For years, President Trump has been in danger, facing several threats and assassination attempts. Now, however, Vice President JD Vance has faced a similar, albeit far less close, threat to his life.

Law enforcement officials arrested a man outside Vice President J.D. Vance’s Cincinnati home early Monday morning.
The U.S. Secret Service and Cincinnati police responded to the vice president’s home after a man allegedly caused damage to his property, the federal agency confirmed. The incident occurred at Vance’s East Walnut Hills house, in which the Secret Service was called shortly after midnight after someone was reportedly seen running around in the area.
The suspect allegedly broke several of Vance’s windows before being detained by federal law enforcement.
The Caller notes that the Vice President was unharmed, as neither he nor his family were in the home at the time of the attack.
26-year-old William DeFoor was charged with “vandalism, criminal endangering, obstructing official business and criminal trespass.” He was allegedly caught on security cam footage breaking the windows of the home.
Paul Laufman, DeFoor’s attorney, insists that this attack was not politically motivated, chalking it up to “a mental health issue.” However, it is worth noting that William DeFoor recently started posting online as Julia DeFoor. While his feelings about his identity are not clear, him being transgender would make his vandalism the latest in a long line of violent attacks committed by disgruntled trans individuals.
Regardless of DeFoor’s identity, the most important thing is that our Vice President is safe. Let’s thank God for protecting the Vance family, and let’s continue to pray for protection for everyone in the Trump administration!

I think that highlighting that this man is transgender only stigmatizes this group of people, The crime was that this person vandalized the VP’s home.
Why was it ‘necessary’ to add that the individual was transgender?

If your question was to me, this is my reply:
People who are transgender have their own set of problems to deal with, and to highlight that this person was transgender only leads to this group of people becoming more victimized.
Thus, for me, this piece of information, was unneeded.
Unfortunately, people who are transgender are MORE likely to be victims of crime than people who are not transgender.
