Post a prayer for your state!

If we but touch the hem of His garment… If we have experienced His touch, His power, His healing, His miracle working… If we have experienced a life transformed, overcome obstacles, found freedom, been delivered and set free from bondage… If we have seen His resurrection power in our lives, our marriages, our children, our churches and our communities… If we have been made BRAND NEW and been SAVED – why are we living on the wrong side of His Glory; why are we living for anything other than HIM? Have we stopped bringing before Him what the world says is impossible?

[Suggested readings: the woman with the issues of blood and Jairus, a demon-possessed man delivered, and Lazarus raised from the dead.]

An encounter with the Living God should leave us changed, undone, uncomfortable – possibly offended, angry, terrified…awe-struck and humbled – because an encounter with the Living God should cause us to fall to our knees. When the Word becomes our MIRROR, it changes everything! He is everything! He is holy, mighty, majestic, all-powerful and just. He speaks and the mountains quake and tremble in awe and in anticipation. And at the same time, He is good, kind, gentle, and pursues!

Do we move before Him with hope, faith, and expectancy?  Do we anticipate His move, His breath, and His resurrection power?  Do we expect Him to move in our lives, our families…this nation???

We cannot live like the world when we CHOOSE HIM – when we say YES and make Him Lord and Savior of our lives. He transforms us, renews us, and makes us new; we are born again! It makes sense when we consider that our citizenship is not of this world. As a tabernacle, a living temple…the old way no longer fits; it’s like trying to put a round peg in a square hole. The two (the new and the old) will wrestle but are not meant to coexist.

Meditate on your citizenship in the Kingdom of God. Meditate on His miracles today – the miracles of the Bible and the miracles in your own life and sphere.  Meditate on the reality that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Heb 13:8).  Meditate on what might happen if your life reflected the life of Jesus and if the following Word was true – not just then, but for you today:

I assure you and most solemnly say to you, anyone who believes in Me [as Savior] will also do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these [in extent and outreach], because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in My name [as My representative], this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified and celebrated in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name [as My representative], I will do it.  (Jn 14:12-14 AMP)

PRAYER:

Lord, we ask that You to bring to our minds the many miracles You have done in our own lives – how we came to know YOU as Lord and Savior, how You have changed us, and the many times You have worked in ways that were humanly impossible.  Lord, we know we were created to reflect You, Your Glory and Your Kingdom.  We pray for Your Truth to root deeply within us today.  Give us Your eyes, Your ears, and Your heart as we go about and interact with those around us today.
