A recent investigation revealed in November that Somali fraudsters in Minnesota have been pocketing money set aside for state programs for years. Now, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz is telling Minnesota Governor to fix the fraud or lost federal funding.

“This is a clear dereliction of duty,” Oz wrote in a statement posted to X. “Everyone from Gov. Tim Walz on down needs to be investigated, because they’ve been asleep at the wheel.”

CMS has already shut down the housing program and frozen provider enrollment in several abused programs. Oz now demands Minnesota provide weekly fraud updates, freeze high-risk provider enrollment for six months, verify all current providers and submit a corrective action plan.
“The message to Walz is clear: either fix this in 60 days or start looking under your couch for spare change, because we’re done footing the bill for your incompetence,” Oz wrote.

Administrator Oz notes that the fraudsters used taxpayer money to buy luxury cars and purchase overseas real estate. Most alarmingly, as IFA covered previously, some taxpayer money even made its way back to Somalia where it ended up in the hands of terrorists.
This revelation of fraud in Minnesota has shaken Washington. President Trump responded to the investigation by ending deportation protections for Somali migrants in the state and sending ICE into Minneapolis. Meanwhile, Representative Ilhan Omar, a Somali lawmaker representing Minnesota’s fifth congressional district, has come under fire over links to the fraudsters.
As the Trump administration works to hold those responsible for this fraud accountable, let’s pray that this level of government waste and abuse would never happen in our nation again.

I am so grateful, Lord, that you have allowed for the American people to be blessed by having the current Administration in office. I applaud the bold stance that Dr. Oz is taking regarding the misguided, wrong, evil actions of the government in the state of Minnesota. I ask You, Lord, that any and all of the corrupt and illegal actions regarding this issue will be exposed and dealt with by the federal government. I also pray that the folks who have been involved in the wrongdoing will be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Thank you Jesus.

Send those fraudsters back to Somali. They apparently are not willing to ‘assimilate’ and become ‘an American’. If you cannot become a true American then you have no business being here !
I don’t think it is so much of what do I think as much as it is that God may be smiling down on His people…….that we are united…….that we are indivisible with liberty and justice for all! Amen!
Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you Lord for Dr. Oz. We thank you for his determination, vigor and strength to combat all of the corruption in Mn. and the rest of the nation. We thank you Lord that you give him continued wisdom, direction and guidance in his endeavors to right the wrongs that have been plaguing our country for decades. We thank you Lord for your protection over him, his staff, his family, home, and friends. We thank you Lord to give him sweet sleep every night and to wake up refreshed.

It’s one thing to uncover fraud, it’s another thing to see the perpetrators behind bars and restitution made. We see the headlines now but in a few days we’ll never hear of it again!!! Let’s see some real action!!!!

Yes, we pray that all these people, Walz, Ellison, Omar, and many other, ARE held accountable here in this state of MN. I live here and have been here all of my life, raised my children and now grandchildren, and we are sick over how our state has been run to the ground. There are many here that want to steal, kill, and destroy BUT GOD. He has exposed it and is cleaning up this fraud and filth in the state. I have been declaring for the last couple of years that they will be held accountable and that MN will be saved. Amen and Amen
I’m glad someone is saying something about this. What happens in one state will ultimately happen in all states. Hopefully it will send a message to these “elites” that just because you hold a position in government, or know someone who does, doesn’t mean you can do things that impact the people around you in difficult ways.
