Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is reportedly preparing a major reversal for thousands of service members who were discharged under the Biden administration’s COVID vaccine mandate. The move is being celebrated by many conservatives and military families who viewed the mandate as unjust and harmful to military readiness.

Post a prayer for your state!

From The Daily Wire:

Troops forced out over the COVID-19 vaccine may soon see a dramatic change as War Secretary Pete Hegseth — even for those who do not wish to return to military service.

“I’m directing the Under Secretary of War for Personnel and Readiness to establish a Department of War COVID-19 reinstatement and Reconciliation Task Force,” Hegseth explained, noting that their first move would be to assist anyone who wanted to return to military service to do so.

“You were mistreated by the Biden Pentagon, and we are fixing that injustice,” Hegseth concluded.

According to reports, approximately 8,700 service members were discharged between 2021 and 2023 for refusing the COVID vaccine mandate imposed under former President Joe Biden. Thousands reportedly received less-than-honorable discharges, lost enlistment bonuses, or were denied education benefits after being separated from service.

The COVID vaccine mandate was a violation of personal liberty and conscience rights, especially for troops who objected on religious or medical grounds. Critics at the time argued the policy weakened military morale and readiness at a time when global instability and recruitment challenges were already placing pressure on the armed forces. Now, years later, we can see that these critics were correct.

The new reconciliation effort would reportedly restore benefits, correct discharge records, and help former troops return to military service if they choose. President Donald Trump previously pledged to reinstate troops removed under the mandate with full back pay, arguing that the policy unfairly targeted patriotic Americans willing to serve their country. And now, after years of prayer, these wronged soldiers will finally receive the justice they were denied so long ago.

Let’s pray for justice, restoration, and healing for those impacted by these unjust policies. Additionally, let’s also pray for wisdom and integrity among military leaders as they work to rebuild trust and strengthen America’s armed forces!

Thank you for this great news that indeed, these unjust discharges from the Biden Admin are finally being reversed and are honoring the military service of the men and women who were unjustly discharged. Praises be to YOU for Pres. Trump, Pete Hegseth and all involved.

Oh, Father, may this be a point in time in which there is humility, reparations, forgiveness, and restoration for these fine men and women who were unjustly discharged from serving our country. Lord, many have moved on with their careers and lives. So, Lord, use this opportunity to heal broken hearts and right the wrong done to them. Bless and oversee this work. Bless Sec. of War Hegseth in this decision. Protect and keep him and his family. May You be glorified in this matter. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
