I Prayed have prayed
Holy and Gracious Lord, we cry out to You for mercy, for Your Spirit to pour out across this nation and revive us again. We weep for and repent on behalf of ourselves, our generational lines, our communities, our states, and our nation for all known and unknown sins. Oh Lord, we humble ourselves before You. We are asking for You to let Your glory fall all across this nation as You did during The Great Awakening and send the revival that we so desperately need. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Atop a serene and exquisitely beautiful hill overlooking the Chesapeake sits a tiny, rundown building, missing its roof and portions of its walls. This rundown and unassuming building holds a rich spiritual history.

Who is praying on the wall?

On November 24, 1740, a group of approximately 2,000 people gathered to hear a great orator. His captivating voice was carried by the Holy Spirit’s wind to the ears of the masses gathered there. He needed no amplification, as the anointing of the Lord fell upon him to beckon to the lost, the wounded, and the hurting.

His theatrical delivery enraptured those who heard him. As he opened his mouth, Holy Spirit fire poured out, and the lost were found. Troubled souls found peace, and brokenness turned into beauty.

George Whitefield was that man. His powerful, Holy Spirit-filled messages, shared across the thirteen colonies, led to the First Great Awakening. This spiritual revival unified the colonies, and America was born in 1776 as a result. Hallelujah! Thank You, Jesus!

The tiny house that remains, along with the unadulterated field where Whitefield preached, stands as a spiritual marker of the Holy Spirit’s outpouring that birthed a nation. Although surrounded by vineyards, the field remains on Bohemia Manor Farm in Chesapeake City, Maryland.

Whitefield called the dwelling his headquarters and would stay there to rest and recover from the thousands of miles he traveled on horseback to share the Gospel throughout the thirteen colonies. He said that the gathering at Bohemia Manor was one of the most deeply moving experiences of his life.

He was invited to stay by the Baynard family, who owned the estate. Sadly, the manor house was destroyed in a fire; however, Whitefield’s headquarters remained intact.

The spiritual seeds of Holy Spirit conviction, repentance, and ultimately, revival remain in these holy and unadulterated grounds. On Friday, October 23, 2026, a group of passionate intercessors and prayer warriors gathered in this sacred place to appeal to Heaven for another Great Awakening.

Rebecca Drury, IFA Major Gift Officer

Rebecca Drury of IFA led us in singing the Star-Spangled Banner. As her exquisite voice reverberated across the Chesapeake and throughout the valley, it became a call to action and a proclamation of our Lord’s promises, even amid the evil encroaching upon us. I know our Lord smiled down on His precious daughter as she lifted her powerful vocal offering to Him.

Kris Kubal, IFA Chief Program Officer

Kris Kubal of IFA led us in an opening prayer, humbly yet boldly asking the Lord to give us more of Himself and for His presence to fall upon the gathering and across the nation. She called forth the purpose of this sacred assembly, beseeching the Lord for His mercy, healing, deliverance, and blessing. Her prayer set the spiritual atmosphere, preparing the people and the land for a shift toward revival.

Each spiritual leader who participated in the Holy Ghost service brought a slightly different yet cohesive message, making powerful declarations that called forth the divine destiny of the United States of America. Those gathered experienced a Holy Spirit-filled time of praise and worship, raising their voices while humbling their hearts before our perfect, Almighty God and Father.

Sharon Bolan (Sharon Bolan Ministries) shared a powerful, heaven-calling message, empowering believers to boldly stand on the promises of God. She shared the story of Ezekiel, who prophesied to the dry bones, commanding them to live, and called everyone gathered there to declare that the dry bones of America would live!

“So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone.  Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them.” Ezekiel 37:7-8

Bolan invited us into a place of repentance, calling us to lay down everything that entangles us. She encouraged us to press in until we had surrendered it all to the Lord. There were tears of release and tears from hearts being transformed as people sought the Lord’s forgiveness and healing.

In 1 Samuel 7:12, it says, “Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen, and called its name Ebenezer, saying, ‘Thus far the Lord has helped us.”

This act of establishing a spiritual marker took place after the Lord helped Israel defeat the Philistines. Samuel set up a stone and named it Ebenezer, meaning “stone of help,” declaring, “Thus far the Lord has helped us.”

The Lord has surely helped America from its inception to this very day. This sacred assembly, held on anointed grounds and marked by the establishment of a spiritual marker, brought people together to cry out for forgiveness with repentant hearts. Such gatherings have been modeled by our spiritual fathers. We put our Lord in remembrance, as He instructs us to do in Isaiah 43:26.

Genesis 35 tells the story of Jacob, who set up a stone pillar at Bethel, where God had spoken to him. This marked a place of divine revelation and a return to faithfulness. Let this be the day of our return to faithfulness!

There has been a revival, a spiritual awakening in America, nearly every fifty years. 2026 is the year of Jubilee, and we have seen the embers of revival beginning to burn. However, we have not yet witnessed the overwhelming Glory of the Lord falling in a way that ignites the consuming fire of the Holy Spirit, turns a nation back to the one true God, and brings healing to the land.

Our consecrated meeting on holy ground, where the peak of the First Great Awakening occurred, was a powerful gathering where hearts poured out in repentance, weeping filled the atmosphere, and sackcloth was put on to move the heart of our Lord. It was nothing short of atmosphere-shifting prayer and intercession. There was an overwhelming sense that this was the ignition point for ushering in the Third Great Awakening.

All of this has been in agreement with, and represents a vital spiritual next step in, the rededication that has been taking place across America on sacred grounds and at wells of revival.

We are waiting in expectation for the glory of the Lord to fall, for our nation to be set right and aligned with Him once again, for families to be reunited, for hearts and minds to be delivered, for healing to come to our communities, and for the Church to be set ablaze as it was at Pentecost.

Oh Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, we have fallen so far from Your perfect and Holy plan for America and for us. Oh, Precious Lord, we plead with You for mercy as we repent of our egregious sins and on behalf of the sins of America. Father, the shedding of innocent blood, idolatry, sexual perversion, pride, and selfishness are at the top of the list where we have broken covenant with You, and we know that we deserve Your righteous judgment. We have seen throughout Biblical history and even in our nation that when Your people humble themselves before You with broken and contrite hearts, You pour out Your mercy and forgiveness and healing. We cry out to You once more, seeking Your face, asking for mercy and grace in our hour of need. Oh Lord, You see the enemy prowling around ready to pounce, but You sit in the heavens and laugh at the evil one. You are the plan, and Your hand of grace is long and wide. Oh, precious Savior, will You forgive us and will You revive us once more so that America completes the mandate You have placed on her? I pray all of this asking and believing for Your perfect will to be done in Jesus Precious and All-Powerful name, Amen.

“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart—These, O God, You will not despise.” Psalm 51:1
