Oversight Committee Subpoenas Bondi Over Epstein Files
Though the Middle East and the SAVE America Act have received a great deal of media attention, the Epstein files continue to dominate headlines, especially in publications that lean left. Recently, Attorney General Pam Bondi was subpoenaed to testify about the Justice Department’s investigation into Epstein and its handling of the sex trafficker’s notorious files.

From AP News:
Attorney General Pam Bondi was subpoenaed Tuesday to answer questions from Congress about the Justice Department’s sex trafficking investigation of Jeffrey Epstein and the agency’s handling of millions of files related to the disgraced financier.
Bondi was ordered to appear for a deposition on April 14 by the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform after a vote earlier this month that was supported by five Republicans.
The Justice Department’s failure to fend off the subpoena from the Republican-led committee underscores widespread discontent among President Donald Trump’s own base over Bondi’s management of the review and release of a trove of documents from the criminal investigation into Epstein.
Committee Chairman James Comer wrote in a letter to the Attorney General that the “Committee has questions regarding the Department of Justice’s handling of the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and his associates and its compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act.” He added that Attorney General Bondi is “directly responsible for overseeing the Department’s collection, review, and determinations regarding the release of files” and therefore may “possess valuable insight into these efforts.”
As AP notes, the Trump administration has faced relentless criticism since it began releasing the Epstein files in December. Critics on both the left and the right, frustrated by the slow release process and frequent redactions, have accused the administration of seeking to cover up the truth and protect certain individuals. The DOJ, meanwhile, has fiercely denied these accusations, maintaining that has “worked as quickly and diligently as possible to review and release millions of documents required under the law,” according to AP.
As Attorney General Bondi prepares to appear before Congress, let’s continue to pray diligently for truth, transparency, and justice!
