I Prayed have prayed
Reading Time: 3 minutes

There is an increased attack on those of FAITH in recent weeks. We are not only facing cultural and political wars; the adversary is trying to destroy our homes, our marriages, and our children. For many who have been determined to stand in the gap and see things spiritually shift in our communities and nation, it’s been getting personal. There is a targeted attempt to come against our homes and families to such a degree we will lose hope and stop praying. The devil knows how to hit below the belt and attack our personal lives so that we will have no zeal or passion to focus on anything or anyone else, thus robbing our corporate authority in prayer.

I have been aware of many who are facing mountains of sickness and disease, wayward children, marital discord, and relational tensions. Though these may be ongoing issues through every season, there is an intensity in this season that is draining people’s energy, endurance, and spiritual stamina. The mountains of unbelief, rebellion, and anti-Christ agendas at the national level are also growing larger before our eyes. There is a growing sense of hopelessness and despair. The mountains just seem too big this time.

In the face of these mountains, what can we do? The psalmist expressed his own distress when facing insurmountable odds:

“You don’t let me sleep. I am too distressed even to pray! I think of the good old days, long since ended, when my nights were filled with joyful songs. I search my soul and ponder the difference now. Has the Lord rejected me forever? Will He never again be kind to me? Is His unfailing love gone forever? Have His promises permanently failed? Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has He slammed the door on His compassion? And I said, “This is my fate; the Most High has turned His hand against me.” (Psalm 77:4-10 NLT)

Thankfully, the psalmist didn’t end there. He caught himself and realized there was a solution to his dilemma.

But then I recall all you have done, O LORD; I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago. They are constantly in my thoughts. I cannot stop thinking about your mighty works. O God, your ways are holy. Is there any god as mighty as you? You are the God of great wonders!
You demonstrate your awesome power among the nations.” (Psalm 77:11-14 NLT)

The psalmist realized that by magnifying the Lord’s faithfulness above the mountains of hopelessness and despair, his perspective would change and his faith would be renewed. By recalling answered prayers and past breakthroughs, he would realize just how true God is to His Word. Where the enemy wants us to think God won’t come through this time, God wants us to recite all the times He’s already come through!

I’ve been dealing with this personally as I’ve been battling for one of my sons who is walking away from the Lord. I’ve never been this way before. My heart breaks and I have little strength to intercede for anything or anyone else when my own child is lost. And yet…. God reminds me to look back. He tells me to remember all the times previously when I doubted His response and wondered if He was listening. As I recalled all those times of waiting and wondering, I realized that EVERY TIME, He came through! It wasn’t in the way or the time that I had hoped for, but He was faithful to His Word. Many times, it turned out even better than what I had thought should work.

My verbal litany of past breakthroughs shifted the atmosphere and brought me peace instead of fear. My prayers turned from petition to praise and from doubt to determination in standing strong before the mountains that once threatened me. By magnifying His faithfulness in my past and recalling His absolute commitment to His Word, my faith has been strengthened and my hope restored.

As we face the mountains before us, both personally and corporately, don’t keep magnifying them or reciting their size or strength. Determine to magnify the Lord by recalling previous answers to prayer and the ways in which He has already proven Himself. Don’t let discouragement or delayed promises keep you from standing strong.  Rather than gazing on that mountain of seeming impossibility, fix your eyes on the Mountain of the Lord that is higher than any other. At the time of fullness when our prayers converge with His purposes, those mountains will be crushed by the weight of His glory and presence.

In the meantime, don’t move. It’s the mountain that must give way – not you.

Sometimes the garbage taking place in our nation seems to be like a wave that is gaining size and speed. Thank you for encouraging me to not give these circumstances too much credit for their size and power, for reminding me that God is to them what we are to insects that have no legs. He can squash them without effort.

I also have a couple of friends overwhelmed in their personal lives. I’m going to forward this article to a lot of people.

I hope I’m not to late to ask for prayer. Is it ever too late? I think not. One of my daughters (mid 30’s) has suffered through a terrible divorce, left with two small boys (5 yrs ago). During that time she has developed migraines that last 30 – 40 days at a time with only 3 weeks in between. She also has over 45 food allergies. She has since remarried to a man with 3 children who have also suffered a great deal of abuse. This young family of 7 has battle after battle and are struggling in so many area, both all individuality and as a family. Our daughter is a Christian but her new husband of three years cannot quite get there because the problems just never cease to end. There are many more details that would take too long to write down, but my husband and I would greatly appreciate prayers for our daughter and all of her family. It seems like they are on a sinking ship but I know Our God saves and heals the wounded and broken hearted. Also pray that we as parents pray and say (or be silent) as the Lord would lead us. Thank you so very much.

    Hi Geri,
I prayed for your daughter, husband and their children. I prayed that her husband will hear God’s still small voice and become the head of the household that God wants him to be. I prayed that any doors allowing the enemy access would be closed and that all strongholds would be destroyed. I prayed that your daughter would be delivered from all allergies and migraines and be the wife that God wants her to be. I prayed for Gods warring angels to do warfare on their behalf and his ministering angels to minister to them in every way that they need. And I also prayed that God would place the entire family high upon a rock far out of reach of the enemy’s grasp. God bless you and your family and don’t stop praying!!!!!!!!!

For quite some time, my daughter has fought against the sex-ed program in the school district. As a result, she and their business has been targeted by the people behind this agenda. It became too much and I almost lost my daughter yesterday to suicide. I praise God that she cried out for help and is now in the hospital. My son-in-law said, “She can rot in hell. She won’t get any help from me or her daughters.” You can see he is not a Christian who understands his role as a husband and protector. It is my prayer and decree that what the devil meant for evil, God will turn to good; that all the things festering that have now come to light will be dealt with and healed; and that my son-in-law comes into a saved relationship with the Lord and an understanding of his role as a husband. Amen!

Yes! A situation with one of my children that has been going on for two years has me devastated. While I’ve been assisting my parents who are Pastors in ministry via Praise & Worship and leading the youth – my own children are being attacked right under my nose and the pain is unbearable. I went from losing this child’s father while I was 5months pregnant with her to an abusive marriage, and now this. It’s like how much can one take when all I do is give of myself. If the Lord gives me a word or song of the lord for others, why wouldn’t he let me in on my own child? The suffering is too intense. And this isn’t a woe is me this is my life. It has been my life. So as long as I’m obeying God I can count on a life full of trauma? How does one go from feeling so close to God to feeling more separated from Him more than I ever have in one week! When I go to pray and speak in tongues because it was a constant thing for me – I remember that I am still mad at God.

Lord, I pray for my sister, Yvonne. Lord, would you strengthen her with power through your Spirit in her inner being so that the presence of Christ in her heart would overflow. Would you pour out your Spirit on her so that she may have power to grasp how wide and long and high deep is the love of Christ, that she my be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Would you intervene in the situations with her children. May she have the assurance that even as you are using her in the lives of others that you are at work on her behalf. Guard her heart with the peace of Christ.
    In Jesus’ name, amen

This according to Christian Science is not real it is only the physical that is recurring in
your life situations. Mind or God knows only the real picture. Align your thoughts which are
(things) to the true picture as often as possible every day.

God answers prayers in many ways so keep alert as to material conditions for a change which
would be God’s direction for you!!

I know this will afford you assurance and guidance!

My daighter filed a police report regarding abuse at school and/or school bus for her special needs son.
She also confronted her “team” at his IEP meeting about changes promised over a year ago. His hearing impaired class needs a sign language para and substitute teacher. He needs gym class activity not just a walk in the park.
Logan recently had a biopsy for allergens. It was negative but they found he doesn’t digest his food so probably has stomach ache most of the time. He is 15 and we’ve been doing this most of his life with medical voices saying, we don’t know. Result is non vernal and behavior issues.
I believe there are Spiritual issues but i feel very alone as most question my perspective.

I’m sooooo sorry Karen. Praying for your son and you too in this quagmire of a dilemma, and then some. I’m asking God to intervene powerfully on your son’s behalf and that He moooooves those who can make a difference and that all the misery that he’s been suffering through is vanquished and that you see evidence of God’s own hand moving on behalf of you and your son in a visible and concrete way. Father may it be so, in Jesus name, amen.

Good morning 🌄
Roman’s 5:1-11
Therefore, having been justified by faith , we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ ,2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand , and rejoice in hope of the glory of God .3 And not only that , but we also glory in tribulations , knowing that tribulation produces persaverance; 4 and perseverance, character, character, hope.5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us .6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us , in that while we were still sinners , Christ died for us . 9 Much more then , having now been justified by His blood , we shall be saved from wrath through Him, 10 For if we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more having been reconciled , we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that , but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ , through whom we have now recieved the reconciliation.
Roman’s 8:28-39
And we know all things work together for good to those who love God , to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He for knew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son , that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

God’s Everlasting Love
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God be for us , who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son , but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him freely give us all things ? Who shall bring charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen , who is even at the right hand of God , who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine,or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:
” For Your sake we are killed all day long ;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. ”
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For Iam persuaded that neither death nor life , nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things to come , 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing , shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord ( master) .
Iam 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
And seeking God for myself and you all !
I know God’s word does not fail and I stand on it 100% ! Praying God’s word has been effective in my prayer life as the Spirit leads . I know God is in control and He does not fail . I’ve been praying for my husband for 22 years. And my children since they were born . God knows the many trials I have been through and my children will serve the Lord. Some day I will see this , Iam standing on His word !
Your inercessor in Christ

Yes, the Lord will always answer, in His time. I prayed for my brother for over 40 years and my husband almost 40 and God has answered those prayers. And I know that even if the answers hadn’t come in my lifetime, they would come because the Lord is always faithful. Struggles still remain, and we get discouraged. Thanks to Wanda and all of you for sharing..

“Faith For Healing in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.”

We CANNOT fight thoughts, feelings , emotions, and pain with other thoughts!!!! WE MUST FIGHT THESE NEGATIVE/DARK THOUGHTS, EMOTIONS, and PAIN WITH SPEAKING GOD’S WORDS!!! CONFESSING GOD’S WORD OUT LOUD WITH OUR MOUTHS IS HOW WE WILL DEFEAT THE ENEMY 100 times but this is true Spiritual warfare.

This is our labor as Christians and believers in the finished works of Jesus Christ!!! We CANNOT let our physical challenges be louder than our belief and CONFIDENCE in the Promises of God!
Stay Encouraged…. God Bless you and NEVER GIVE UP!!!!

Bad Report No. 1: “I get sick.”

That may have been true in the past, but it should not be true of your future! God’s will is that you live in divine health all the days of your life (Galatians 3:13). Because we know we’ll have what we say (Mark 11:24), speak healing, protection and divine health over your body instead.

    SAY THIS
“I do not expect or receive any kind of sickness or disease in my body. I resist it in the Name of Jesus. I rebuke it now. No plague will come near my home. I walk in supernatural and divine health every day of my life!”

    Psalm 91:10; Galatians 3:13; Colossians 2:15

I speak healing to all whom believe in the Name that’s above every Name in Heaven and in the earth. Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One. The Anointing is Released when we Call on the Name of Jesus. His Name Conquers, and Eradicates every work, every assignment of Satan. The Name Jesus is above Every Name!

God bless you, thank you David…this is the most anointed confession I have heard in awhile…simple gospel is His Word confessed out loud and as long as it takes. Faith is being built and by love it is being manifested.
True change comes as we take hold of this truth acting upon it. Miracles have happened as I have practiced this creative word speaking. Chose this day life or death…it is in the power of the tongue.
God watches over His word to perform it. Rejoice…as you said, it is a labor. Faith is a labor of working the word..and faith works by the love of God to His creation….He spoke into being, and so are we commissioned to speak His word-Jesus. Blessings to you all.

Lewis Turner
October 10, 2019

Thank you Wanda, for sharing about your son and difficult times. I am a regional intercessor, with a focus on teaching and researching what God’s word says. My wife and I have raised 4 children, all of whom put their faith in the Lord. One daughter, who had been in rebellion, who turned back to following the Lord, is now going through a costly divorce due to abuse that got worse and actually hurt her, that went on for 18 years. She has been shattered. My wife and I are pained at just recently learning about the abuse. I know that the situation has shattered my daughter, and evidently, so much she is again walking away from the Lord–possibly to consider a homosexual lifestyle. That really pains my wife and I.

We have been reminded of the Lord that He will bring our daughter back to Himself because we are seeking the Lord. There is scripture we are encouraging ourselves with about that. Still, I feel like that Psalm writer that you quoted in PS 77:4-10. I ask the question–how long oh Lord – will it be before she turns back to the Lord. My wife and I pray daily, and I am learning to understand what the Father of the prodigal son may have been doing when he watched every day for his son’s return. I remind myself while waiting, God’s Word cannot fail. It will accomplish its purpose, which I believe to call my daughter back to a relationship with the Lord–not one that she had to “please” Mom and Dad, but because she personally wants to get to know Jesus.

On top of this, – more – issues also arise in – other areas – that affect me personally, I just published a book that researched Hebrew letters and used them to determine the meanings of Names of God in the Old Testament. I shared my work with my pastor, who did not want to look at the work until it was finished–uhm?? I was hoping for his input before going to the publisher. This book has had both three editors and comments by other Christian leaders. It took 6 years of detailed research, prayer, much research, more prayer for wisdom, much prayer for God’s wisdom, and that cycle continued for a long time to bring this study together in a way that could be understood. Now, my pastor wants me to meet with the elders about it. He has – not – talked with me about any of his concerns. I say again–he has not talked with me – personally – before asking for this meeting. This meeting could be a time to criticize this work in front of others–the elders of my church–some people in academia do not accept the method that I used, or he may not like the conclusions that I come to–I will add that all the conclusions reinforce traditional Biblical viewpoints.

This meeting could be intended for complimenting about this work, but he has not come to me to say I would like to share this good work with the elders.

So–those actions of – not – directly communicating leave me perplexed. Again, that calls for much prayer on my part.

We intercessors face much spiritual warfare personally. One prayer I am praying daily for my family, ministry helpers, and our President, Congress, and even my state legislature is the – Aaronic Blessing. I have been encouraged by the explanation of the Hebrew by some well studied Messianic Jews. It seems though that the more I pray, that more problems develop, and could overwhelm me. I still take time like the Psalmist in Ps 77: 11-14 to remind my self that God will both accomplish His Word, and will protect us.

We often think we are alone, but we are not. I also spend time praying for others. Still, we do reach despair and wonder who is praying for us intercessors?

Wanda, you sharing your story has challenged me to share the above. You have the heart of a mother, and God is hearing your heart cry for your child.

I Chronicles 16:11
Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.
Psalms 61:1-2
Hear my cry, O God;listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

A word of encouragement and, if it is helpful, a way to pray for loved ones who are lost or turned away: my children were raised to know the God of the Bible. We tried to honor Him in our home and were faithful to involve our children in a church that taught the Word and made clear how to have a relationship with Jesus.

The most difficult season was with our son. He was hurt by relationships in the church that didn’t go the way he wanted and became suicidal. For months he took his anger out on us, tried to harm his father, and many times left the house or left friends threatening to go kill himself. The anguish, fear and despair we felt as parents permeated our lives.

Thank God for fellow Believers who came alongside us at our time of greatest need. BE that kind of sister or brother to others.
Thank God for the image He gave to me, the knowledge that I could NOT control my son, but that God was in control. The Lord showed me a way to pray – as I cried out to Him, I visualized myself carrying my almost adult son to the cross, where Jesus was hanging, and dying. I laid my son at the foot of the cross, and stood while I watched the blood of Jesus flow over my child, then visualized myself leaving my son, turning from scene, and walking away. I HAD to leave my beloved child in the arms of my beloved Savior who died for both of us.
The more I left my child in God’s hands, the more peace grew in me. I pray this peace for all of you who are hurting because of a lost spouse, family member or child. God wants you to have joy and peace in the midst of heartache. Let Him have His way with you.

Thank you for sharing that visualization you had Beth, and how it helped you. Very powerful. I pray others who read it might be touched by it and consider it for themselves, realizing that God does not necessarily work in the same way for everyone, but He is always working in His way.

When the enemy comes in like a flood the Lord raises a standard. There are more for you than against you. I am a mother, grandmother and great grand mother and the Lord hears our prayers. My son at age 7 in 1977 was poisoned from eating a piece of candy on Halloween. I told him not to eat anything out of the bag as that year someone was putting razors in bags of candy at Toys R Us.I had an emergency I had to go to the hospital as my husbands aunt was in cardiac arrest. She had no children and was 80 years old. My neighbor said she finish are block and take kids on next block. The next morning my son was very sick. Took him to dr said a virus. Three days later he was worse. Dr put him in local hospital. He could not eat pains in stomach. He was there 2 weeks. I asked them to transfer him to Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia. The Drs said bursted appendix’s. They did surgery it was not appendix’s they removed it and they did exploratory surgery they found areas in small intestine purple in color they removed it and sent to lab. They never saw anything like it before. We where there 8 weeks with machines etc. Everytime he ate liquids he had pain. He kept saying I want to die. Heart monitors and kinds of machines. I said fight don’t give up Jesus will heal you.It was a process. We left hospital they said he would never eat regular food again. We had to give him Sustical milk shakes. Well the Lord when he got home I gave him the shakes then 2 days later he had s shake and clear chicken broth. I prayed over everything he ate. Two weeks later when we went back to hospital. He was drinking shake and eating light food. Jesus healed him . He is in his 40 and eats everything. Two years ago he was rushed to the hospital bursted colon caused by scar tissue in small intestine from when he was 7. He came out of surgery did not know where he was spiritually as he does not go to church. He said mom don’t worry I pray ever night to Jesus. Thank you Lord. This is to encourage you. We win

It doesn’t matter, because God’s Word contains His Promises, and declaring and believing His Promises will put us over every time! The promise you have for your family is 2 Corinthians 7:14: “For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the believing wife…or else your children would be unclean. But as it is [because of this], they are [considered/called by God] HOLY.” After doubting that Word for many years I finally decided to surrender to it and BELIEVE it, and in just 6 months I saw my unsaved husband of 33 years of marriage (he was 61) saved and healed of terminal cancer through my believing and verbally declaring this: “THANKS, LORD, that my husband is SANCTIFIED and my sons are HOLY! I don’t look at what I see or listen to what I hear from him, because YOUR WORD is true and it doesn’t matter what my husband looks like or sounds like; I choose to believe You above anything else!” DECLARE THE WORD OVER YOUR HUSBAND AND CHILDREN IN FAITH, AND YOU WILL SEE GOD’S SALVATION ON YOUR HOUSEHOLD! 🙂

I have been drowning in hopelessness and fear for 3 yrs now. My abusive ex husband and his mother are continuing the abuse through family court where connections and payoffs are rampant. They have been determined to take my little boy away from me completely and through the biased judge, have made steady headway. They are simply crushing my son and me. Its literal terrorism with no way out. My son is deteriorating from having to be exposed to their wickedness. God has been silent as things get worse continually. This has put me in debt over $200k so far. I have lost will to pray because it proves ineffective. We are completely broken and weary in this prison…i have no doubt in Gods ability to rescue us, but am broken as to why He hasn’t and fear He may never.

When the enemy comes in, the Spirit of the Lord raises up a standard!!

No weapon formed against you will prosper, every tongue that rises up against you, you shall condemn, for this is the heritage of the servant of the Lord and their righteousness is of Me, says the Lord.

See that? The weapon forms against you Amy, but it will not prosper. Keep trusting in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Have your mind stayed on the Lord, and He will keep you in perfect peace. The Father loves you! Looking unto Jesus, the Author and the Finisher(or developer) of your faith! Holy Spirit come and comfort Amy and her son. Help her pray for her ex husband and his mom. Help her forgive 70 times 7!! Forgive as Christ forgives.

The storm comes to both houses in the parable that Jesus told. The house on the built on the sand fell flat, but the house on the Rock stood firm. The house built on the Rock are those who were doers of the Word, and not hearers only. You gotta be a doer of the Word Amy. Jesus says, “Love your enemies.” Yep, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

“Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.”(Matthew 5:11)

Beloved Wanda, Amen to your words of truth! “The high praises of God are a 2 edged sword in the mouth of the elect” to execute vengeance on his enemies. Psm.149:6-9 paraphrase
Worship, praise and thanksgiving are powerful weapons of righteousness…and this praise of the Lord the gates of hell cannot prevail against.
We pray for your son, and all our sons and daughters that have drifted away from the Lord, or have rebelled against Him, that the Father who loves them will grant them a spirit of repentance that they may know the truth. We pray the Lord will rescue them from the dominion of darkness and transfer them into the Kingdom of His beloved Son. May the love of God in Christ Jesus fall upon them, and draw them into the Beloved. We praise the Name of Jesus and the blood of the Lamb over their minds, souls, spirits and bodies. We worship You, Oh Lord Most High, over the very situations that seem hopeless. May the God of hope then fill us with all joy and peace in believing that we may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit within us. We pray in agreement with Jesus in John 17 that You, Father, will fill us with the love You have for Jesus, that we may be one with You. We pray we will be known by our love. .In Jesus name. Amen
