Recently, a man in Maryland was arrested for attempting to murder a Trump administration official. This attack serves as a potent reminder of the need to pray for our nation’s leaders.

A Maryland man is facing attempted murder charges after authorities say he attempted to kill Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought at his home in Northern Virginia.
Arlington County Police arrested Colin Demarco, 26, on January 22. Demarco said that he feared a “fascist takeover” of the country under the Trump administration and that he was writing a manifesto and instructions on topics such as “Body Disposal Guide,” according to court documents reviewed by CBS News.
Charging documents say that Demarco planned to kill someone with the initials “R.V.” who “has served as a presidential appointee.” A source familiar with the case later confirmed to CBS News that Vought was the intended target.
Demarco reportedly visited visited Director Vought’s home last year, being caught on a Ring doorbell camera on August 10. According to the Daily Wire, he was charged with attempted murder, carrying a firearm without a permit, and unlawfully wearing a mask.
The Daily Wire notes that Director Vought has faced numerous death threats, though he isn’t the only member of the Trump administration that has faced violence. President Trump himself survived two assassination attempts in 2024 while still a candidate. Vice President JD Vance also faced an attack on his family’s home. All in all, it is clear that our leaders are under attack and need our prayers.
Let’s pray for the protection not just of those in the Trump administration, but of every leader in positions of authority across the nation!

We come to you for protection, O Lord our God. Save our President and all our leaders in this nation from their persecutors—rescue them according to Psalms 7:1.

Return, O Lord, and rescue them. Save them because of your unfailing love according to Psalms 6:4.
And may they live in the shelter of the Most High and find rest in the shadow of the You Almighty God, according to Psalms 91:1.

Lord, we thank you for watching over us, or leaders, and our country. We recognize the faith of our fathers who established this union and the faith that remains in the lives of the leaders we have today. You, Father God, continue to protect us with Your Devine protection as we put You first in our lives.
The USA is Yours to serve You in a lost and dieing world. As Christians we stand in truth as light for guidance and protection. Reveal the works of the enemy while only just a thought. Expose the evil in ways that allow laws of this land to establish peace and safety. Reduce the threat of violence to rubble before there is any harm done. Empower the law enforcement to see what they need to see and hear what they need to hear, before evil does make their move, before their destruction. Embolden the Justice department at every level to do the right thing to secure those paths marked with soon, deception, and crime.
Thank You for the candidates and people doing their part in exposing the truth that others, even in leadership now, try to hide, cover up, and exploit. Reveal to us what we need to know this primary election this month and March 3 2026, in time for voters to move clearly and with focus to make important changes in leadership, changes from the compromised offices, the effects of DEI and failed policies. Allow the system to purge the bad during this month and next in the ways established with the election process, and empower the right people to do their jobs freely and as designed.
Break every stronghold and all deception that comes against our nation. Be with Budget and Management in Your powerful and mighty way, to restore our country back to greatness, functioning again in ways that glorify You.
God, we ask You to protect our leaders, particularly Russ Vought. We pray that those who would harm our leaders would be stopped and brought to justice. It is You Lord, that can secure our freedom and protect us all.
We turn to You, our only hope, and acknowledge Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. God bless America.
Psal 91:3-6
3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

Father, we ask for complete protection for this faithful servant. Keep him and all servants of your Kingdom under Your care. Amen
If we don’t get ourselves together here in the US, we will implode. “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation: and a house divided against a house falleth.” (Luke 11:17). “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? (Psalm 11:3). What attracted me at first to this post was the prayers that were going up to God on behalf of our country. This is what I thought, as Christians, was going to be the emphasis. But I see so much division and mess. America is in trouble and we should be ashamed. We need to pray together for forgiveness of our sins and repent. God have mercy on US.
