For decades, Dutch Sheets has carried a conviction that God intends to bring another Great Awakening to America—and that young people will be at the center of it.

During a message shared at IFA’s July 4 Rededicate America event, Sheets shared the remarkable story of how that conviction began nearly 40 years ago and how, shortly afterward, he received a confirmation so specific that he says he has never forgotten it.
Sheets recalled that in 1990, while speaking to a gathering, he suddenly experienced a vision unlike anything he had experienced before. Instead of seeing the people sitting in front of him, he saw a stadium packed with tens of thousands of young people passionately worshiping Jesus and interceding.
Then the scene changed.
Sheets saw the young people leaving the gathering and returning to different parts of the country. As they went, he said, “balls of fire” began springing up across America—representing revival spreading throughout the nation.
According to Sheets, the Lord then told him, “I’m gonna send a third Great Awakening to America,” and that it would “begin with the youth.”
At the time, Sheets assumed fulfillment might be just around the corner. Instead, he would carry that promise for decades.
About a month after receiving the vision, Sheets traveled to Washington, D.C., during the National Day of Prayer. While there, he learned about an event called Biblethon, where participants took 15-minute shifts reading Scripture aloud near the U.S. Capitol. Readers simply continued wherever the previous participant had stopped, progressing from Genesis through Revelation before starting over again.
Sheets was assigned the 2 a.m. shift.
Beforehand, however, he says God told him that the passage he would read would confirm that the earlier vision had truly come from Him.
Sheets wrestled with that promise. He knew how badly he wanted to believe that awakening was coming, and he feared he could interpret virtually any passage as a confirmation of revival.
So he made an extraordinarily specific request.
“The only way that I would know for 100% sure … that it’s you confirming that vision to me,” Sheets recalled telling the Lord, “is if when I get there and get to read, I get to read either the Book of Haggai or Habakkuk.”
When Sheets arrived the following night, the Bible reading was nowhere near either book. With only minutes remaining before his assigned time, the person ahead of him was still reading from the Gospels.
Then something unexpected happened.
The woman overseeing the event approached Sheets and told him he was next. But instead of telling him to continue where the previous reader stopped, she gave him a choice:
“You can either read the book of Haggai or the book of Habakkuk.”
Sheets was stunned.
He later understood the moment as an emphatic confirmation of what he believed God had shown him: “I’m going to send another great awakening to America. And it will begin with the youth.”
Nearly four decades later, Sheets is still carrying that promise.
For intercessors, his testimony is also a reminder that God’s timing rarely conforms to ours. We may pray for years—or even decades—before seeing the fulfillment of what God has placed on our hearts. Yet Scripture repeatedly calls His people to persevere in prayer, refusing to lose heart while we wait.
Awakening is coming, and God’s confirmation to Sheets is proof. The Lord is doing mighty things in America, especially through the youth. Let’s continue to pray into His plans and purposes, and let’s continue to pray into revival!

pockets of revival have been popping up all across America consistently. i knew God was at work in America..
How blessed to be in community through Christ, embracing and eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace! (Eph. 4:1-6) Thank you, everyone, for these prayers! I am praying to our Lord to guide our youth and our citizens to him, and to bring us Peace stopping all the people , family cartels, thieves that wants to harm us, removing arms, illicit drug, violence, abuse, and anything that doesn’t come from GOD.

For many years I have had a burden for our college kids. Especially praying our Ivy League schools who were founded on Gods word and have drifted deeply into sin; that they would be restored seven times greater than the former.
So interesting that i too have been called to the Daniel fast along with my prayer partner of many years. God has been pouring out his spirit in so many ways in this great country and around the world. we have so much hope in Him. For our weapons are not weapons of this world, rather they have divine power to demolish strongholds! Let us take back what the enemy has stolen brothers and sisters!!!
A few years ago, I started to pray for the salvation of every child that come to my church from infants up to the teens and young adults including post college. That expanded to praying for the parents that they would learn to disciple their children after our church made it part of the out reach for the families. Plus, of course I pray for my children and grandchildren and now my great grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews, etc. My usual prayer is based on putting on the full armor of God. It’s also vital to pray for our pastors, Sunday School teachers, youth leaders

Praise to Jesus!! This is a confirmation of a prayer burden I’ve been carrying for the last several years! I have 2 daughters (Gen Y and Gen Z, and each has a level of faith in their hearts), but I’ve been praying that God would bring them and all their generational friends into a Great Revival. They are tired of empty promises, crass materialism, and hungry for what is TRUE. I am convinced they will find that in a relationship with Jesus. I’ve had this burden since I saw the movie, “The Jesus Revolution.” I grew up during the 1970s and lived that revolution. I taught Catholic Sunday School for 27 years (1989 -2017), but I would gladly be used by God to teach young adults today! May the Lord bring this Revival to fulfillment! AMEN.

I so desperately desire to reach out to those around Lake Mead w a REPENTANCE message. Corpus Christi had a draught that received national attention. We had a repentance service in conjunction w 250 event in DC. That caused Gods promise of 1 Chron 7:13 & 14 to happen and HEAL OUR LAND. praise to God and His servant Jeff Daly w National Day of Repentance for leading 2 international repentance zooms for the healing. Corpus Christi is now out of the drought; our watershed is healthy. Rain started right after that May 17 event and our city REJOICED!
Lord, with our hope placed firmly in You & what the Holy Spirit can & will do…we stand in unity with Dutch that the vision he received is from You. We believe that, by Your holy hands…America will see a new awakening of salvation, repentance & respond to your call of godliness in America. It WILL start & catch fire with our youth, penetrating every area of our nation from top to bottom. When we doubt, encourage & revive us through the promises of Your word. And we stand firm & united against the enemy…and we claim that “the enemy of people’s souls will NOT prevail”. America will be saved!!
I’m not a “poster”, having dropped out of social media years ago. However, I feel constrained to share this. In 2010, the Lord spoke to my wife and I these words: “I am sending you to Kentucky to pray for America’s next Great Awakening”. We packed up our stuff, put our house in California on the market and headed east. In August of 2010 we arrived in a city called Paducah with an unsold house, five adults, a six week old baby and no cash – knowing no one. Cashing out a small retirement account got us into a rental house. The owner invited us to prayer walk his farmland. Years later we heard the story of a record breaking harvest. Within weeks we had minimum wage jobs In a year we moved into a house on four acres in Benton, KY. On arrival in Kentucky we began the labor of prayer and met the intercessor who cried out for God to send someone from out of state to pray. We began to pray for a governmental shift. 16 years later the Kentucky government has legislated freedom for teachers to share the gospel in public schools and “In God We Trust ” and the American flag is displayed in all the classrooms in our county. Students are allowed to share their faith. We’ve prayer walked and became a small fulfillment of a Dutch Sheets word about ERT teams in black vans out praying on the land. We’ve seen reconciliation in a “sundowner” community where no people of color were visible in public life. My father had a quote in his Bible from G. K. Chesterton: “Christianity has not been tried and found wanting. it has been found difficult and left untried.” Difficult yes; impossible – no. You cannot imagine what God can do through obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Your capacity to choose righteousness and obedience was bought with the blood of Christ. Don’t squander it. There are countless untold stories of obedience of those whose reward will be great in heaven. Strive to be one of them.

That was a remarkable vision & confirmation for Dutch Sheets. It was not unlike Gideon & the fleece. When Charlie Kirk was assassinated his voice was not snuffed out. The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church. The one year anniversary of Charlie’s death is September 10. A prayer: “Precious friend of sinners, Yeshua, Lord Jesus Christ, thank You for Charlie Kirk’s life. Help us to REMEMBER all that he stood for! He was able to lead youth to love & obey You. Please use Charlie’s testimony to fan the flames of the Third Great Awakening in America. We do not understand Your ways very well! We praise You for all that You are doing to stir the hearts of America’s youth. May Your will be done on earth as in Heaven. In the name of Christ, son of God, our Savior, I pray this. Amen.”
