We are so pleased to share with you about the March for Jesus. Months ago, plans were made for a celebration of united praise called March for Jesus, inviting and involving Christians from the entire body of Christ to an open procession of celebratory worship and prayer glorifying Jesus Christ on May 30, 2020, in communities across America.

PraiseWalk: Glorify Christ and Pray for the Community

Since the Covid-19 crisis has brought different kinds of restrictions upon mass gatherings, plans have been modified for May 30th of 2020. Instead of large processions, we are encouraging smaller groups, as small as two or three, to scatter in their communities praising and praying as they walk, drive or even stand in their homes or their front yards. We’ve called this format of praise and prayer a “PraiseWalk,” after the well-known idea of prayer walking, which is simply praying near the very places we expect to see God answer our prayers. The PraiseWalk model highlights praise and thanksgiving but also encourages participants to pray for Christ’s blessing upon the people, families, schools, businesses, and government leaders of their communities.

Encouraging Creative Ways to Exalt Christ Together

Of course, people in every community and church will find creative and appropriate ways to PraiseWalk on May 30, 2020. So that we can know that we are praying in unity with fellow believers even though we may be scattered in different neighborhoods and homes, we encourage you to follow the simple two-page PraiseWalk Guide. This guide is flexible but simple, helping believers praise and pray in unity in two ways.

In collaboration with WVMBR Internet Radio Station in Decatur, Illinois, March For Jesus USA will be hosting this broadcast that will implement the “PraiseWalk Praise Guide” and the “March For Jesus Song List”  leading participants in a unified celebration of the Savior. This will be a marathon broadcast and is designed in such a way that Christ Followers in each of the US times zone can join at 11:00 am ( their zone ) and PraiseWalk  through 12 noon.

Participants will simply go to www.wvmbr.com and locate the March For Jesus logo.  They will click the logo and then be taken to the site of the WVMBR App for download on their mobile device. The broadcast will air on Saturday, May 30th only. For safety reasons we are encouraging participants using earbuds to utilize only one earbud if they PraiseWalk on the sidewalks and streets.

Following the words of Philippians 2, we are inviting all participating Christians to unite in a gesture and confession of faith at exactly 12 noon in their time zone. We are encouraging participants to kneel in place, raising their hands and audibly proclaiming, “Jesus Christ is Lord.” And then to remain in that posture for a few moments to praise the Savior and to pray His blessing upon the community.

“That at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are
in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue
will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
– Philippians 2:10-11

To summarize, the March for Jesus is now a potentially worldwide event that everyone can participate in. Visit WVMBR.com for a live Praise Walk broadcast at 11 am in your time zone, and you can pray in agreement with leaders in your area of the U.S. At 12 noon, wherever you are, please kneel and pray as instructed above. At the March for Jesus website, www.TheMarchForJesus.org, you can find great prayer and praise resources, including a Spotify playlist.

This is a wonderful event. I will join it in my home, and invite others to join me. Being 83, I can no longer get on my knees with no support m, so I will stand and lift my arms to praise and honor my Messiah, Jesus Christ

What is the Biblical precedent for this?

They will know we are Christians by our love, by our love, they will know we are Christians by our love.
