Campaign Update:  Four states down in the primary voting, and Super Tuesday is next.  Fourteen states will hold a caucus or primary on March 1st. With Trump winning both South Carolina and Nevada this week, the delegate count is still surprisingly not a landslide–yet.   On the Republican side, Trump is still in the lead, with Rubio and Cruz challenging for second.  Texas alone has more delegates up for grabs than all four states in the February primaries, so it is still very much a race.  For the Democrats, Hillary appears to have secured a large number of Super Delegates, adding to her primary totals, giving her 503 to Sanders’ 70 delegates.

Donald Trump took a resounding victory almost hitting the 50% mark but topping out at 46 percent. Similar to South Carolina, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz took a close 2nd and 3rd place.

Donald Trump notched a resounding win in the Nevada caucuses Tuesday, channeling the roiling anger of Republican voters against the establishment and sweeping almost every category of the electorate to build his dominance in the delegate count.

It was a stunning show of momentum for his campaign, one that made it increasingly difficult to imagine a scenario where any other GOP candidate wins the Republican nomination.

“We love Nevada,” Trump said during his brief victory speech at his party in Las Vegas late Tuesday night. “We will be celebrating for a long time tonight.”

“We weren’t expected to win too much and now we’re winning, winning, winning the country,” Trump said. “And soon the country is going to start winning, winning, winning.”

He basked in his success across demographics.

“We won the evangelicals,” he said. “We won with young. With won with old. We won with highly educated. We won with poorly educated. I love the poorly educated.”

On Wednesday morning, he looked ahead to a Trump presidency, detailing the three things he’d do on Day 1 if he wins the White House.

“First thing is knock out some of the executive orders done by our president,” Trump told George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

“One, on border where people can pour into (the) country like Swiss cheese. I would knock out Obamacare. Take care of our vets and military,” the billionaire businessman said.

In the grand scheme, Nevada is only worth 30 proportionally allocated delegates, meaning Trump will win about 12 delegates with Cruz and Rubio each taking 5. The rest to be determined shortly.

However, in the game of momentum and psychological campaigning, Trump has now won 3 out of 4 contests, the most recent with a very high portion of the vote. Heading into Super Tuesday next week could be a game changer for the race if Trump runs the table and starts winning the delegate math game.
