Buses from Miami, Jacksonville, Tampa and Orlando rolled into the capital Tuesday with riders ready to speak out against the proposed expansion of gambling in Florida on the second day of the legislature’s 2021 special session.

Around 200 people rallied on the Historic Capitol steps during a protest organized by the Florida Family Policy Council.

The three-day session is focused on the proposed 30-year gambling agreement, known as a compact, recently negotiated between Gov. Ron DeSantis and the state’s Seminole Tribe
