians worship. This is outside of the state’s jurisdiction, both biblically and constitutionally. Several churches are now in a legal battle with California over these draconian orders, the largest of which is Grace Community Church pastored by John MacArthur. Their public statement of their scripturally based position can be found here: https://www.gracechurch.org/news/posts/1988
There are mature believers who recognize the necessity of being cautious and seeking God for His wisdom before taking action, and then there are the new young Believers who are full of wonderful enthusiasm but sometimes lack discernment as did I so many years ago. I don’t live in California and was not aware of the situation there, so thank you for that link.
2 TIM 1:7… “For I did not give you a spirit of FEAR, but of POWER, LOVE and SOUND MIND.” It is incumbent for each believer to LEAN INTO THE LORD, DISCERN via James 1:5-9 and act accordingly. Those individuals on the beach have FAITH AND BELIEVE the LORD’s promise of PSALM 91. Galations 2:20 talks about the sin of apostasy being the individual who truly doesn’t know the Lord as when pressed they renounce their faith in the Lord. When you’ve been crucified with Christ and it is Christ that lives within you…. well, it’s pretty obvious that your fear of the Lord is much stronger than any fear of man or anything that comes from man.
My question was simply how do we honor GOD and obey those who have the rule over us at the same time. It was not a question of faith vs. fear.
My conclusion now is that we pray and ask GOD what to do, and then simply do that and leave all the consequences to Him.
I heard in California you can’t sing, what a bad joke. The singers should be in the front line of battle just like the Old Testament singers were. I read a church memo in Michigan, that encouraged masks even when singing, to have a muffled praise. The praise team could have their masks off behind a screen. The screen was a clear plastic plate attached to a music stand. I thought the Michigan protocol was to wear a mask and take it off when worshiping, so I will stick to that. The sermon person can have their mask off while speaking. Maybe the whole service can be singing, therefore we can have our masks off!
Father we thank you for each one of these believers who choose worshiping you over the fear of man! Bless them for their testimony and witness. May they give every Christian in America a moment of self reflection and courage to do the same. May we be always choose Jesus!
Thank you Jesusthat are being praised. No one can stop us from worshiping you. We need to make s choice God or man. I choose you Lord!
