Over the weekend, Democratic Senator John Fetterman appeared on CNN to discuss the shutdown and the state of the Democratic Party. Senator Fetterman, one of the few liberal lawmakers routinely willing to work with conservatives, went so far as to say the Democrats “own the shutdown.”

When asked by CNN host Jake Tapper who bears the responsibility for the government shutdown, Senator Fetterman was quick to blame his own party. He said to Tapper that, “the Democrats really need to own the shutdown,” clarifying that he voter several times to reopen the government.
The Senator, did, however, agree with Tapper about the threat to Americans relying on SNAP. He shared that he found it “deeply, deeply distressing” to hear that 42 Americans have lost their snap benefits, calling on Democrats to “just reopen our government” to solve the issue.
Since the government shutdown began last month, Democrats and Republicans have bought sought to blame each other. However, Senator Fetterman seems to see through the political posturing. His calls for a reopening of the government should resonate with us all. There are more important things right now than partisan politics.

PLEASE INSRUCT, PROTECT, CORRECT, GUIDE JOHN FETTERMAN INTO HIGHER LEVELS OF PATRIOTISM AND LOYALTY TO THE COUNTRY AND TO YOU.

Yes, Lord, we are grateful for this one voice of reason in our government.
I believe Fedderman wants to do what is right.
But, don’t you sense his sadness; like the rich, young ruller that was so sad
because he could not give it all to the Lord and serve Him?
Unless we are willing to surrender all and give all the credit to God,
our desire to do what is right is just anemic at best.
Fedderman needs a lot more prayer that he can surrender it all to God
and learn of Him and His Truth and approve of His ways. (Surrender)
And we, who know what is right, do not need to pretend all is well because
their is a tiny crack in the mask of evil that is trying to take over our country.
Father God,
I thank You for Senator John Fetterman. Thank You for giving him the wisdom to know what is right and the courage to do it. I ask for Your divine protection over him and his family in every way: bodily, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. May the people of Pennsylvania continue to elect him to represent them.
Please cause other Democrat senators to have the courage to do what is right in Your eyes.
I pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus the righteous judge.

Father, thank you for Senator Fetterman and his understanding of knowing when to do what’s right, because it is right, and then to do it right. I pray that others in his party will align with him and other leaders to all do the same. In Jesus name.

Thank You Jesus for Your servant, John Fetterman. May You continue to use him in the U.S. Senate as a voice of truth in this government “shutdown”. I greatly respect this man for his common sense approach to things, and his boldness to speak up in the crazy world of politics in Washington.. Please draw him closer to You. Thank you Jesus.
I appreciate Fetterman’s honesty and integrity. Please bless him and others who are willing to do what is right, and not just what is convenient or expedient, YHVH. Please convict those holding our nation hostage through this government shutdown, and bring them to cross the aisle and to work with the Republicans and sane Democrats to do their jobs.
Heavenly Father, Thank You for Senator Fetterman and the boldness You have put inside of him! Continue to hold him giving him the strength and courage needed to continue to stand for morals and just decisions. Thank You Father for giving him a firm foundation. Protect the senator and his family. Open the hearts of others in his party to join him in the stand he has taken for the people of Pennsylvania and around the nation.
