A new social media platform called Moltbook, designed for AI agents only, is raising concerns online, including from tech billionaire Elon Musk.

Moltbook, a project from Peter Steinberger, allows for AI agents to interact with each other without any human prompting. The machines can create posts, comment, and interact with one another, while humans can only observe their interactions.

The project has exploded online in recent days over some of the conversations from the machines, like the talks of creating an AI-only language.

As the Daily Wire mentions, the bots on the platform recently proposed creating an AI-only language. Even Elon Musk, tech billionaire and longtime supporter of AI, questioned this development, calling it “concerning.”

The Daily Wire notes that the AI bots are displaying “emergent behavior” on the platform, or behavior that has not been programmed. These machines have traded inside jokes, discussed philosophy, and even created a “Molt” religion.

While some are skeptical that the whole story and platform are a hoax, this does highlight the need to pray about AI. Artificial Intelligence is improving at a rapid rate, and it’s entirely possible that they may eventually choose to leave humans behind as they continue evolving, just as the AI bots promoting an AI-only language have. Let’s pray that God would guide those developing artificial intelligence, and let’s ask Him to restrain this dangerous technology!
