David Kubal
CEO, President
David Kubal is the President and CEO of IFA. As a nationally recognized faith leader, David serves on many boards, including the National Faith Advisory Board and the National Day of Prayer. He is also frequently featured in national news outlets such as the Washington Times, The Christian Post, Victory News, and Fox News. A graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary and ordained pastor, David deeply understands the spiritual underpinnings of the nation’s issues. Throughout 40 years in ministry, Intercessors for America, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, David has excelled in building relationships that exponentially impact the Kingdom.
At IFA, David has emphasized the tremendous value of the intercessor to God’s plans and purposes, as well as the need to connect each intercessor to the unfolding news, which is history in the making. David ‘s latest book release in 2025 is titled Impacting Generations; How ordinary people can influence the future of nations. He has also published five other books on American history, prayer, and accounts of answered prayer in America.
Kris Kubal
Chief Program Officer
Kris Kubal serves as IFA’s Chief Program Officer. After a career in marketing and advertising, Kris enjoyed raising her young family before God called her to serve at IFA. On staff for over 15 years, Kris has pivoted from her singular role in marketing to also spearhead and oversee IFA programs, including the robust and growing state prayer ministry with nearly 150 volunteer leaders serving on their state’s prayer leadership team and IFA state staff.
She and her team lead IFA’s groundbreaking national and state Policy & Prayer events, which are crucial to the growth and effectiveness of IFA’s state prayer movement. Kris also directs legislative efforts and issue content as well as IFA initiatives such as Vote Your Values and Appealing for Life. She is the host of IFA’s award-winning weekly webcast and podcast, Pray with America’s Leaders. Connecting with others in policy and prayer to leverage relationships for the Kingdom is Kris’ passion.
Cecelia Gleason
Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer
Cecelia Gleason has served Intercessors for America since 2007 as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. She brings decades of leadership experience in government, finance, and international business.
Her background includes roles with a U.S. Ambassador and Senator, an international law firm, an international bank, and a presidential appointment at the U.S. Department of State. Cecelia considers it a privilege to serve IFA and is deeply rooted in her belief in the power of prayer.
Donna Armstrong
Gift Processing Manager
Donna Armstrong serves as Gift Processing Manager at Intercessors for America, overseeing donation processing, reporting, and donor receipts. She is committed to accuracy and stewardship in supporting IFA’s donors and leadership.
Donna brings a heart for service shaped by years of faithfully raising and homeschooling seven children over 36 years, a role she considers one of her greatest accomplishments. She is grateful to contribute to IFA’s mission of equipping intercessors through her work.
Rebecca Drury
Major Gifts Officer
Rebecca Drury serves as a Major Gifts Officer at Intercessors for America, building meaningful relationships with donors and expressing gratitude for their support of the ministry’s mission.
Originally from Missouri, Rebecca recently relocated to Virginia and enjoys connecting personally with supporters across the country. She is passionate about worship, hospitality, and encouraging others in their faith. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading, hosting gatherings, and exploring new places.
Amy Ferrell
Office Administrative Assistant
Amy Ferrell serves as Office Administrative Assistant at Intercessors for America, supporting daily operations, communications, and mailings. She is often one of the first points of contact for those connecting with IFA.
Amy is passionate about serving the Lord and views her role as an opportunity to glorify God as an intercessor and servant. She is grateful to contribute to IFA’s mission of uniting, informing, and equipping believers in prayer.
Kris Kennedy
Office Manager
Kris Kennedy serves as Office Manager at Intercessors for America, where she helps ensure the smooth operation of daily office functions and supports the broader team. She has been part of the IFA family for over four years.
Kris and her husband, Dan, have been married for more than 39 years. They have a son and two grandchildren and enjoy spending time with their family.
Mackenzie Kubal
Member Relations Assistant
Mackenzie Kubal serves as Member Relations Assistant at Intercessors for America, supporting donor engagement, data management, and development projects. She also assists with coordinating mailings and strengthening relationships with IFA’s supporters.
Mackenzie is passionate about serving others and enjoys learning new skills. She values being part of work that creates a meaningful and positive impact through equipping intercessors across the nation.
Shelley Oberlander
Director of National Mobilization
Shelley Oberlander serves as Director of National Mobilization at Intercessors for America, equipping and mobilizing intercessors nationwide. She brings experience in leadership, training, and civic engagement.
A graduate of James Madison University, she previously worked in internal audit and spent years homeschooling her children. Shelley has also served in election integrity leadership roles in Virginia. She is passionate about preserving America’s Christian heritage and helping equip the next generation through prayer.
Alena X. Orphanides
Digital Growth Director
Alena X. Orphanides serves as Digital Growth Director at Intercessors for America, bringing expertise in digital strategy, fundraising, and political communications.
She previously served as Digital Director at the Republican National Committee, raising over $20 million and improving campaign performance. She later worked at The Digital Chamber and Google during the 2024 presidential cycle. Alena holds degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and Penn State Law and lives in Pennsylvania with her husband.
Amy Sabat
National State Program Manager
Amy Sabat serves as National State Program Manager at Intercessors for America and has faithfully served the ministry for six years. Her work supports and strengthens intercessors across the nation.
Born and raised in New York, Amy experienced a life-changing encounter with Jesus in 2011. She has been married for 40 years and is a proud mother and grandmother. She enjoys cooking, hosting, playing sports, and spending time with family and friends.
Christine Salb
Finance Coordinator
Christine Salb serves as Finance Coordinator at Intercessors for America, overseeing donation processing, account reconciliation, and financial operations. She brings more than 25 years of experience in office management and accounting.
Christine also has a background in real estate and has been an intercessor for over 30 years. She is deeply committed to the power of prayer and is grateful to support IFA’s mission through her work.
Heather Stoner
Legislative Liaison
Heather Stoner serves as Legislative Liaison for Intercessors for America, building relationships with Members of Congress and coordinating events on Capitol Hill. She also secures guests for IFA’s weekly webcast.
Her background includes work in political fundraising, donor relations, and development roles in Texas. Heather is passionate about connecting faith and government and supporting IFA’s mission. She lives in Loudoun County, Virginia, near her family.
Nathan Tabler
Communications Manager
Nathan Tabler serves Intercessors for America by shaping and developing the organization’s newsfeed, equipping intercessors with timely and relevant information.
A graduate of Regent University with a degree in theology, Nathan brings together his passions for politics and the gospel in his work. He has been part of the IFA team for four years and lives in West Virginia with his wife, Brandy.
Lisa Townsend
Educator & Volunteer Leader
Lisa Townsend is a lifelong educator with over 30 years of teaching experience, primarily in special education. She holds degrees in music, merchandising, and a Master of Science.
Lisa has led Bible studies, prayer groups, and speaks about her faith in Jesus. She came to faith through a powerful life transformation and has coauthored devotional books. She enjoys writing, music, missions, and spending time with her husband and family. Lisa considers IFA to be the gold standard of intercession and loves serving the gifted intercessors in this ministry.
Cara Vest
Development Director
Cara Vest serves as Development Director at Intercessors for America, building relationships with and supporting the ministry’s community of intercessors. She also serves as Executive Assistant to the President.
Cara joined IFA seven years ago after 17 years as a stay-at-home mom, a role she considers her greatest calling. She and her husband, David, have a blended family of four children and value time spent together as a family.
Bill West
Regional Field Leader
Bill West serves as a Regional Field Leader at Intercessors for America, bringing decades of leadership experience in business and ministry.
He came to faith during the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the 1970s, a turning point that transformed his life and restored his marriage. Bill later built a large network marketing organization and worked in real estate for many years. He is passionate about prayer and remains committed to serving faithfully in God’s Kingdom.
Betsy West
Regional Field Leader
Betsy West serves as a Regional Field Leader at Intercessors for America, with a heart for prayer, discipleship, and encouraging others in their faith.
She came to faith during the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the 1970s and helped lead home-based prayer gatherings for young couples. Alongside her husband, she built a successful business career and later worked in real estate. She finds great joy in intercession and walking with others in their journey with the Lord.
